This is a new restaurant to the area and I tried it on opening night. I have to say, the Hook and Ladder Sub didn't disappoint, the ham was sweet and cooked to perfection and the turkey was very tender and moist. I got my sub hot, as I would recommend with this place, as most of the subs are designed to be hot. I rated a 4/5 based on a couple of factors, although it was opening night, I felt as if the service was slower than it should have been, also when I got home and ate my sub, the meat was all over the box, almost like it had just been thrown into the box without any care. Also some of the employees were speaking Spanish while making food and when I was trying to get their attention, they just kept on talking with each other. Overall it's a great place to eat at with good quality subs, that will make you want more. read more

This place is terrific. The place was packed and it took about 10 minutes to get our food which I thought was great, given the circumstances. The employees were all super friendly. And the food. Thw sub melted in my mouth. I got the Engineer and was soo not disappointed. It was a little pricy but if they donate to our local firehouses, it makes it worth it. I did not enjoy this experience and won't be coming back. I had a lot of trouble reading the menu, the options weren't anything special. I got the hook and ladder sub, which tasted okay-the few bites I ate- bit the meat was just a pile in the middle of the sub, with a nice long brown hair was woven all through the middle. I can tolerate squishy bread and a poorly constructed sandwich, but the hair was gross. I understand that's a unique issue that probably isn't a standard example, but high standards should be important when you are competing in a town of dozens of sub shops. This sub place is a cut above all the other pathetic sub places like Subway. I have been here a couple of times, and I love how they use high quality ingredients. The food tastes like it was made at home rather than an assembly line. I highly recommend this place, and I very rarely endorse places to eat. read more

Great subs. Dirty, unkept location. Saturday afternoon and four employees working. Drink station sticky and covered with drink residue. Floors had food debris and straw wrappers everywhere. A little bit of house keeping needed. read more

First time eating here, and we will absolutely be back! I got the club on a sub on white ordered it cold and subbed Italian dressing for the mustard with a cup of chili, hubby got the New York Steamer on wheat with the Mac Cheese, and our 9 year old got the No Meat Salad it Italian dressing and everything was AMAZING. Our son ate the end of his salad with a spoon to make sure he got every bite. Prices weren't bad at all for amount of food we got and the entire staff was super friendly chatting with us while we were in line, and checking on us every time they brought someone else's order out. Got the Italian sub it was delicious. Service was great the staff was so friendly. They are about 25 miles from my home but would drive that far for a sub. The sandwich was not all bun lots of meat just the right amount of lettuce. Loved it. read more

Ordered off of DoorDash. My son's $9 sub was supposed to be meat and cheese only. It arrived slathered in mayo. DoorDash was only willing to refund my card $2.70. I called the restaurant. The manager, Madison, went above and beyond!! She was sweet, polite, and professional. Made my son a new sub and even threw in a cookie for him since we came back out to get it. I absolutely love eating at Firehouse Subs! I come here at least twice a week and it feels like every time I go there the food keeps getting better and better. The atmosphere and the staff are so welcoming, I will definitely continue eating at Firehouse Subs as often as I can! Twice now I've been to the Firehouse place in Boardman Ohio. I was at one time a good customer. I went about two weeks ago and walked out. I ordered a sub. It was just about ready and I told them I wants to use my points. ( I have over 10,000 ). They said I had to use my phone. I had no internet connection. They said that's the only way I could use points. It didn't use to be that way. First time I was told that. Was kinda annoyed. Then today I went in and one employee wasn't wearing a mask and was helping the cashier at the register. Do you employees not have to follow the rules! So I walked out again and probably won't be back. How do I get my rewards ? read more

Firehouse has never done me any wrong but I came in today with my father and we waited a bit of time to get our food and that's okay cause there were a few people inside waiting as well. But my food was made completely wrong and the women making the subs got another mans food wrong too. Then she called out my name for the order the second time around and then she came back out and took the food saying it was someone else's and not mine so I had to wait even longer. Just don't understand if she's new or not but this is ridiculous. She wasn't wearing gloves when she brought out the food either which i don't know if she does that all the time but because of COVID that's not right. read more

This was my first visit to Firehouse Subs. I was greeted by Jose, the manager, who came out from behind the counter, shook my hand and introduced himself. He took time to familiarize me with the different types of sandwiches they offer, the layout and how things work there. Very courteous service and nice serving size. I recall seeing a news story about a very large donation the restaurant made to the local fire department. Nice that they legitimately provide that local support to first responders. read more

Would NOT recommend this location. Workers were eating in the front while making subs and it was packed. Not one girl had their hair back their hair was loose and everywhere. It took 17 minutes for one small sub. $13 for a sub and a drink ... I minus well just go to a restaurant. People were rude and service was slow. I like why they stand for , but cleanliness and professionalism is failing at this location .... one thing fire fighters are taught and adapt. Poor service employees eating behind the counter no hair nets waited 20 minutes for 1sub

I had a small hook and later, mac and cheese, and drink. My husband had the medium MD club, mac and cheese and drink. Food was good but I think it was expensive for what we had. Our bill was $23.23. Went to another local restaurant the following day and had bigger meal and our bill was $23.00. Will not be back. read more
