We had an awesome experience with Excellence when purchasing a car this week. I saw they had…read morelisted a 05 Subaru Outback, but didn't have pictures up yet, and figured I would pop by on a weekday to take a look. The car wasn't in stellar shape, but the price listed really reflected the condition, and the car did actually drive rather well, all things considered. They had just gotten it in on a trade, and it had not even been cleaned yet. The sales guy I spoke with on the first day, Aakash, was super nice, but wouldn't be available the next morning when I planned to come back with my husband, since it would be my husband's car. So, Aakash hooked me up with an appointment with Johnny C. for first thing the next morning. First, Excellence used the time after I left the day before to give the car a quick cleaning, which was much appreciated. Second, Johnny is a stellar saleman. He wasn't pushy, was friendly without being fake, and was up front about how the pricing would work. You see a lot of reviews on here mentioning the $2000 reconditioning fee, and although it is a regrettably high amount to charge, they really do the work on these cars. We were able to go back in the shop where they lifted the Subaru up on a lift so my husband could take a really good look at it (my husband used to be a car mechanic, which they were aware of, I don't think they would let most folks do this). While in the shop, we got a behind-the-scenes look at what their mechanics do to the cars they get in, and it is in depth and intense! They really do tear the cars down as much as needed in order to make sure everything is up to snuff. Still, always have a mechanic check out any used car you plan to purchase. Techs are humans, too, and sometimes they miss stuff. Because the Subaru hadn't been through this process yet, we were able to avoid the reconditioning fee, but the car was sold to us as-is instead. We paid the exact price listed online, the finance guy did not try to sell us on any extras once we told him we weren't interested, and the whole process was done in a couple of hours, from the time we came in to test drive to the time we walked out again. Johnny did keep the car for a few hours so they could at least give it a thorough cleaning for us, and then delivered the car to our apartment (we live all of about 2 miles from the dealership). I was SHOCKED at how clean they got the interior, and I am so thankful that Excellence saved us a few hundred bucks we would have had to spend on a good detail. See the before and after pictures, the passenger seat alone is shocking (the previous owner clearly had at least one dog that spent a LOT of time in the front of the vehicle). TL:DR: Excellence is good dealership, just be sure you know going in that there will likely be a reconditioning fee and always have a mechanic check out ANY used car you purchase at any dealership! Eyes wide open, this is a place we would buy from again.

an hour ago New I…read morerecently purchased a vehicle from this dealership, and the experience has been extremely disappointing. Before the sale, they assured me the car had gone through a full inspection and maintenance service, something they charged $2,499 for. This fee was supposed to cover new or serviced tires, brakes, fluids, and other major maintenance items. However, when I got home, I immediately noticed the tires had severe dry rot -- something that would have been obvious to anyone performing even a basic inspection. I brought the vehicle back to the dealership expecting them to take responsibility, but I was told "the owner doesn't care and isn't going to pay for new tires." This dealership completely misrepresented the condition of the vehicle and refused to honor the very maintenance they charged thousands of dollars for. Their lack of accountability and customer care is alarming. If you're considering buying here, do yourself a favor and stay far away. There are plenty of honest dealerships that stand behind what they sell, unfortunately, this one clearly does not.

Unfortunately Carmax cancelled the reservation three times. Each time I had to call to have the reservation reinstated. Today, my sister-in-law drive from OKC to Fort Worth to see the car. I drove from Sugar Land Texas. Before Arriving at Carmax, I telephoned to advise I would be paying cash by wire transfer from my bank. After arriving at Carmax at 11:30 am today, my sister-in-law did a test drive and was ready to conclude the purchase. After a one hour wait, we were advised Carmax would not release the car if we paid my wire transfer. At 2:00 pm I arranged for my bank in Houston to issue a cashier's check at their Fort Worth branch. We were advised the local branch would be closing at 3:00 pm today. We returned to Carmax at 2:30 pm and handed them the cashier's check. They spent the next 20 minutes trying validate the check drawn on Merrill Lynch! Finally at 3:51 pm we were allowed to take delivery of the car. Only a 4 hour wait. This was my third purchase from Carmax and unfortunately my last.

Instead, she asked us to take pictures of the car ourselves using the portal and send them for review. Why would I show up to this store to take pictures of my own car? The appraisal process is meant to be done in person for accuracy. This lazy lady and her manager are a total mess and a poor reflection on the company.

I purchased a car from this dealership in February, and the very next day the transmission failed…read more I immediately contacted Bobby, the salesperson I worked with, and the dealership agreed to repair the issue. They kept my car for over a month with very little to no communication. I constantly had to reach out just to get updates. Instead of communicating directly with the dealership, I was told to deal only with the mechanic that was chosen by the owner, Shawn. I found this unusual since I purchased the vehicle from the dealership, not the mechanic. To make matters worse, I didn't receive my title until the end of April. Every time I asked to speak with Shawn, I was given the runaround. I eventually found his contact information myself, but after I reached out, I was blocked. When I finally picked up my car, there were loose parts sitting in the trunk, and the odometer had only increased by 31 miles after my car had been in their possession for over a month. Based on everything they claimed had been repaired, that didn't make sense to me. I attempted to drive the car home, it still wasn't fixed, and new warning lights appeared on the dashboard. I had to turn around. When the mechanic was trying to show me how to "drive" it home, he had to floor the gas pedal and sometimes pumping it just so it can accelerate, which is the same issue I had before but it was worse. The mechanic told me this was "normal" and that I would be fine. After being without my car for over a month, I had little choice but to take it. It was obvious the job wasn't gonna be done correctly, so I towed my car home. The car has now been sitting since this so called repair. I recently had the vehicle inspected by another mechanic, who told me the transmission did not appear to have been replaced and that only the transmission fluid and filter had been changed. After trying to contact both the dealership and the mechanic again, my calls and messages went unanswered. Another concern was that when I picked up my vehicle, the mechanic did not provide an invoice detailing the work that had supposedly been performed. He said he had to create one. Overall, this was an extremely frustrating and unprofessional experience. I understand I bought the car as-is but my thing is if they had no intention of properly repairing my vehicle, they should not have promised to do so. I am now pursuing my legal options. I would not recommend doing business here. Save yourself the time, stress, and expense.

We called back and were told to drop it off, we didn't hear anything for about 2 weeks so we called them because he needed his car back and we were told his mechanics that were so "great" they couldn't identify the problem because "they couldn't replicate the sound". They give us the car back knowing it isn't fixed, the noise gets louder and I end up taking it to Dads Tool Box, who the owner Will ended up diagnosing the problem in literally less than a minute, which was that there was metal in my oil from underlying issues that I was sold the car with. Point being I wouldn't buy a car here and I definitely wouldn't have their mechanics inspect anything you're investing your money on.
