Brandon in sales is a liar. I bought two vehicles. He told me a NANO coating was better than ceramic coating and quoted $1200. We agreed on $900 but they changed it to $995. I sent him a customer and when I asked about a referral fee he again lied and said he took it off the sales price. The customer trade had damage which they would repair and deduct it from the trade value. Now Brandon is trying to get the customers insurance to pay for the damages. Apparently they will try any trick to get more money out of you anyway they can. Not the type of place I woukd ever deal with purchasing a new car at again. read more

My Son paid $4000.00 for repairs just to get his car back worse than when it was dropped off. To secure his business a loaner was made available. This morning Nick Slatts said if we had the car towed in, they'd look at it. It was like pulling teeth to get them to do anything. Finally, they sent out a tech to check it out. He couldn't figure it out so they're having it towed at their expense as they should have in the first place. Another day wasted ...... Also, he didn't get a loaner. While they're trying to figure out what they did wrong to his only vehicle, my Son has to rely on the kindness of others to let him borrow their vehicle. Another victim of the service departments nonchalant attitude, some who has no relationship with Ford burning through fuel and racking up miles on their vehicle so my Son can get back and forth to work. I thought Ford was big enough to clean up their own mistakes and take care of the customer while doing so. read more

Brought my elderly parents to look at a new Explorer as they are shopping for a new car. The Explorers are parked at the top of the lot over 100 yards from the building. We started looking at the outside of them and a salesman walked up from the building which was nice. They liked a gunmetal grey model but could not really see inside. I asked him if he could get the keys and open this one so they could sit in it and check out the fitment. The salesman said to come down to the building and go from there. I said but the vehicle is here they want to see why would we go way down there? I asked again if he could just open this one so they could see it. Meanwhile it was 38 degrees and a little windy as my parents are standing there. He said again come down to the building and go from there. I got agitated and asked why he thinks I should have my 80 year old parents walk over 100 yards down to the building in the cold when we are standing at the vehicle they want to see??? He said "Well whatever, if they want to see this Explorer come down to the office and get the keys!" Waved his hand and walked away. Boy was I pissed! Took my parents over to Chevrolet where they came out and opened any cars they wanted to see. Done ranting for now. I'll remember that experience for a long, long time. read more

I had went in to get my glove box fixed on my car. It should have been an easy fix of a latch but instead they quoted me a price that was around 600 dollars. The information they gave me via email was different that the paperwork the provided me after. I did a drop off my car service and it took over two hours for them to deliver my car back to me. I can't even give this place 1 Star. Incompetent people in their service department with the same canned responses that have heard for over 25 years. My son brought his car in to get checked out. He works his butt off with a limited income and assumed that since he was having problems with the transmission on his newly purchased Ford Focus with an extended warranty that everything would be covered. Dianne Hooker stated that they told him that it would be $150.00, which they never did and then said it was on the paperwork that she asked him to sign, which I asked to have emailed to me but of course I have not received it. I asked the service manager Brad why they would not disclose that information and he stated that they did. Again, this is a lie, but when I confronted Dianne about it she stated "I guess its a he said she said." Very comforting words from someone that works in the "service" department. In Summary, don't take your car here unless you want to be charged for just walking in the door. My son walked out of there with an estimate of $3385.00 and had to pay $100.00 to find that out without anyone disclosing that to him prior. "It's on the paperwork" doesn't cut it. Looking at the reviews out here I am certainly not alone. I encourage anyone that has been ripped off by these people to write a review, and not just on here. I am going out to every online platform that I can to tell people about my experience. I encourage any of you that have had a similar experience to expose Finnin Ford for the rip off artist they are. Winnin with Finnin!! A joke! You're winnin a headache and bad customer service. How their service department still has people bringing their vehicles in is beyond me. I took my truck there for a recall mid September. I am not from Dubuque but was there for weeks on end helping family that was in a very serious accident. I thought I would quick get the recall done as it was close to their house. They started the recall and due to a part needing to be ordered, told me that It would be there the beginning of the next week. They let me take my truck without a speedometer working (along with a ton of other things not working) told me to use Waze (as it tells you your speed). When I asked for a loaner I was told they didn't have one... SIX weeks late, I still didn't receive one and the part just wasn't coming in. However, they asked me to bring my truck back on the (6th week) I did and magically the part could be here the next day. I asked for a vehicle from sales but was told no because I work and have meetings and couldn't leave my truck overnight. As a former service advisor, when it's warranty work, we provide the loaner, rental or a car from sales. So it was odd to me. Finally after dealing with Tyler's unprofessional attitude- I thought to myself.. I'm done with this joke of a business. Took my truck elsewhere and was provided a brand new truck to drive and less than a week for all the work to be done. This dealership and specifically their service department are less than stellar. I encourage anyone needing Ford service to look elsewhere. Beware! read more

We planned for over 2 years to get our next Ford Truck, my husband and I poured over vehicles, packages, colors. When we finally decided then my husband stopped by Finnin Ford to talk to them and see the different packages. He met Chris Cruz, well this guy did everything he could to help us with making our decision, then he set about to find us the truck we were looking for. He called a few days, maybe the next day to say hey I found your truck. That he did and made it happen for us! He never pressured us or tried to fit us into something other than what we wanted. Then we met Miss Dianne McCray to do all the paper work with, she was very pleasant, kind and funny or maybe we were funny and she just laughed along with us. Fix your website! I scheduled service for them to pick up my vehicle and they never came. I called them and asked why and they said it was marked as "drop-off" in their computer. Then they wanted to schedule me another week out. What a waste of time. read more

Took wife's 2017 Escape here to have the Auto Start feature fixed.Sat for 4 hours in their waiting area. I was told they had to "re-program" the computer and charged $300. Took it home thinking it was fixed. Nope... AND now the Remote Start doesn't work either. Called them immediately and took it back. Sat another 4 hours in their waiting area and told they couldn't find a fix and needed to contact Ford technical. After a week, we had to call them to remind them that we still hadn't been contacted (we think they forgot!). A day later they contacted us. Not willing to sit another 4 hours, Finnin came and got the Escape from my wife's work. They returned it later that day and said that Ford says the problem is that the 2017 battery was only "62%" good. Not sure that that was the actual fix, they needed to replace it with a $190 battery to rule it out. Losing any trust in Finnin, we had the battery tested at 2 different places (one being Batteries Plus) and both indicated that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the battery. I went back to Finnin and told them that I had the battery tested at two places (they weren't too happy) and I was willing to have a new battery put into the Escape, but if it didn't fix it I was NOT going to pay for it. After more than a week, we are still waiting for the Service Manager to call for his answer. Funny thing is... we don't have a garage and so the Escape sits outside. We just had record -28 degrees. Our "62%" battery started the Escape just fine. Anyone else think it's the battery or do you think Finnin Ford was going for another overpriced sell? It's become obvious that Finnin doesn't give a sh!t about fixing what they broke or the original Auto Start problem either. Time to cut our losses and be sure others don't fall for their piss pour service either! Apparently, the extended warranty doesn't cover any of this either! They were a complete FAIL! read more
