Been here a few times by myself as well as with a large group of coworkers. Lunch tends to be busy during midweek so plan accordingly. Parking is limited to their private lot so it may be a good idea to carpool. Service can be good and great as long as they aren't slammed. Had a few small issues when I came in with my work crew like wrong meats on salads and wrong drinks but their staff was quick to resolve the problem. Look for their daily specials... you can thank me later. I like both their sweet and original bbq sauces. There is just enough spice and sugar to add some flavor to their meat... I'm not saying they need it but I tend to get lost in the sauce if you catch my drift. Some people like their meat dry, some people like their meat saucy - whatever floats your boat. There are a few flat screens on showing sports as well as news. The bar is a good size and comfortable should you choose to grab an adult beverage. I noticed they have bingo on some nights to bring people in... I'll be back for sure cause I love me some bbq. Remember to tip well! read more

Stopped in with a coworker on Wednesday while doing business at Fallbrook Weapons Station. That's one of our favorite places due to the great barbecue that's available. They have regular daily lunch specials and occasional specials. Wednesday is pork rib lunch special, for ribs with french fries coleslaw. We opted for their special of a Memphis pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and an extra side. For my extra side I went with cowboy beans while my friend went with french fries. Note to self, for that particular special I should've got the coleslaw on the side like my friend did as his portion was much bigger. I thought the sandwich was terrific! Very happy I tried something a little different than the normal Wednesday rib special. Looking forward to our next visit! read more

AMAZING BBQ! The Brisket and Baby Back Ribs were Delicious. The meat fell off the bones and was Perfectly smoked. We couldn't believe they smoked the Brisket for 22 hours. Ordering was quick and easy. You order first then sit down with a flag and they drop off your food. I got the tri-tip sandwich which was pretty darn good. I got it with coleslaw which really added some more flavor. The Mac and cheese as a side was super good too! Seems like a great spot. Suggest everyone check this place out. read more

Um, this place isn't very good. Yes, I was shocked too, Pls note, I live in Orange County, perhaps this place is great for fall brook folk who don't know any better. Anyhow, we arrived there at roughly 230. Place was empty. Like out of the 20 tables they have, 1 was occupied. We ordered the half chicken and the 2 item combo (ribs and brisket). The ribs were pretty dry, and the brisket was super fatty. The chicken was also very fatty, pretty f-ing disgusting tasting too honestly. The fries and beans were fine. Service was fine The place was clean. I don't know, maybe they gave us the left overs from the lunch rush. Wont be returning. read more

Stopped by yesterday for lunch. Firehouse is open for outdoor dining with masks enforced when you go inside to order. The menu is nicely simplified where you pick your protein and can choose a sandwich with one side or a plate with two sides. I went with the smoked chicken plate with spicy corn and fried okra and my partner went with pulled pork plus garlic mash and cowboy beans. I thought the smoked chicken was OK - a little dry and not really the texture I was looking for. Since I went at a weird time, it's possible it just wasn't that fresh. The spicy creamed corn was unusual and very creamy/saucy. I thought it was decent. The fried okra was very good. It had just been fried and was hot inside and crunchy/dry on the outside. The pulled pork was nothing short of phenomenal. Next time, that's what I'm ordering. The garlic mash tasted a bit bland in my opinion. The cowboy beans were unusual - almost like chili vs. baked beans. That was a pleasant surprise I think. Overall, very good and certainly worth more visits in the future. read more

The service for our food was great. The staff was friendly and attentive My friend and I both ordered the chicken sandwich which was dry from being overcooked but the sauce they had helped with the dryness. The garlic fries were a bit too much of the salt which I probably should have told them to not put so much salt because of the sodium. The ambience was great except my friend was kind of annoyed with someone child watching something on their phone when he should of been sitting with his family which was a large group who were talking so loud and were sitting near our table outside, and apologize to my friend for their rudeness quietly. The two young ladies behind the counter were great coming out to make sure our food was to our liking. Corn bread was ok had corn kernels in it I wanted a solid piece of bread no filler or a johnny cake. The fella's I went with were unhappy with the BBQ cause of the Fat so I got a couple of extra portions cause I do not like to waste food! So I filled up on the meat. The beer tap was under maintenance so I did not get to taste their house brews. service was very good the lady who took the order was very polite and patient helping us decide also letting us know what the locals favorites were. The decor was up to date clean and welcoming and they had clean restrooms a very clean spot to stop and eat. I was very pleased with my experience but my friends were not very impressed.
