She gave the ribs a 10 and the brisket a respectable 8. Portions were huge and most of the brisket came home. Sweet potato fries were very good, extremely hot and fresh. The cheesesteak chicken sandwich was also rated a 10. Our fourth diner ordered the chicken salad, which was a huge salad based on a bed of romaine with lots of chicken, black beans, crispy onions, avocado, corn, and other stuff. Also rated a 10! And enough left for lunch tomorrow! Our server Alyssa was great. And the chef, Jesus, came out to see how everything was. Kudos to him and the restaurant. We are not locals, but my father in law is. The tater tots were crispy and freshly made. The time I went for breakfast (this past weekend), I ordered their breakfast burrito and some coffee. When ordering the burrito, you get a choice of what type of meat, potato, and cheese you want. I went with chorizo and tater tots. My waitress recommended pepper jack with that combo, so I went with that. The burrito did not disappoint. It was a good size and tasted amazing. Between both visits, the waitresses were very friendly and helpful. They have a lot of good options on the menu, so I asked for recommendations, which they happily gave. They were also incredibly patient when I was struggling to decide what to order, so thank you! I also like how the restaurant is aviation themed. There's model airplanes all over as well as pictures of all kinds of planes. The view of the airport is nice too! I'd say it's a good place to eat at whether you're flying or driving :)

The Valencia French toast was good but not very tangy or orange flavored unlike the description. The egg croissant was okay but the eggs looked like they were rubber. When I checked out, I asked for a blueberry muffin, bear claw, a blueberry danish and raspberry turnover. I assume it was the owner ringing me out because they seemed to act the owner but when they went to put the items in the bag, they had to excuse themselves to blow their nose. I am watching this all happen, but instead of washing his hands first, he reaches into the case with a parchment sheet hand no gloves to grab my blueberry muffin. Now why didn't I say no thank you after that, I didn't want to be rude. Maybe I should have, but either way I'm thinking that will be the last time I go here. We ordered everything listed on the Special-of-the-Day menu which included a grass-fed burger with brie and bacon and a blue-cheese and tomato bisque soup. We got an extra side of sweet potato fries. All portions were decently sized (see pic of burger/soup) and more than filled us up with the requisite protein and complex carbs to sustain us for an afternoon of wine tasting. Service was excellent and attentive. TIP: if you're splitting an entree they will charge $2 to cut it in half and merely bring an extra plate or they'll charge a whopping $5 extra to formally divide the meal and place them on two separate plates before bringing them out to the table. We opted to have neither done and simply shared all of our entrees and sides from the plates they came on (and were charged $0 :) Parking is ample but it's a dirt/gravel lot which can get muddy during monsoons. And they close AT 2pm!

The very friendly young lady server brought water and menus... but the menu was only one page and had a choice of one salad, three sandwiches and a burger. There was a special of the day ... a meatloaf sandwich that I ordered and it was quite good. I asked what happened to the huge menu we saw on line ... turns out they are now only open Saturdays from 11:30 until 2:30 and Friday evenings from 5 until 7 and that is by reservation. The dinner menu has a few more items listed and I will post the current menu. Very friendly, great service ... excellent food ... but very limited hours. This cafe could be really good but there is a tremendous lack of organization with it. They have a pretty impressive menu posted on the wall behind the counter but she told me right away that she didn't have a lot of the things on that menu available. There was a sign that said please ask me about my breakfast specials and when I did she said they had scrambled eggs - that's it - and after going back-and-forth with me trying again and again to get specifics of what could be added we eventually we're able to come up with a type of scramble with cheese and vegetables. She told me there were 2 orders ahead of me but for some reason it took about an hour to finally receive my food. That's unacceptable. When the food did finally arrive it was very good and the price was reasonable. I can see the potential here. She is a very nice person and I do understand she's running this cafe all by herself. It would really be a great idea to have someone help her out so the food could be prepared more quickly and organize a breakfast menu with a greater variety of options. I would gladly come back if they can fix the issues I mentioned.
