The communication was super spotty, the place was dirty, when someone finally arrived and called us to try and find us (we had left after knocking and calling several times), the place smelled like someone had just done a nasty boo boo in the toilet (hopefully). Called to make an appt. They say come on in! I drive to the address they have on yelp. It's an empty building. I call back and say we moved! I'm like ok? What's the address? We across the street? I'm all where? There is only a gas station? On the park side which is not across the street but down a block I said ok the address? 14850 he proceeds to give me his old address. It saddens me to write most of this, but the people must know! First, the highlights: the middle-aged man who gave me a pedicure was incredible - comprehensive, attentive, and pleasant. He didn't speak much English but we made do with communication. The problems: first off, the manicure was sad - it was not comprehensive (lacking attention to cuticles, no standard lotion/massage, etc.) and the woman was harsh with my hands. The bigger issue overall with this place is that the pricing is not transparent. According to the posted menu, a mani-pedi is $40, which is what I was expecting to pay pre-tip. There was no option to upgrade either service so I thought that any additional niceties were included. At the end of the service, the manager informed me the cost was $60 due to the pedicure niceties I did not know cost additional money. Even then, she said it would be an additional $10 to the standard $30 pedicure, which would have amounted to $50 total ($40 for a mani-pedi + $10 for the pedicure niceties). However, she was not willing to dialogue about the miscommunication and overcharged me while being dismissive. These are hardworking folks and I wanted to enjoy this experience but just cannot excuse the above. Please be aware of this possibly occurring to you and clarify expectations before commencing your services there. read more

I came on a Friday morning. 5 minutes after they had open. Great service! Took no time to get me on a chair. Got a full manicure and pedicure. To have all the services with out acrylic nails and nail polish. My total was 70. Price is a little high. But worth it! Very nice people. read more

The woman did a nice job on my mani and pedi. The man is their problem in my opinion. He started my manicure, and hurt me 3 times within the first 5 minutes. It started off painful. The girl was great though. No complaints at all. They all (including the man) are very friendly. I'm from out of town, but will be back next time we stay. They don't deserve all the poor reviews. This is the worst place to get nail care. I got a mani/pedi and it took maybe 30 minutes for both. The attitude of the man and women working was bad - they didn't appear to care about the business or their jobs. The shape of my nails was awful. The price was not cheap in relation to the service and quality. Further more, she cut my toe and tried to ignore it as if it didn't happen. I had to insist she treat it and put antiseptic on it. I've been to this salon before, and never had it been this bad. I was not happy with the shape of the nails, the gel application was terrible, the design I asked for (a snowflake) was also terrible. I told the nail tech multiple times the polish had been bumped and got ruined on one nail and she replied with "oh no, I'll put gel on." And refused to fix it. Just got them done, and they look as if they need a fill as well. Rude, and unprofessional service. Will not be returning. read more

Called to see the price of a manicure and was told 25 but in the end was charged 30 without a reason. I've never had to bend my hands in front of a little fan for 10 mins but I did this time and my thumb touched a nail and nicked it but she didn't fix it. My thumb nail is completely cut sideways at the tip and the nails don't even go all the way up to my cuticles. More than one nail is crooked as well. Not worth 30. I'm also nervous about asking them to fix my thumb because she was very rude when I didn't understand half English so I could imagine their reaction to that. read more

I have been getting gel manicures that last a long time while my nails grow out. It could be cleaner and last time the massage chair didn't work, which is why I am taking off a couple stars. This was the absolute worst place ever, not only was the lady doing my nails rude she did the complete opposite of what I had asked for and when I told her that wasn't the color I wanted she raised her voice at me saying that she was doing me favor that the acrylic she was using was super expensive when I had specifically said that I didn't want it, I wanted a plain simple color and she did some crazy glitter sparkle color and it looks like a unicorn threw up on my nails, she also did not sanitize her tools or her work station and she had another customer right before me, I am just shocked because this was the worst of the worst experiences I've ever had. read more

This salon is dirty and the nails techs/owners are rude and impatient. Came in for a simple pedicure and all they tried to do was up-charge on services even though I said I didn't want it- numerous times. They were in such a rush to close early that day that they literally kicked me out without letting me dry my nails. I waited HOURS for them to dry and they still were wet come the morning. I went back and had them redo my nails for free since they screwed them up. I opted for gel and somehow they screwed that up as well. Terrible terrible manicure. Came in requesting a shellac manicure and after sitting down had to repeat myself over and over again. The owner (lady) soaked my fingers for about ten seconds in cold water and the proceeded to mess with my nails. She didn't clean up my skin, or trim my nails at all. Instead of filing my nails she used the drill file to rush thru, and then didn't rinse my hands before starting to polish them. She sucked at putting polish on and I currently have polish all over my fingers, but it's missing on parts of my nails. The polish itself is uneven and patchy. This salon has gotten horrible. The instruments aren't clean. They do sanitize the pedicure stations after every use. I sat there for nearly 40 minutes with my feet in water and I finally walked out. I went back to get my nails done and the wait was horrible, I had an appointment. She cut me with her fingernails and made me bleed. I'll not be going back needless to say. A mani/pedi is $35 so my mother and I went in expecting to get what we pay for. And I suppose that is what we got. We had called and made reservations ahead of time, yet when we went in, there was one manicurist and her husband. She was busy doing the nails of another patron, so the husband led both of us over to the pedicure chairs, then, after a soak, started working on my feet while My mother was left unattended. After about 45 minutes (of soaking and having my feet worked on), she leaned to me to let me know how long she had been sitting there, left to soak. She has a back injury and sitting for long periods can be challenging for her. Seeing her obvious discomfort, the man jumped up and got her massage chair working which made her feel much more comfortable. After the woman got done finishing the nails of the other patron, she rushed over and started doing my toenails. Then it seemed like they had both forgotten we were scheduled for manicures and rushed me over to a nail station. My toes looked great, but she had me walk across the room barefoot and there were acrylic nails on the floor under her work station. I had chosen a glitter polish and midway through my manicure, another costumer walked in. At that point, she seemed very rushed. She applied the polish unevenly and then pointed me to another station where there was a working fan and rushed over to do my mothers toes. Another customer walked in, stating she had a reservation for eyebrows and the woman seemed even more rushed. I think she was the only listened manicurist. Due to my uneven polish (extra polish at the tips of my nails), 2 nails got messed up while I was waiting for my mother. But before I could ask the woman to touch them up, she rushed off to help the woman with the reservation. Also to note- she gave my mother flip-flops when she was moved to the manicure station and she had her wash her hands after her hands were motioned up and he nails worked on, neither of wish were done for me. Upon leaving, the man checked us out at gave us the total of $80. The price they gave us before hand was $35/each for a total of $70 and if they had done extra for us, they never mentioned an additional cost. I think maybe the man gave us the wrong price? I gave him $80 (since that was what I was going to leave with rip anyway) and at that point we were in a hurry to leave since we had been there at that point for 2 hours. My mother's clear manicure started chipping and peeling off in sheets by the time she went to bed. I dont understand why they seemed so underprepared when 3 of the 5 people who were in the shop hat day had reservations. I think she was the only one who could do nails, but I think maybe the woman who was there when we got there was a walk-in, and maybe that is why there was only one person available for our pedicures, and with that just the soaking and buffing, when we got there. I also have some concerns about the cleanliness of the store and the tools. I know, I know, you get what you pay for but I also feel like we will be exploring the other nail shops in the area for mani/pedis in the future. read more

Don't make an appt. because it doesn't matter. They take whoever comes in no matter if you have an appt or not. I made two appts the day before. For manicures and pedicures at 10:30. We got there on time and 2 women were already there getting sculptured nails. There were only 2 people working, a man and a women. The women was doing the nails and the man took one of us for a pedi. The other had to sit in water in the chair the whole time, waiting for me to be done. We had a $5 more pedi which wasn't so yahoo-y or worth the more money. They guy barely did a massage and the hot rocks was about 30 seconds worth. He didn't do a great pedi either. Barely got the cuticles cut and wouldn't get hang nails. The manicure was rushed and a very mediocre job...because....we thought she was going to my friend after me but she took someone else who just came in to do sculptured nails. My friend just said for get it and they didn't seem to care. I guess that's how they make most of their money is on the sculpture. But still if you make an appt for something you should get it. I would not recommend this place. I will try someplace else next time. read more

Aside from the fact that they raised their voices at you when you asked them questions, SHE ENDED UP CUTTING MY FINGER...I have to completely redo my nails. The way they filed my nails is terrible I don't even know what shape you call this.Asked them to fix a small dent in my polish and instead they just painted over it and made it look worse. Disappointed... I have been wanting gel toes and heard it was pretty awesome. I asked them if they did gel and they said yes, but their gel was just "shiny" nailpolish. I thought gel was more like acrylic..? They charged me 45 for it...not worth the money. The pedicure was not very relaxing. Unfortunately I had a terrible experience. I paid $100 for 2 mani/pedi. I called in ahead of time, to see if there was time. There was 1 Lady in there with a horrible toe infection, the foot tub was not washed before she put her appointment lady in the foot tub. Another thing I realized he used the same cuticle clippers and filers that he used on me without them being sanitized on the next pedicure My toe was cut and still hurts. I have been soaking it in iodine because of how deep it was. It hasn't even been a week and my nails will speak for themselves. My fingers were dipped in Cold water yes dipped and the she started clipping my cuticles. My fingers also are very sore. I just don't want anyone else to get disappointed. I hope they clean up their act before they get someone angry and they call OSHA. My second mani/pedi was same result if not worse and it was her first time into a salon. So definitely a bummer for her experience but I've had great experiences before this was by far the worst. read more

This is by far one of the worst nail salons I have ever been to in Clearlake. They may have cheaper prices, but horrific customer service! Manicurist/owner disregards what you ask for.Manicurist refuse to clarify any misunderstanding and will ignore instead. They expect you to be satisfied with whatever they give you like their doing you a favor. The second you try to correct them,to get what you are paying for they will be very rude.The owner of this shop and the rest of the manicurist are grossly racist towards African American. I came to this shop for the second time with my 4 yr old daughter for a short new set on top of my natural nails and the older woman one of the main manicurist put no set on just acrylic on my nails.When I explain to her she messed up my nails , and that's not what I wanted she and the owner, the male manicurist older guy verbally attacked me . The guy tried to physically attack me and with a stick in the presence of my child!!! I had to call the police. I will never go near this place again. I hope this place is closed down for good. The cheap price is not worth the rudeness ,disrespect or abuse I encountered here. Definitely by far the worst I've ever experienced at a nail salon. Don't go to this place. These people are sneaky and will trick you to do more things to your nails but won't tell you anything until you go to pay at a register. A few of my friends decided to get a mani and pedi. We called ahead of time to ask how much. They told me that it cost 35 for both with a free design. All of us picked the design and was asked if we wanted all the fingers. We said yes. They didn't tell us if it will cost more to do that. When we went to the register the llady gave us an outrageous price. When we tried to explain the guy yelled at us so loud and so disrespectful. We went in hoping for a great experience but truly disappointed with the service that has been provided. We have the money to pay but you want to do business with people who are honest with you. These people are not honest. The only person that truly a great person provided great service would be Stephanie.
