I had already had another company come out and provide an estimate, but I ultimately decided to move forward with Steve for a future date. Steve provided me with a quote via text message and advised that he was booked until September 2026. We discussed and agreed upon a date, which I added to my calendar. As the date approached, I reached out to confirm the appointment. At that time, Steve informed us that he was actually on vacation. He apologized and explained that he typically does not schedule services this far in advance. He offered to reschedule and stated that he would also provide a contract. We agreed to reschedule. However, as we approached the new date, no contract had been provided. My husband again reached out to confirm that Steve would be available. We were then informed that the person who would be assisting Steve with the job was unavailable, and therefore the service could not be completed. Ultimately, this entire process was a significant waste of time. I would have appreciated being told upfront if Steve was unable to commit to the job. Instead, after nearly two months and multiple communications, we were left without the service and with very little time to find another company. I understand that circumstances can change, but timely and transparent communication is important, particularly when a customer has planned around a specific date. I would have preferred to work with a company that was upfront about its availability and able to follow through on its commitments. Based on my experience, I would recommend considering other options if you need a company that can provide a firm commitment and follow through on the agreed upon service date.

After much effort, we finally spoke with the owner and agreed: if the issue was on our end, we'd pay to fix it; if it was due to their work, they would handle it without further charge. That seemed fair--but unfortunately, it's been radio silence ever since. No follow-up, no resolution, no returned calls. We regret not reading the reviews beforehand. If you're considering Brownlee Septic, I strongly urge you to think twice. A professional business should at the very least return a phone call. The headache simply isn't worth it. I could write a novel on the issues but to hit the high points: - no supervision from the Project Manager (Eddie) on the job - the workers dug in the wrong place; did the wrong job that was asked - caught our well line with their back hoe and yanked out the line from the well (we are still trying to get this fixed properly) - didn't couple the pipes together properly and buried the pipe - twice! thank goodness we saw the leak through the dry dirt - they put in IRRIGATION LINES instead of SCHEDULE 40 for the work they did on our septic system - Lied about issues/damages done but we have security cameras so we had everything on video and could show the PM - Hit our fence with their equipment - never told us but since we have cameras we could see what happened - The Project Manager came to review the work and started to make repairs once - he NEVER came back. - The list goes on but the problems don't... even today my husband is out trying to still find and fix the leak(s) from their repair - We did have to have a different septic company come to do the original job than needed fixing. That got fixed but now we are just fixing the issues caused BY BISHOP-THEIM I know it's hard to find a good company to work on your septic systems but PLEASE look somewhere else. I know their website looks professional but they are not. I'm sure we could have escalated more through the ranks of the company but at a certain point, you just want to cut and run. I hope this post saves someone out there the headache this company has caused us.
