WOW! First time last night and we were blown away. Potato Tortelloni w Lamb Ragu as the appetizer was delicious. We split two mains, Short Rib Agnolotti was AMAZING, the taste blew us away, and my wife is still wondering how they got the mushrooms so crispy! The 'NJ Wild Zatar Skate' was VERY different, more subtle and earthy, but also delicious. Dessert was Vegan Carrot Cake with chocolate and carrot leaves, it was delectable and like no other carrot cake I have ever had. Subtle and not overly sweet and the flavor of the chocolate (ice cream consistency) with the greens was a perfect flavor and texture medley. Our waiter Kevin was professional and attentive without being overly so... the actual dishes and serving pieces were also very cool. We chatted with the owners on the way out, lovely young couple; they created a beautiful, modern, and inviting space filled with natural wood and greenery, you can tell a lot of thought went into EVERY detail, and it all combined for an amazing culinary experience. We literally cannot wait to go back and try more of their creations! read more

Must start with the first call to make reservations. The woman on the line was incredibly accommodating even though they didn't have exactly the time we were looking to have dinner. We wound up being late, and although we called we did fear we weren't going to get seated, again the hostess was amazing , so accommodating and was able to get us a great table quickly. The resturant is elegantly decorated for Christmas and definitely puts you in the spirit....The waiter was a gem, so thoughtful in his suggestions, attentative but not over bearing...The food, was absolutely delicious, the menu changes for the season so we were lucky to be there a few weeks before a new change. The Burrata over pomadoro was so amazing , the truffle gnocchi incredible and the taggatelle was a star! We loved the lavender creme brulee! We can't wait to go go back and bring friends! We meet one of the owners a sweetheart who explained the concept , organic , fresh, sustainable. This restaurant is a true find! EXCELLENT! read more

Delicious farm to table Italian cuisine in a modern yet warm and friendly space in downtown Rutherford. This place is perfect for date night, couples night out, gatherings with friends or for business. Probably not the greatest for small children if they are not great eaters though. The service was very attentive without feeling like you are being rushed. We had two appetizers, two mains, cappuccinos and a dessert that we shared. Everything was top notch, extremely high quality, and the portions were perfect for us. Also, since we are very selective when we dine out now in our, ahem, 40s, I was not extremely parched in the middle of the night from too much salt in the dishes. The price for the two of us was not outrageous considering the quality of the dishes, variety of options, and service. It's also BYOB which is a plus for my husband who has a good variety of wines in his cellar and loves a BYOB with excellent food and service. I can't wait to come back here again to try it in a different season. read more

Just finished our dinner. It was amazing. Super nice space, amazing staff, and the food was spectacular. Can't wait to come back.

My wife and I had a date night at Fiorentini recently and I was BLOWN AWAY by the incredibly delicious food, the impeccable service (thank you, Kevin!) and beautifully chic decor. I highly recommend this restaurant and am excited for my next dinner there! read more

Food was good but service and ambiance was stellar. Our waiter Kevin was outstanding. My bf's steak was not cooked med rare and he immediately took it back and had a new one out to us just minutes later. Would definitely return. read more

Went for dinner this evening and it was wonderful. The ambiance, the service and most importantly the food were all superb. It is obvious from the attention to detail how much the owners and staff care about this restaurant. I hope it does well here. We will certainly be going back read more

Fiorentini really is a find! Beautiful space, excellent service and the food! We had the delicious fresh artichoke salad. The Spinach ricotta gnudi were so good and tender, and the sweet pea fagottini--all homemade pastas on these! Entrees I got the wild caught Chilean sea bass: perfectly cooked fish, really great light pesto sauce, green beans, just loved it. Friend got the chicken breast which was also delectable, so tender, flavorful. For dessert we got the lemon tart--not too sweet with a great citrus punch. The affogato also was good. And a couple of cappuccinos. Definitely will add Fiorentini to the dinner rounds! read more

The food is Delicious! Servers were very attentive Restaurant is beautifully designed Highly recommend this place for food experience read more

I never leave reviews on Yelp but for this restaurant I have to!!! The ambience is great, and our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive! I love the decor of the restaurant. The gnocchi stuffed cacio e pepe was my favorite dish it's a must try when you go!!! The tortelloni with lamb Ragu and spare ribs were also delicious. I also like that's it's BYOB and you can bring your own wine. I definitely plan on going back. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys great Italian food! read more

Went for brunch and it was good. Cannot wait to return to try the dinner menu. It is a nice addition to downtown Rutherford

We were lucky enough to get a table here SUPER last minute for Sunday brunch. It was our first visit and definitely won't be out last. We had two toddlers in tow and despite this place looking very posh, they are kid friendly providing crayons and stickers. We ordered the short rib bruschetta, steak and eggs, and the pancakes. All were delicious but the pancakes were nothing like I've ever had. We also took two orders to go for my parents: the burger and a pasta dish. My parents enjoyed both but RAVED about the burger (that mind you, was consumed around 45 minutes after it was made, being that it was take out). Aside from the delicious food and great decor/ambience, their service is even more impressive. Hostess was super nice and Ronald and Kevin were outstanding - so friendly and attentive (but no overwhelmingly so) and kept picking up my toddlers toys from the ground. A++ all around. Definitely a place we'd come back to. read more

I never leave reviews, I've always thought that if I don't have anything good to say, to say nothing. But when something is so good you have to share it. I am Italian, an authentic Italian, born and raised. Not American/Italian, authentic Italian and that is what Fiorentini is an authentic Italian restaurant. If you have never been to Italy or if you think penne vodka and chicken alfredo are Italian, don't go there. You won't understand it, and it's not your fault. If you have been to Italy, you will know that where there is quality there is not much to add. Excellent service and ambiance as well. read more

Entree portions are appetizer size. Their homemade bread is boring and flat. Twice I have eaten their and the dipping oil had been rancid. Last time I was there and mention this to the maitre d' he took it away with a nod and didn't offer a replacement. The rear of the restaurant is akin to sitting in a dark tunnel. No I don't recommend. read more

I thought it was pretentious and overpriced. The menu was very limited and portions were small. Service was excellent however and decor was beautiful. Our bill was over $100 per person for two appetizers, two entrees and two desserts. Save yourself some money and go next door to Suprema where you can get excellent food with better portions in a great atmosphere at a reasonable price. read more

Excellent quality food! Service was also on par... That is until we were asked for our table. Less than 2 hours and done. Should have been notified when reserving. read more

Ambiance and decor is on point but my stars are for the food . The service is lacking. The food is overly salty and completely overpriced for what it is . 30 dollars for a potato dish is ridiculous . The menu is completely confusing where they but mussels but it's not actually a mussel dish, it just has a few mussels on top. They write steak but in actuality it is just a potato dish. Overall, nice decor, but overpriced for mediocre food and limited confusing menu. read more

Terrible service! Tried to get ahold of their events coordinators at least 20 times, never heard back! Very disappointing!

Chef Antonio and his wife Brenda are wonderful. We had brunch on Sunday and loved everything! They have created a sustainable, organic, non gmo true farm to table menu that is truly delicious! If you are close enough you should go and enjoy! read more

I'm giving this restaurant 4 stars because the space is beautiful and I want them to do well, but it was more of a 3 star experience for me. It feels like you're in NYC, which is both positive and negative. Positive is the lovely warm ambiance and stunning space. The food is artful. We didn't have anything that was great - but nothing was bad. Nothing comes with sides. They add cheese to some dishes and don't list that on the menu, just a heads up. I'm not a fan of goat cheese and my kale salad arrived with lots of it. I saw on the website they said due to covid, dinner reservations are limited to 2 hours - totally understandable. I took my sister for an early dinner Friday at 5:15pm (figured it would be emptiest then and we could catch up until 7:15pm)- but they kept quickly clearing our plates to turn the table and asked us to get up for the next reservation after 90 minutes right after our last bite of dessert. If you like to dine early, I'd pick another place if you want a more leisurely experience. read more

the dishes sounded good on the menu, but most were not warm and just ok ... it was even hard to get hot water for tea! wait staff was nice and pretty attentive read more

Visited Fiorentini last Saturday for a friend's birthday, and can't wait to go back. The ambiance is great, starting with the view of the kitchen through glass right when you walk in. We were seated quickly and our waiter had our wine open seconds later (it's a BYOB, and they happily provide glasses and bowls of ice for cocktails if you bring those as well). The farm-to-table menu is not lengthy, but it doesn't need to be. Between the 8 of us we tried much of the menu, and it was all fantastic. The house made pasta is a must - I tried the cacio e pepe gnocchi and the short rib agnolotti. Both were delicious, but the gnocchi were exceptional - one of the best dishes I've ever eaten, and that was table consensus as well. For my entree I had the red snapper at the recommendation of the waiter, and it was also great. Perfectly prepared, and very flavorful. I tried the short ribs as well, which were also quite good. For dessert I had the lava cake with whiskey soaked pear, which was good (though I'm not much of a dessert person). Overall, a must-try! We are already planning our return and have been raving about it to friends all weekend. You won't be disappointed (and seriously, order the gnocchi, and not to share). read more

What an EXTRAORDINARY place Fiorentini is. My husband and I went for a celebration dinner. I can't eat at most restaurants because I'm allergic to soy and the ingredients most restaurants use are just not high quality enough. Farm to table is one of the first places I look for a night out. And, at Fiorentini, everything they serve is made fresh from organic ingredients they just bought. They don't own a freezer! Our experience couldn't have been better. First, I want to mention that I emailed Fiorentini before I made the reservation. Brenda, the co-owner, ALWAYS replied. I can't tell you how many restaurants don't reply to emails/Facebook messages or even phone calls when it comes to food allergens. They had our table ready when we arrived. The service was delightful; attentive and unpretentious. Always there when we needed something but never hovering. But now the BEST part; THE FOOD! OMG the food. I'm in show business and my husband has worked for some very prestigious places so let me just say, we've been to plenty of restaurants that are well-known and extremely fine. But we both agreed that the food we had at Fiorentini was in the TOP FIVE RESTAURANT MEALS we've ever had. (We're in our 60s...)You hear them say on food shows how food 'surprised' their palate, well we were perpetually surprised at Fiorentini. More than surprised; stunned at how delicious every single bite was. The 21 vegetable soup was startlingly rich and delicious. The best we've ever had. The stuffed gnocchi with mussels was indescribably delicious. Simple yet SO complex you couldn't guess how it was made. For our entrees we chose the housemade potato tortellini with lamb ragu and the NJ Farm short ribs. Both were, again, more than excellent and very creatively paired. Portions were generous; even for my husband who always complains when presented with a skimpy plate. For dessert, Brenda suggested the panna cotta. Just exquisite. The cream paired with the orange gelee and the chocolate mousse was masterful. I'd also like to mention, that even though they don't use 'cheap' oil like soy or vegetable oil, they were still incredibly attentive to the fact that I had a sensitivity. The chef, Antonio, even took the time to come and say hello. He's not only incredibly skilled but he's humble, caring and charming. I see from some other reviewers that they're not happy with the lack of variety at Fiorentini. To them, I can only say, when there's this kind of amazing quality, you're not gonna get that. If you want variety, go to a diner. If you want an outstanding dining experience, run to Fiorentini. As a matter of fact, I told friends to come here to Rutherford from NYC because they HAVE to come to Fiorentini. I'm gonna be there a lot. read more

This place is top notch good ! There is quality in everything they make ! I came here for brunch with my husband and infant child. They were super accommodating with seating us at a table convenient for the stroller even though they were busy. The outdoor seating arrangement is beautiful as is the interior of the restaurant. You just don't see this kind of interior design in a restaurant very often this is like a restaurant you would see somewhere in Europe. The food was excellent and is totally average priced for the type of restaurant it is. It's an upscale dining experience with great prices and amazing food. I got an avocado toast with crab meat on it the salad it came with was so fresh. My husband got an omelette and the potatoes were very good it had a mixture of white and purple little potatoes I had never seen that in "home fries" before but I loved it ! The pancakes were delicious topped with fresh berries and the coffee was divine ! I also got the croissant and some sort of home made cake with berry jam spread and I was blown away. I just came for brunch but I will definitely be back for dinner ! read more

Wonderful food and atmosphere. Kitchen is immaculate and the chef seems to take great pride in his work. Will be back

We walked into this place last min right before closing and it wasn't planned at all but they accommodated us . The presentation/ decor of the restaurant was beautiful. Whoever decorated... 100% amazing !! Great ambiance. BYOB is always a plus . They were nice and service was good. The food was just ok .. menu was limited! We order the risotto carnaroli , pretty good . Octopus as an appetizer, really good !! Fagottini ... ehhh, wasn't bad but not my favorite. Lemon tart for dessert wasn't bad ! I will try again to give it another shot . read more

We lived this place and had a few wonderful meals. However we went one busy Saturday night where the service seemed flustered and the vegetarian entree I ordered was horrible. I am not a fussy eater but this dish had such a putrid sauce. My husband loved his food but he ordered more traditional dishes. Not sure I will ever return. So disappointing as it had been a wonderful experience at one time with the creative food and attentive service. read more

What a wonderful gem in downtown Rutherford. Excellent farm to table restaurant with a true Fiorentino chef. The gnocchi are mouth water delicious. We tried 3 appetizers and three main courses, all top quality and authentic Tuscan. Service wonderful and attentive. The decor is AD quality-sleek, hip and decorated gorgeous live plants. Local residents are truly blessed to have such culinary excellence at their doorstep. read more

We had a reservation at 6pm for one of my best friend's birthday dinner. We only get out twice a year on each or our birthdays, and we normally go to PAISANO'S in Rutherford, as they never disappoint!! This year we decided to try something different, and wished we would have stuck to our original plan, as we were literally asked to leave at 8:05 pm, right after we paid the bill and tipped. In all the years we've been going out for our birthdays, never did that ever happen! We arrived at 5:55 pm, and the hostess said she didn't have a reservation under my friend's name, but she could get us a table. We were seated in the back where there were 4 tables against the back wall. usually, we're used to more space than that, but you could literally hear the conversations right next to you. Well, for all the guys out there wanting a private conversation on your first date, I'd suggest you take them to Paisano's instead ;) Anyway, the "reservations" that were lost were for 6pm. It took the hostess about 5 minutes to "find" a table and we were seated by 6:05. Since I took pictures of the great presentation of food, (I will give the restaurant credit for that) we had our appetizers delivered at 6:28,. Our main course was delivered at 6:57, and dessert at 7:42. The check was brought to the table at 7:43, and while we were still sparring over it, the waiter came to collect. We told him we were not ready for the check yet, and he still never mentioned needing the table. I paid the tab with a generous tip, and within minutes he came back and collected the check and said he was very sorry but he'd need the table. I was absolutely mortified! We had just poured more wine and were looking forward to catching up. It was 8:05 pm! We bolted out the door and were forced to cut our night out short. If you're looking for a place to have dinner, catch up and hang out, this is definitely not your place. Next time, we are going to Paisano's! read more

Was seated under a speaker and I had to move. Since I moved closer to front door, I was cold very time the front door opened. Menu is limited and overly concentrated on carbs and cheese. I had stuffed gnocchi that came with mussels but the fish was overpowered by the pecorino cheese. The risotto was soupy and flavorless and the pasta with short ribs was overdone and sauce was too rich with cheese. Winter salad wasn't dressed enough and lettuce leaves came with the core of the head of lettuce attached and were tough. The only thing I truly enjoyed was the baccala montecato over polenta. I'm not surprised since that was the most authentic Italian dish I was served. The chef obviously knows how to cook but in my opinion is trying too hard and being overly creative. Menu needs more protein such as veal and chicken, should have more choices and it needs to be less focused on carbs and cheese. Not my style of food and I won't return. Hoping others enjoy it and place winds up being a huge success. read more
