At the end of May my husband contacted Robert of All Fence blah blah blah... on June 8th he, accompanied by his "contractor" came to collect our $3500 deposit for materials. It wasn't until later on when the contractor didn't show up that Robert informed Us that he was just the salesman, nothing more and it isn't his problem anymore after misrepresenting himself as the point person to contact. The contractor is no longer answering phone calls and the business licence number put on paperwork was bogus for Gonzalez Construction. It is now July 5th, We have no fence. I suggest anyone within their right mind not learn the expensive lesson we have, avoid this guy and his business associates at all costs.

Ignacio, who came for the site visit and identified himself as the owner, was very easy to communicate with both in person and over the phone. However, Jackie, (not clear to me if she's the co-owner or Ignacio's wife) finalizes pricing and pretty much runs the show. For our project, we had picked IVS to do the work, but the price kept increasing by thousands of dollars. I asked to speak with Ignacio since these changes were inconsistent with what I discussed with him and put them week above our other quotes, but Jackie said that's not necessary since she decides the pricing. They also charge tax on materials, which no other fencers do (since they're already paying tax to Home Depot, etc.). These business practices felt disingenuous to me and like bait and switch. I've had issues in the past with businesses like this that once the work begins they'll change order you again and ask for more money. So we did not use them. For this fence, we received multiple quotes. Two companies were in the $9-10K range and IVS was around $12K. All were licensed and bonded. We went with the lowest quote and are extremely happy with our fence.

We used their services about 2 years ago after we and our neighbor did an exhaustive search for fence installations. They were competitive with pricing, used grade A materials and the workers were the absolute best! They arrived on time each day and cleaned up after they left. They installed the fence for my backyard on both sides, along with a new door. They added post so that we could add solar caps and increased the height of the fence from 6 to 8 feet for added neighbor privacy. They took care of EVERYTHING PERFECTLY!!! They even came put a few weeks later just to check and see if all was well with the fence work. Our fence remains as gorgeous as it was when first installed and we have had absolutely no issues with craftsmanship, the fence or their work...at all! Our fence is still beautiful and has held up over the last two winter's "hurricane" like winds lol!!! I now want to install a privacy redwood trellis and have it attached to the top of the backyard brick wall and guess who just reached out to?!!!!! Yep, Straightline!!!!
