The worker was so friendly, welcoming, and the whole experience felt very authentic. I was really hoping we'd be able to find this food truck again this year, and I was so happy to see it was still there. My fiancé ordered the al pastor burrito, and I got two mulitas. Everything was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality and care put into the food. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by. We'll absolutely be back every time we can!

Came here when it was super hot, and all we wanted was food and chill back in the a/c of my aunt's timeshare. After waiting soooo long at the nearest grocery store for food, I knew this night was going to be bad, especially with the experience at the grocery store. So I told my husband I needed to find another place to revive the night, and like I've said before, when you need help, YOU YELP! Upon checking out Mexican food spots, Tacos Los Olivarez was one of the businesses that were on the search results, and what drew me to it was the number of reviews, stars, and how the place looked. At first, I thought it was a little hole in a wall, but when my maps told me I arrived at my destination, I was a bit confused because it was an abandoned car dealership with a small taco truck right at the corner. What makes this place extraordinary and makes me want to come back whenever I'm in town is the fact that, despite the location, the business is run from a small truck with 6 tables, and the best customer service I've had in a while! The gentlemen in front of the car were greeting customers as if they were in a restaurant, which I've never encountered until today. The business felt very welcoming and on top the food was way better than the markets inside the grocery store! Definitely recommend this place!

*Uncle D & Auntie V are Legit*…read more I take my BBQ & Brisket very seriously...and I'm thrilled Uncle D does too. So happy to stumble upon this lovely lively couple serving up their incredible BBQ food at the Palm Springs Art Museum commemorating & celebrating Juneteenth. Uncle D & Auntie V were so sweet & kind, they take their craft very seriously, and appreciate their customers. I had one of the BEST BBQ Brisket Sandwich's ever. And I've eaten & sampled my fair share. When I expressed I'm from LA and would drive all the way to Compton for the OG Bludso's BBQ & Brisket and Ribs with my BF, Auntie V's face lit up and says "I know it very well...and Darly is from Compton." When I told Uncle D, he expressed he knows Kevin Bludso personally...so I already knew I was in for a major brisket treat. After devouring my Sando in record time -- though I slowed down towards the end -- because I did not want it to end. I told my wife "I could eat 2 more of these." And speaking of which -- wifey's not too keen on BBQ like her hubby but can appreciate a great piece of quality meat. She took one bite (right smack in the middle -- which I suggested because it's the best bite :) and her response? "Oh my god...I could eat one of these." I've never heard her say that about BBQ Brisket. What makes Uncle D's Brisket so special? It's smoked & cooked overnight in a smoke-pit ~~ seasoned to perfection ~~ not fatty nor salty one bit...and don't get me started on the BBQ sauce that's not too thick & not too thin ~~ not too sweet & not too tangy ~~ it's simply perfection. And the bun too. This sandwich is so good you don't even need TEETH to enjoy because the mEAT is so soft & tender ~~ as perfect brisket should be. Following brisket consumption I went back to share my thoughts with D & V and when I said "not only is this one of the best I've ever had, it's better than Bludso's." D Looked me right in the eyes and softly said "really...seriously?" "Yes indeed" I said and he thanked me again. Then I told him "this section should be labeled: "The Art of Brisket" and D smiled at me so wide I can still see his happy face. Then we fist-bumped because he was wearing gloves but that Sando was so frickin' great I wanted to hug that cool bearded BBQ Master. Wifey had some of their Mac & Cheese and thought the noodles were cooked perfectly, it wasn't too cheesy & oily...and loved that it wasn't too salty. I took a bite and 2nd her notion. Checkout their website to find out where they'll be throughout the Coachella Valley. And make sure to confirm the location because their days & hours change during Summertime. Can't wait to find this hidden gem again...and next time I'm going to try their pulled pork and spare ribs too. And another Brisket sando or two :) {{{Big High Fives}}} {{{Fist-Bump & Hugs}}} Grandslam Huge Fan

I found Leo's Taco Shop on Yelp while craving some good tacos, but unfortunately, this experience…read moredid not match the star ratings at all. I love food trucks and think most of the time they have some of the best food. They were located in front of a convenient store which was easily accessible from the street. We spent a little over $40, and for that price, the portions were very underwhelming. The street mulitas came with no guacamole, a skimpy amount of cheese, and barely any meat onion and a little cilantro... come on now. See pic below. The tacos themselves were just meat, onions, and cilantro--super basic--but the biggest issue was the meat again. It had a smoky flavor, but it was dry. Nothing juicy about it at all. Honestly, if the mulitas at least had enough cheese, it might have helped mask the dryness, but nope. Between the dry meat and the stiff corn tortillas, it just wasn't hitting. The sauces did have good flavor, but if you're someone with a mild tolerance for spice, they may be a bit much--so that didn't really save the meal either. I ended up taking the food back and asking for guacamole and somehow he didn't understand English at this point. He gave me some in four small sauce containers, and when I pointed out the lack of cheese on the mulitas, he handed us shredded white cheese in foil to add ourselves (as shown in the photo). That alone says a lot. Overall, I wouldn't revisit, especially just passing through town. There's definitely room for improvement when it comes to quality and portion sizes for the price.
