Beginners Luck is just that kind of place. Food 4.5/5 - I ordered the Crab and Shrimp Roll with fries. It was excellent and quite a portion. More than enough for a second meal. Loaded with shrimp and crab. I wasn't expecting a crab and shrimp salad but rather a mix of the two warm and buttered in the roll but it was very tasty as served. The only part that was a little off was the burned in brand on the roll the cold salad was served in. The charred flavor with the salad was a little off putting. I just pinched off the burnt bits from the bread. Excellent fries! Service 4/5 - I sat at the bar. Bartender was nice, offered regular menu and restaurant week menu as well. Meal was brought by manager, fries were still piping hot. Bartender and manager checked back to make sure meal was to my liking. Ambiance 5/5 - Cute place. A lot of nice outdoor seating and seating inside but a bit less. All in all a great place with a nice complement of offerings! I will return. If only they had a fly through with rotisserie chicken to go, I would never think of Bandera again.

We were seated inside quickly - it was a slow afternoon. Signs on the door let you know they have A/C however they left the front door propped open so it wasn't that cool inside. We each had a cocktail and they were pretty good - him a Painkiller on Main (he said it was good) and I had Ranch Water Paloma but asked them to mix tequila and mezcal rather than have me choose one over the other. Quite tasty! We just did apps: Fondue Blanc served with linguisa, pretzel bread and roasted cauliflower. The fondue was especially delicious with the cauliflower. We also had pimento cheese served with potato chips and chicharrones. I've only ever tasted grocery store made pimento cheese and was not a fan but when I tasted the pimento cheese at Beginner's Luck, I instantly became enamored. Totally enjoyed it with the chips. I recommend stopping in for a bite when wandering Old Town.

Chelsea's Kitchen is one of those places that really captures what makes dining in Arizona so…read moreenjoyable. The outdoor patio is beautiful, with string lights, a brick fireplace, and surrounding trees that create a warm, inviting atmosphere. It's a fantastic setting for dinner, especially when the weather is nice. We had quite the spread, including the Chicken Nachitos, Green Chile Cornbread, LGO Short Rib Tacos, Ribeye Tacos, and Green Chile Burger. The nachitos were piled high with chicken, melted cheese, guacamole, fresh pico de gallo, and jalapeños. Although they're no longer listed on the current menu, I wanted to include them because they were part of our experience. I actually appreciate how Chelsea's Kitchen changes its menu over time, giving guests something different to look forward to while keeping some familiar favorites. The Green Chile Burger was another standout in presentation, featuring roasted green chiles and melted cheddar, with macaroni and cheese on the side. The short ribs and grilled ribeye came with colorful accompaniments, including guacamole, pico de gallo, and a kale salad. The Green Chile Cornbread was also beautifully presented in a small skillet with a golden crust and butter on the side. We also tried the Brussels Sprout Salad with manchego, almonds, dried fruit, and bacon, which offered a nice contrast to the heartier dishes. The cocktails were thoughtfully presented, and we finished the evening with key lime pie and a refreshing sorbet. Beyond the food, the patio is what makes Chelsea's Kitchen particularly memorable. Between the fireplace, warm lighting, and lively but comfortable atmosphere, it's the kind of place where you can easily spend an entire evening catching up with friends or family. The service here is always amazing and feels like a concierge level service. Overall, Chelsea's Kitchen offers a wonderful combination of Southwestern-inspired dishes, generous portions, and a beautiful outdoor dining experience. I especially appreciate a restaurant that continues evolving its menu rather than keeping everything the same year after year. Definitely a place worth revisiting to see what's new!

My friends said they wished it was sweeter though. - Chelsea's Cheeseburger ($22): I wish the burger had more flavor. We got it with the fresh sourdough English muffin, and the staff kept hyping it up, but I didn't think it was anything special. The fries were AMAZING, so perfectly seasoned and crispy. - Prime Ribeye Steak Taco ($36): BYO tacos, comes with a lot of meat. 4 tortillas, but they asked if if we wanted them to bring more! Wish the steak had more flavor. But liked the rest the additions. - The soup of the day was a tomato and bell pepper type of soup. They gave us a little shot of to try! A little amuse-bouche! We feel the Old Town location's food, service and prices are superior to the previous DC Ranch location. We came in on a Wednesday night. We arrived and were sat immediately. Shawn our server was very friendly and pleasant. We were never left waiting for service. The menu is pretty vast with many GF and V options. For starters, we ordered the KOREAN FRIED CAULIFLOWER $21 Radish sprouts, rainbow quinoa, snap peas, toasted sesame seeds, korean hot pepper sauce. Wish it was a little more crispy but full of flavor. We also ordered the PEAR + GORGONZOLA FLATBREAD $22. Vintage white cheddar, crisp fried sage, sage pesto. This is a thin crust pizza. The flavors worked well together. For dinner, I ordered the MARKET STREET SHORT RIB MINI TACOS $24 off the starter menus. Cojita, caramelized onions, cilantro crema, micro greens, spicy roasted corn and avocado salsa and black bean salsa. I was surprised at how much meat was in this taco. Super tasty. Well worth the price. My husband ordered the SHORT RIB ENCHILADAS $29. Ancho pasilla sauce, manchego, served with napa cabbage slaw, topped with avocado + cilantro. He said these were delicious.
