6 Wings, Side of Fries, Soda or Tea

We loved FOTM when we lived nearby. It was a must-visit when we recently came to town. This location was our favorite. There is plenty of seating, it's clean, and family friendly. The food is great! The wings are our absolute favorite! We have yet to find a wing place to take its place. I love being able to buy fresh jars of sauce to take home. I appreciate that the kids meals come out ASAP! The service is mid. You order at the counter and are given a table number. Everything else is self service: drinks, to go containers, etc. It is hard to justify a tip when we are doing everything, besides bringing out the food, ourselves.

I've driven past fire on the mountain so many times and thought, I should stop here sometime. Yesterday I finally did. It was a really great experience for lunch even on a very hot day. The interior of the restaurant was really quite nice looking and very comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I loved the buffalo blue cheese chicken salad I got and the two different IPAs I had were also both excellent. We sat outside in the shade and had a great time. It's a very approachable spot that delivers the goods. Nothing overly fancy or trying too hard, but a solid experience. Glad I finally tried it!

The sweet potato fries could've been a little bit crispy, but overall pretty good. Wings were very good. It totaled about $40 and I had a discount because it was happy hour on the wings. It seemed a little pricey, but it was a place I would eat at

I would just like the preface that the wings...fantastic. However, the service not so great. We waited 15 minutes in line just for us to order and then the cashier says "are you sure you want your order? it'll be a 45 minute wait." ofc we said that's totally fine! in the back of my head i thought that's actually not fine but im too introverted so actually say what i was thinking. respect peoples time!!! pls tell me before i stand in line that it will take that long :(

First time here after having always heard about this place. Was in the area and passed them and had to give it a try. This is legit wings and fries for sure and a great blue cheese dressing too. Had the buffalo sauce medium and the Thai peanut on other half of wings. Oh... so good! I'll be back to try them again.

Came back for the 20 for $20 deal and was not disappointed! Buffalo and the sweet BBQ hit to perfection but had to try their flavor of the month, el guapo...they warned us about the heat but holy cow, that spice lingered for a minute. Super good, but spicy as all hell. Will be back for more wings

The day before we visited while in an Uber, we passed Fire on the Mountain and our driver recommended the wings. I had a memory of the name and realized I got to try their beer years ago at a brew fest and liked it so we made an effort to come back and were glad we did. After a long day of hiking and other breweries, Fire on the Mountain ended up being the last brewery visit of our trip together. Fire on the Mountain has a number of locations in the Portland area. What makes them special is the combination of house brewed beer and chicken wings. The restaurant is simple: order at the counter, grab a table, and they'll bring it to you. We sat at a cozy booth next to big windows and enjoyed the evening. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad with blue cheese; friends mostly had wings akin to our days in college from the local wing shop. Their sauces were flavorful, and the food messy, just like we like it. I was a little disappointed they didn't offer flight sizes of their beer - I guess the business model just works better for full pints to go with the chicken. I loved my single beer, an IPA. It was a fun place with lots of families. We enjoyed our time and food here - I look forward to another visit in the future.

Found this place by accident but don't regret it. The food was excellent - we had jerk wings a buffalo salad and buffalo sandwiches. Everything was great. The pizza looked good too. Large selection of craft beers!

Was testing this restaurants, for I keep reading reviews from people I know. For, my plan was to bring my group here for lunch, one day. We found a seat for two, and it was already filled, and noisy. But, we haven't been here before, and there was no sign that says: Please Wait to be Seated. So, we just helped ourselves to a seat. We didn't know, we need to order FIRST. We can not reserve seats, is what the staff told us, once they saw us go in & seat ourselves. We ordered a house salad, and picked Sesame Ginger Dressing. We both liked the flavor, and the salad was fresh, but the leaves were too long, and being the neat-freak eater we are, we couldn't find or wait for a staff to give us a knife, until we're 90% done. We also ordered 5 plain chicken tenders, but hubby was only able to eat 4. Took one home. The tenders came with 4 different dipping sauces. He liked 3 of them but not the medium buffalo sauce. Too hot of our taste! We also ordered Chicken Wrap with Mild Sauce. The first bite I had, was too hot, I was assuming, they only put it in the center of the wrap. Only then, I thought . . . this is not the place to bring picky-eaters, specially my grandchildren, who like me, hated anything spicy! The restroom was clean, but well worn (seen a lot of use). The servers were all very friendly. DYK: the best part of our meal was the FRIES! This is something everyone would agree on, and I asked the staff what's in the fries: Sugar & Salt! Whaaaat? Now you know! Negatives: Took too long for our food to arrive, but the restaurant was very busy, it was Saturday. Not for groups! They don't take reservations!

The wings were pretty small in size and flavor was just ok. Kind of pricey for what you get.

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

They are definitely allowed at the outside picnic tables on the North side of the restaurant. That area is covered. Not sure about the back patio with the fireplace.

The sauce they use with the chicken and rice is great and is worth buying to take home to make your own dishes better. There is a good amount of seating both inside and out. I also tried the pork which was good but I prefer the chicken so will stick to that on a future visit. I have tried a lot of places that do the same thai style chicken and rice and it's almost always a miss for me, something is always off, usually the chicken is touch, or too dry, or lacking flavor but here it just hits right.

Pork and rice are pretty tasty and I would recommend you getting it if you like pork. Pork and rice set also provides some veggies which added variety and flavors. We also got mango sticky rice. But you have to serve your own water/tea, chili sauce etc. But this is expected. You can enjoy a little bit of the street food vibe here. Overall, the cost is pretty reasonable if you want a quick bite and if you don't need many food options or if you want to try out this experience.

He already knew what he wanted, Chicken Wings, and I already knew what I wanted, Bulgogi! He also ordered Onion rings. His chicken wings were like: that big! I've not seen chicken wings as big as legs. He had Honey mustard with his wings. I've not seen him devoured all of that, in one day, you could tell he was starting to slow down by the last leg. My bowl was perfectly seasoned, and I really enjoyed all the meat cut into my bite-size! We will definitely be coming back.

Walked in and was pretty surprised there was no one around. (Head-scratch) OK, I'll try them anyways. No one at the counter either. I checked out the menu board and just waited, np. Out comes, possibly the owner or cook, whom was helpful about the types of wings and sauces but that was about it with the interaction. I guess helpful enough, even thought I've never been here. So I went with the 12-piece Bone-in Wing Combo (@ $29.49), which also comes with fries and coleslaw. The sauces I chose were the galbi and hot honey mustard as recommended. At first, I wasn't sure which wings were which, meaning they both almost looked the same. But obviously the hot honey mustard was lighter in color versus the galbi. The wings were crispy and excellent, but a tad bit over saucy. I wish I had more crisp on the outside. Maybe I'll ask for sauce on the side next time. Also, the big box of Crinkle Fries were decent, but I thought the coleslaw for some reason was very peppery. I didn't understand why. I guess that's their style of slaw, idk. Overall, I really wanted to love this joint, but I feel that it's just a 3-star kind of place imho. It's the price versus taste versus how hot it was outside. Unfortunately, the place didn't have any a/c on and the tables didn't look as clean as the other older posted pics on yelp. Someday, I'll be back to hopefully upgrade my review, but for now, it is what it is.
