Today's visit started with a lengthy wait for drinks, which gave us plenty of time to admire the restaurant's impressive indoor climate control system set to "walk-in freezer." As we slowly lost feeling in our extremities, we waited for our food. And waited. And waited. The table next to us eventually gave up and asked for their food to go because it was taking so long. We thought, "Well, at least they'll get food." Plot twist: our food never came. On the bright side, if you're looking for a place to practice patience, intermittent fasting, and cold exposure therapy all at once, Plan B has you covered.

For fries that were delivered to my house from the restaurant They survived the trip well. The seafood combo was half a dozen large fried shrimp, and one large piece of fried white fish. The batter was light and perfectly done and very tasty on all of the fish. It came with coleslaw as well as tartar sauce, and the tartar sauce was very good. Overall, these three dishes were well prepared, delicious and worth the $56 for all 3.

Think a new menu, lower prices, a super simplified Happy Hour (Every menu item & drink is $3 OFF), Weekly Specials, a lunch menu, and special events Trivia Tuesdays, Game Night Thursdays, and Wine & Whiskey Wednesdays. Our server Josh was great, super friendly and helpful. With the Happy Hour discount, we bought 2 Mich Lights for $3 a pop, a BLT with chips for $13. And a chicken quesadilla for $13. Instead, the lights and sounds of what felt like Chuck E. Cheese on steroids smacked us squarely in the face. Between the beeping and buzzing of pinball machines and children running around having a wonderful time, we quite literally almost turned around and left. Thankfully, our server asked whether we would like to sit outside--and the moment we walked through that door, it became a completely different experience. The patio was charming, the summer evening was perfect, and the staff was reasonably attentive. Outside, the restaurant felt much more like the casual pizza, bar-food, and entrée concept we thought we had found online. Since "Winged" is in the name, we naturally came for the wings. If I were comparing them with wings from a serious tavern or wing joint, they would rank toward the bottom. Compared with typical pizza-shop wings, however, they were decidedly upper crust. They were cooked perfectly, the Buffalo sauce was excellent, and the barbecue sauce was flavorful without being overly sweet. Still, it was good overall. If we happened to be in the Simsbury area, we might return--provided we could sit outside. However, we would not make the drive from Canaan or Watertown specifically to visit it as a destination.
