As shared in an earlier review, I praised this location for great food and service. We experienced the opposite regarding service 2 weeks ago. We arrived to find the inside very busy so some customers were outside. They said they had ordered already and we're just waiting outside while it was ready and told my wife to go ahead. One of the staff yelled at my wife to go back outside and said "we are at capacity, you have to go outside and wait in the line". There was no clear direction on when customers could come in to order. Everyone else outside seemed confused too. My wife waited for some people to leave and then went in and paid for our online order. She told the cashier that she didn't mean to come in earlier but the whole process was confusing and it might help if they had a system or someone at the door as the customers outside were telling others to go ahead inside as they had already ordered. The same staff who yelled at her started going on about there are rules about capacity. My wife explained that she has no issues with the rules and restrictions and understands but that it's confusing for customers. Another staff joined in and raised her voice. My wife asked both staff to not raise their voices. I understand and support the restrictions around capacity but the staff didn't need to be so rude. Due to this experience, we are reconsidering returning. read more

A great addition to the neighbourhood! The subs here are tasty and good quality, served warm. Available in 8 or 12 inch size. A little pricey. Smaller subs are about $9 or 10. The staff is friendly. Decor is neat, and they play fun retro music. Mostly 80s from my few visits. Look forward to trying all the sub varieties. It takes a bit for them to make your sub so not the best choice if you are in a super rush. read more

As I have noted in reviews for other locations of this sandwich chain, they are simply the best subs you can get! Try the Hook&Ladder, the signature sub- it is excellent. All their sandwiches are great. I am so happy Firehouse has moved into Canada & am happy this Guelph location has finally opened. I heard way back in August 2016, that they were opening here & have been waiting for the grand opening. read more

Best sub I have ever eaten in the house. However for the first time today I had a takeout order what a disappointment the fillings was about an inch and a half from the ends of the bun and tasted nowhere as good as the ones that I have eaten in the venue. the condiments were also sparse. hope that is just a fluke because I have gone there many times and have eaten in with no regrets. read more

Was really disappointed! Went in to get some subs for dinner and we had specific instructions to not add sauces and onions and peppers onto the steak and cheese ! Nothing is more disappointing then having the order repeated back to us and us mentioning it twice to get all the way home to have all the items we ask to not have on our sandwiches on it! Triple check your orders before leaving. Nothing like wasting money and not being able to eat it. read more

First of all best subs ever, but the delivery service they provide with just eat and skip the dishes is brutal. Not even joking every order I have placed has always left out an item. Last night I placed an order with just eat at 9 PM and called the store arrive at 9:45 to see where my order was and all the guy told me, very rudely, that the order didn't come up and it wasn't here and that they were closing soon and I said that my order was already paid and he said to call just to eat. So I called just eat and basically just asked for my refund because obviously I wasn't getting any food that night and the guy was super nice to me and called back fire house to see what the deal was. The only problem was that the driver was stuck in traffic, so the employee that dealt with me obviously didn't even attempt to help by just looking. Love these subs. I'm not sure how they do it but it's hands down the best sub I've ever had. Friendly staff, quick service, tasty food, and good tunes. I've been so many times now it's almost embarrassing... I'm afraid the staff are starting to recognize me. But the subs are THAT good. Fav sub is the turkey bacon ranch but the steamer and the hero are also winners. Pretty sure you can't go wrong with any of them though. And be sure to get a cookie or brownie ...omg yum. read more
