We stayed in the Mountain View Queen that even though the bathroom is not inside the room itself, we still had a private bath right next door. With only one other room on that floor, we rarely ran into the other guests, until breakfast. Breakfast started with a yogurt parfait, followed by French Toast and bacon with delicious local Morse Farm syrup that I loved so much, I went to pick up some to bring home. After just one night, I already felt at home that before leaving, I checked out the other two options and fell in love with the Mountain View King for next time.

The room itself is very warm, even with the heat off. However, there an air conditioner in the room that does the trick to cool it off. It's a little odd to have to run the AC when it's 25°F out, but I think the building just runs warm. And thoughtful by the owners. The Continental breakfast is quite standard. But it works. There is a sun room for all guests to share. I was in between 4 and 5 stars here, but 5 it is! It's convenient to downtown Montpelier; everything is within walking distance. It's 15 minutes from Waterbury, 25 minutes to downtown Stowe, and 30 minutes to Stowe Mountain / Mount Mansfield. I will be staying here again.
