Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I tried this location thinking it was going to be as good as the one on Brodie Ln and it was super disgusting. The chicken and shrimp tasted old and rancid. The picture shows all the fat from the chicken which was most of it! They had the option to make your own bowl but they added vegetables that I didn't even ordered and we're all stale and old. I hate to give someone a bad review but this place was just wrong. There have two vegetable choices, Thai and Chinese. The Chinese was just OK but the Thai was actively bad. In what world does someone put soy bean seeds (and a lot of them) in Thai food. There was also the tiniest pieces of mushroom imaginable in the mix with some unidentifiable other vegetables. I had the peanut sauce which was totally tasteless. It is not that hard to make peanut sauce. My partner had teriyaki. She thought it was on the other side of taste and was too strong. TL;DR: The managers at this location are either too busy to provide decent service, or they're downright liars. Not only was my food mediocre, but the service I received after Firebowl delivered our order incorrectly was appalling. We ordered delivery through Grubhub and the one positive thing I will say is that the order arrived very promptly. Unfortunately, my mom's order was missing over half the vegetables it should have had. It was essentially just plain noodles with broccoli. I called the restaurant hoping they could send another one out but was told my options were a) to be refunded or b) for them to remake it and us pick it up. Option B obviously wasn't going to fly--there's a reason we ordered delivery in the first place! I was told by the manager that she processed the refund. Five days later, didn't see it. Called again. Was told a manager would need to handle it so she took my number and promised a call back within 20 minutes. Never heard from them. So finally, today, I called again. Spoke to a manager who explained I would then have to call GrubHub because they processed the refund on their end. She even had the audacity to tell me she would text me a photo confirming they had done the refund on their side. Never got a text, and I waited a good six hours to call GrubHub. When I spoke to the agent, he said he didn't see a refund and he would have to call the restaurant to confirm. After a hold he came back on and told me that the restaurant had "forgotten" to process the refund but it was all settled now. How?! She verbally told me over the phone she had done it and even told me she'd send me the proof. No wonder I didn't get that text. Drove by the 183 and 620 location one day with the fam and decided to give it a try. I got the pad Thai and my wife and daughter got some sort of noodle bowl. I wanted to like it, as we were looking for a new place to add to our norm list, but definitely didn't. Really bad pad Thai, that's all I can say, and bland noodles that were swimming in way too much sauce. DELICIOUS VEGETARIAN OPTIONS! AMEN! Ordered a bowl, Thai veggies, peanut sauce, extra veggies to sub for no protein or tofu with brown rice to go. I ENJOYED IT! It was even better warmed up the next day. I was a little partial to the peanut sauce it needed something! It was borderline bland but still very yummy. The veggies however were cooked perfectly with that fresh crunch still there. I also like that you can make your own bowl or choose from the many other options on the menu. The place was spotless! Clean just shouts from the doors. The gentleman taking orders was patient & kind plus it didn't take long for the food to be ready. He walked it right over to me. At first I really liked this place, but as I ate it more I noticed how really not great it is. Went in tonight and Pad Thai was gross, no flavor, noodles were like extra super soggy. Also one of the employees had just gotten a tattoo and it was covered in aquaphor, but she wasn't covering it at all, it was so nasty. Grossed me out. At least cover that thing while working, especially with food handling. If she was at the front counter taking orders it'd be a different story, but she was the one running orders. read more

I eat here a lot as it is very close to my house and has a really interesting variety of Asian dishes from all over the menu map. I love the concept of eating Japanese miso soup before plowing into Pad Thai noodles and maybe topping it off with a Korean style hot wings. Variety is the spice of life. So, very generally speaking - this is good food with good portions and mostly fresh and tasty that is affordable. I say 'mostly' because it has been pretty hit or miss lately. Sadly. As others have said, maybe it is poor management? Poor training? Not sure, but the keyword here folks is consistency. Or lack thereof. I would say about 25% of my meals here have not been near as super fresh and delish as the other 75%. For this, I have taken off one star. But, it still gets a solid 4 stars from me otherwise, because as I said above I like the variety and it is not as greasy, salty or loaded up with MSG as some other Chinese/Asian places around. And again on a good day, you can get a fresh, filling and tasty meal for comparatively not a lot of $$$. As for service, maybe I have been lucky but the staff here were not rude or better/worse than the staff at any other similar type of establishment. Been there twice for curbside in the past 2 weeks. First time it was all good. The food was all fresh, hot, correctly prepared, and everything we needed was already in the bag. Second time was 1 star. When we got home we should have known there was trouble ahead because there wasn't utensils, fortune cookies, or soy sauce in the bag. When my wife opened her Sweet and Sour Chicken there was another problem -- NO SAUCE. Which led to the third problem because now she could actually see & taste the chicken for what it was -- just a lot of batter around sub-par chicken. Chicken Mac Nuggets are better. To make matters worse, a few hours later she got sick and was burping up that chicken taste all night. Clearly there was something more wrong than just forgetting the sauce. We will not be going back. Getting orders wrong is one thing and happens. You will be severely disappointed in your order. I ordered sesame chicken, pot stickers, and lo mein. The sesame chicken is "batter-fried chicken and pineapple in a tangy sesame sauce." First, there is NO sauce. Like. None. It's just fried chicken and pineapple on a bed of rice, with sesame seeds thrown on top. The pot stickers, on of my favorite dishes ever, was subpar. Little filling, lots of dough that tasted like lasagna noodles. The amount of dipping sauce they give with the pot stickers is so little, it hardly filled the bottom of the ramekin. The lo mein, I got this for my son, added chicken to it. The lo mein was alright, the noodles were ridiculously sticky. More than normal sticky. It wasn't because the sauce, the noodles were just over cooked. They were complete mush. I've had some GREAT lo mein and this was not it. 6/26/18 GF wanted to try this new spot. I ordered the Orange chicken with Fried rice. It was good. 7/10 GF ordered "Stir Fry your way" with Coconut Curry & ToFu & Rice Vermicelli. It arrived with Great Flavor but sticky/dry. When asked, the staff was very accommodating and brought out 2 small cups of curry sauce which turned it into a delicious entree. ( Don't be disappointed, ask for some extra curry sauce, you'll be very pleased with the outcome) Overall - Ordering was easy , food arrived hot and fast, quality was Good. Have not been to Fire Bowl since the pandemic started, but we used to frequent this location about once a month. Always have enjoyed the food, but today it was extremely disappointing to see the ladies who take the food from the cooks and prepare it to go out not wearing gloves. All staff were wearing masks, and all the kitchen staff appeared to have on gloves, but the ladies putting the orders together don't? What sense does that make? Will likely not go back here again until things return to "normal". And honestly, when things are normal, anyone who is touching food should be wearing gloves. read more

I have been enjoying Arboretum location for over a decade. My family always gets Pad Thai every time. This location's Pad Thai is a bit different. The noodles are stir fried a bit longer, which makes it stickier and thicker. The meat is a bit over cooked. I've tried 3 times so far, and they have been consistent on the things above. I took a bite of the summer roll with tofu, and there was a long, thick strand hair inside the roll. Disgusting! That was the last pick up order that I got. We ordered consistently at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic but it didn't seem like they had it together. The tofu was cooked inconsistently. If it's a meat substitute, I expect it to be firm tofu not mush. Sometimes the outside was ok and looked normal, then when you bite, it's squishy. Sometimes we got just soggy, mushy tofu. Sometimes it was fine, like normal / the way it used to be. I feel disappointed at the lack of consistency with this place. I don't feel confident ordering online from here. Previously it was fine because I'd eat there. Or if it's for pickup I can wait and see a bit of the process as they cooked in there. OK, this place is fine for a chain and the food is consistent. It's clean, the staff is doing their job but nothing above and beyond. I like the ambience and the wide open windows, it's clean and simple. The reason why I took away a star is because I'm not sure why these "order at the counter" places have gratuity option at check out. The word tip is an acronym for "too insure proper service". I love that they turn the screen around and make you feel like a douche bag when you choose no tip. If you want to make tips go work at a full-service restaurant. It's not the staffs fault but I feel like it's greed for the owner not paying his employees enough money and add that to make themselves feel better. Walked in & the place was nice, clean & well organized. there was a lot to choose from & I got the "stir fry your way" which was the BEST idea!!! I have nothing but good things to say about this place so far. We have ordered them for catering for our team, and they did a great job handling 20-30 people in an order. So, if you need to do a big group order thing, they're great at it. As for myself, it's my go to destination when I need a fast and also fairly healthy dinner. Stir fry your way. Chicken. Brown rice. Schezuan sauce. Veggies. Extra veggies. You have a reasonably healthy and very filling dinner that may even be enough for two meals (or at least a meal and a snack). The cashiers have been nice, friendly, and super on top of their game and quick, ordering for pickup, it's always ready when it's supposed to be, and I have yet to witness an order snafu. Roommates and I decided to order take out, and settled on Firebowl because it was close by. In our order of crab ragoons they were not fully cooked, They did not put any meat in one of our entrees, and the "fried rice"was steamed rice with some sort of sauce on it. Not to mention the "fried rice" wasn't even fully covered in the sauce, there were still big chunks of white rice, and no veggies or egg. Then on my sesame chicken I asked for spice level 2 and there was only chili pepper flakes, no actual spice at all, I couldn't even taste the chili pepper or flakes. We called them and asked if there was any way they could refund part of the order due to all of this, they hung up on us. Horrible customer service and experience. Went to order online for my family of 4 and pickup my meal. After compiling my online order I review it and my final cost with tax is $35.69 but I notice they have tacked on a $4.99 service fee. I decided to print out my detailed list from my online order and call it in to keep from paying their stupid unnecessary $4.99 service fee and my final cost should have been $30.70. I call it in and they tell me my cost is $38.42. I don't really think about the cost discrepancy just figure it is a data entry error that I will fix when I go to pick up my meal. Go inside to pickup my meal and show the cashier the cost discrepancy between the print out from their website of my detailed list of my order and what they are asking for and she looks at me like--"OH WELL THIS IS WHAT IT COST". After several back and forths with the cashier it is painfully obvious she has no training in customer conflict resolution and the bottom line from her was- " I CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT--GO POUND SAND DUDE" ! After getting no where with her at this point she asks if I want her to call the manager -(who was not on site)- which I said yes. The manager didn't address the cost discrepancy and the only thing she could/would do is give me a 10% discount. After everything was said and done; 1. My online order was going to cost me $35.69 with a service fee. 2. They wanted to charge me $38.42 for the same meal that I called in. 3. I paid after much frustration $34.59 and the cashier as a parting gift gave me a "GO TO HELL" look and body language after paying. NOT COOL!! WO HOO!!! Clean enough restaurant, but the food left something to be desired. If you're going in trying to find a "healthy" option, be warned that the soups are on a bed of rice and there are noodles in the salad! I am pretty sure there was more rice in my bowl of coconut chicken soup than my husband's stir fry. I am on a low carb diet and had to strain the soup from the mass of rice. Okay so seriously I love your food, but WHY IS YOUR CASHIER SO MISERABLE? The manager and the other workers seemed upbeat and friendly, but the older woman at the register and delivering food this evening looked like she was serving gruel to orphans. It was clear that her attitude had nothing to do with us.. in fact, we were simple, we knew what we wanted, and we took up about 1 minute of her time, so it must just be her MO. Seriously, would it kill you to smile at people who are smiling at you? I've never heard a more bitter "...enjoy your night..." in my life.
