I went in for my appointment for a deep tissue and it wasn't like I expected. I've received hundreds of massages due to my amazing bad back ha, but this one was different. She used mainly her elbows and forearms, and some stretching which I don't care for. When someone is using their elbows and putting all their weight on you this can cause damage, esp when you're 125lbs like me. Yes it hurt, and yes I should have spoken up but I felt odd. She had told me numerous times it was going to be the best massage I have ever received. By the end of the hour I was in so much pain, I honestly felt like something in my back had been damaged. For the next 2 weeks I couldn't sleep well, couldn't walk well, I was at the the point where I almost asked my Doctor if I needed an xray or MRI. I believe I actually did email my Doc asking if a deep tissue massage can cause damage to one's back or neck. I looked at my back a few days later and I was bruised. I was taking ibuprofen around the clock for 2 weeks along with icing and resting but nothing helped. I wasn't going to go back to Ginger and since she had already used the 2 massages I gave her that I paid for, I asked her to refund me for 1 of them. Our deal was I give her 2 massages and she gives me 2, but I wasn't going back to her. When reaching out to Ginger she told me she hadn't used my massages I gave her. Odd because the massage company where I bought them had just emailed me back saying she had in fact use both already. I showed Ginger the email and her story changed, saying she did use 1 of my massages I gave her. I asked her to please Venmo me for the other massage that she used that I paid for and she wouldn't. I am baffled by the lack of professionalism here and the fact that I was lied to by this woman and she is now refusing to give my money back. How does she feel it's okay to use 2 massages I bought, and I only used 1 from her and she shouldn't refund me for the other? Steer clear of her, this is not how you run a business and treat people. Luckily after 3 weeks my back was better, but I don't believe I will ever get another massage again, after all that pain she put me through I'm too fearful to ever get one again.

I called a few times during business hours and nobody answered the phone. They don't have a way for you to make an appointment online (I didn't need a consultation since it was a Brazilian and a pre-purchased Groupon so I didn't feel like I fit that criteria.) I finally was able to make an appointment and it was easy. Making the 2nd appointment was easier and I was able to make it after the 2nd call earlier in the day. On my first visit there was someone at the front desk, but on my 2nd visit nobody was at the desk and the aesthetician had to leave a session she was in to greet me. She was professional, but someone should've definitely been at the desk or there needs to be some type of program in place to ensure people are greeted when they arrive. Had I not had an appointment, I would've left. The space is calm and all of the staff were extremely friendly and inviting, but like many of the other reviews mention they are a bit pushy with their products. It didn't make me uncomfortable, but I can see how it would be a turnoff to many others. Although the space is calm it could use some updating, but overall it was clean. My biggest complaint though is the fact that they use wax strips and not the hardening wax for their waxes. I've been getting waxed for a while and greatly prefer the hardening wax to the strips. For one, the wax is much warmer much longer with the strips and that's a sensitive area already. Also, the strips I find to be a bit more painful than the hardening wax. It's hard to get all of the hair gone and be precise AND it's messy! The aestheticians that I had were both really precise and professional and did an overall good job. I would've been much more pleased though with the hardening wax. Overall, it wasn't a horrible experience, but I wouldn't return for a wax.
