Clinton doesn't have as many people as Cryan's did that night. Incredible. So we put our party down to a 40-minute wait. Time went on, a few people left, a few drinks happened, and finally the rest of us got a table together. Minus for service - the waitstaff was not very friendly to our group; granted, we were forced to stand due to lack of seating, but they didn't give us any helpful tips or any sympathy. Drinks were just "are you ready?" and then handed out. Food experience went a little bit better. The food itself was fine, mostly because none of us ordered pizza. It's bar pies here - super-thin crust, comes out crispy, which may be your thing but it's not mine. The onion rings look fantastic - huge, but with a lot of breading, and I didn't have enough of an appetite to down that by myself. I ended up on the Baslick Burger, ordered rare, and it actually came out pleasantly close to rare. Other people's came out to their order as well (medium and well, one with a subbed side). Nothing spectacular, but nothing bad. Same for the fries. All in all? It was an experience. But not one to walk into blind. Maybe if I was local I'd go on a low-volume night, otherwise I'll stick to some less crowded vibes.

The spritzer flight was delicious, my favorite of the four was the Aperol Spritz (a little sweeter and less bitter than other places) and the Raspberry Spritz. The Hugo was very refreshing and Limoncello was unfortunately not my favorite, but the other three made up for it and then some! The cheese curds were crunchy and came with a delicious ranch sauce for dipping, and the big pretzel was huge, salty and doughy- the cheese sauce was good with it but we also tried the honey mustard my son got with his chicken fingers and liked that combo even more! For my lunch I had a burger off the day's specials menu, it was the "A1 Burger" which was cooked perfectly and made better by the A1 inspired aioli, Gouda cheese, etc. The fries were good and crispy. I will be going to Harper's Table again for sure!
