This company and its employees take customer service to a new level of excellence by cultivating a good working relationship that will exist beyond the installation of the roof. Jim Phelps, our Moss Roofing Consultant, did the initial roof inspection for hailstorm damage. Then, he advocated for us on our insurance claim, working on our behalf and in person during the insurance company's inspection, to get the claim filed super-fast. And just like that, we had our installation date set up for a few weeks later. Jim was so helpful and knowledgeable every step of the way. He went above and beyond to answer my detailed questions and to address any concerns I had. He stopped by the house more than once to show us shingle samples, show us what algae does to roofs and explain different parts of the installation process. On installation day, the Moss Roofing crew started at 6 am to prep our windows and yard with protective materials and seamlessly worked until dark to install an impeccable new roof. They cleaned up everything perfectly, including using a magnet sweeper on our yard and our neighbor's yard to dispose of hidden nails. Jim came back the next day to check the attic and do a thorough walkthrough of the premises to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. He also came by when the inspector came out to point out the issues he had seen. This was great service, and I appreciated that. Install day came, and they started working on the roof at 6AM in the morning (even though we were told work would not begin until 7 or 8). Obviously this woke everyone in the house up. The project manager came by about halfway through the job, and was there for only for about an hour and then left and was never seen again. This made communication very difficult. At the end of the day, the work crew left a lot of trash everywhere including a lot of nails on my driveway. But the roof looked fine overall. The reason for the 3 stars were a few issues, aside from what was written above: 1. They damaged and dented my gutters. James called a handyman to try and get it fixed, but they only made it worse because that was not their expertise. 2. They had installed one of the roof stacks incorrectly, and I had to call to get it corrected. 3. We had agreed to a certain price, and they backtracked on that a bit when it came time for payment. It wasn't much, but obviously was disappointing to deal with. Overall, there were some ups and some downs with the experience.

He initially quoted about $1,600 but reduced it to $600 after giving me a verbal two-year warranty, which was never provided in writing or honored. After the work was completed, he said he would send the invoice and warranty, but despite six weeks of repeated follow-ups, I only received a basic invoice with no warranty information. He also offered a referral credit of $250 for small jobs and $750 to $1,000 for full replacements. I referred someone who received a full roof replacement, but I did not receive any referral payment or acknowledgment. If you consider their referral program, I recommend getting all terms documented in writing. Communication was inconsistent. When he needed the job or payment, he responded immediately, even on weekends and late at night. After payment was made, he became difficult to reach and often did not respond for days. After I posted an honest review, the situation escalated. He called me multiple times at work and raised his voice during the call. When I asked about the unpaid referral, he became defensive. Later that night, around 10:15 p.m., he asked to "come talk," which led me to believe he was coming to address the unresolved leak or the referral payment. When he arrived, he raised his voice, used inappropriate language, and refused to leave my property until asked several times. He continued raising his voice as he walked away. The next morning, I began receiving calls and texts from strangers responding to a "free cinder blocks" Craigslist listing that included my phone number. This listing appeared shortly after he left my home. My personal information was also used to sign me up for unwanted services on several websites, which caused significant disruptions to my workday. Following this, I received text messages from another number containing aggressive and threatening language, including: * "Wait till I'm done with you." * "You have no idea what I'm capable of." * "You're too dumb to realize you're in danger." * "You won't have to wait long." * "That goes for your mother too." These messages referenced a senior citizen in my family, which made the situation especially concerning. Consumers have the right to post factual and honest reviews. Businesses may respond publicly, but they should not use a customer's personal information, appear at their home uninvited late at night, or engage in behavior that may cause fear or distress. These actions fall far outside normal business practices. This has been one of the most stressful service experiences I have encountered. I did not receive the written warranty, I did not receive the referral payment, and the situation escalated in a way I did not expect. I strongly recommend getting multiple estimates, verifying terms in writing, and carefully selecting a reputable roofing company. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Superior Roofing Specialists. I want to make it explicitly clear that I do not want Superior Roofing Specialists (Christopher Luviano) or anyone associated with this business near my family or my property under any circumstances. Anastacio came out the first week of the new year and was very professional and knowledgeable. We needed some flashing replaced that was really never installed correctly. Anastacio was determined to make sure the work was done correctly. We waited after a heavy rain to ensure there were no more leaks on the ceiling before writing this review. I'm happy to say after a full month and a heavy rain the ceiling is dry. I would recommend this company and will reach out to them again for anymore roofing needs :)
