Had dinner here last night with my kids and their grandparents. The ambience inside is beautiful. The menu is farm to table, and they explain that to you when you're there, that's why it's so limited. The food we had tasted great, but the 3 stars are really for the way we were rushed out. The bill was over $500, and the minute we paid for it, we were expected to leave. I understand that space is limited, but you can't expect people to leave asap without saying goodbye to each other. This was the first time my kids had seen their grandparents, we live hours away. A few minutes after the bill was paid, there was no reason for the server to ask, "is something wrong with the table" and that we had to leave because people were waiting. Just plain rude. Also, the bread that was served with mortadella and burrata was not a focaccia. It was plain sandwich bread. Don't call it a focaccia. read more

This might be my favorite brunch spot in Rutherford now, such a gem of a place! I came here with my friend and her boyfriend and I loved how nice the staff were and the ambiance of the restaurant overall. The staff refilled water quite frequently and were attentive throughout the whole meal. I ordered the smoked salmon eggs benedict and it was a 10/10, loved the runny yolk and farm salad on the side. My friend ordered the surf and turf avocado toast and it looked delicious as well. Definitely will be returning soon, wondering if the brunch menu changes every season or is that just the dinner menu that changes? read more

He was very pleasant and also thorough with questions such as "any allergies" or "concerns with menu". The salmon Benedict dish was amazing. The yolk was runny to perfection. Tonight was my first time here, the ambiance was perfect. It's a very nice place to have delicious meal with the people you care about the most. It's a really nice spot for a date night it's not to big and it's not to small. It's perfect! The staff is pretty awesome well mannered, and highly attentive. Let's get to the food the Short Ribs melt in your mouth. I have never had Short Ribs cooked this good in my entire life. My mom said she has never had anything this good and she knows how to make short ribs but she said this place got her beat by far. My mom never raves about food but she couldn't stop talking about the short ribs. I had the pork chop that was also cooked to perfection it wasn't too lean, it had just the right amount of fat on it to bring out the natural flavors of the meat. I was very impressed with the main course. I would skip dessert next time I was a little disappointed. Kevin, our server, was very nice and very attentive. As for food, it was all delicious, but the shrimp gnocchi and the beet salad were top ranking dishes. They did a sensational makeover. The restaurant is stunning. They used reclaimed wood, mirrors,and fresh moss on the walls. All of the food is sourced from local farms when possible and is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant. We just returned home from a very, very disappointing dinner at Fiorentini. We were a party of 6 and it was our second time there for dinner. Our first experience in November was wonderful. That said, our dinner tonight was the complete opposite. Immediately upon being seated, we were told we had to exit in 1 1/2 hours. Not a very hospitable way to start. Everyone in our group had varying negative reviews of their meals. I'll only comment on mine: the kale salad was so, so overly salted it was inedible. My red snapper was bland and just ordinary. No better than you would get at any mediocre restaurant or diner. For dessert I orered the carrot cake. It was dry and tasted stale. Entenmann's is tastier. Really great new restaurant. Love the seasonal menu. Everything was very fresh. Went for brunch with a friend and really enjoyed our meal. The ambiance is phenomenal. Really beautiful inside and out. Was a bit disappointed that we had to wait about 15 minutes after our scheduled reservation to be seated, but stuff happens. Overall a great experience. Delicious farm to table Italian cuisine in a modern yet warm and friendly space in downtown Rutherford. This place is perfect for date night, couples night out, gatherings with friends or for business. Probably not the greatest for small children if they are not great eaters though. The service was very attentive without feeling like you are being rushed. We had two appetizers, two mains, cappuccinos and a dessert that we shared. Everything was top notch, extremely high quality, and the portions were perfect for us. Also, since we are very selective when we dine out now in our, ahem, 40s, I was not extremely parched in the middle of the night from too much salt in the dishes. The price for the two of us was not outrageous considering the quality of the dishes, variety of options, and service. It's also BYOB which is a plus for my husband who has a good variety of wines in his cellar and loves a BYOB with excellent food and service. WOW! First time last night and we were blown away. Potato Tortelloni w Lamb Ragu as the appetizer was delicious. We split two mains, Short Rib Agnolotti was AMAZING, the taste blew us away, and my wife is still wondering how they got the mushrooms so crispy! The 'NJ Wild Zatar Skate' was VERY different, more subtle and earthy, but also delicious. Dessert was Vegan Carrot Cake with chocolate and carrot leaves, it was delectable and like no other carrot cake I have ever had. Subtle and not overly sweet and the flavor of the chocolate (ice cream consistency) with the greens was a perfect flavor and texture medley. Our waiter Kevin was professional and attentive without being overly so... the actual dishes and serving pieces were also very cool. We chatted with the owners on the way out, lovely young couple; they created a beautiful, modern, and inviting space filled with natural wood and greenery, you can tell a lot of thought went into EVERY detail, and it all combined for an amazing culinary experience.
