This was my first time at the Bandera Rd location. My usual Fincks cigar locations are off Broadway or the one off West Avenue. I will say that service has been fantastic at all the locations I've been to and this one was no different. The employees here were very helpful in recommending new cigars to try. The Fincks brand of cigars are really a great value, inexpensive but they taste pretty good. They do have a smoking lounge inside the store but I prefer to smoke outside, and that's okay. They have tables and chairs outside for people like me. There are a lot of cigar stores in San Antonio but you will be hard pressed to find one that makes you feel as comfortable as Fincks. If you enjoy cigars and good conversation, try Fincks cigars. It's definitely a no cigar snob zone. read more

I have been coming to Fink Cigars for over 2yrs now. I have to say each and every time their customer service is immaculate!! Their knowledge and their expertise is also amazingly great. You can give them a type of cigar that is your usual and If you want something new that is similar, they can point you in the right direction. NOW let's talk about the lounge area!! Always clean. Couches are comfortable and even the other gentlemen that may be there at times are always friendly. You can tell the regulars and it is a spot to just sit back and enjoy, if you're a cigar smoker. Note: you may want to bring a good whiskey or scotch. Break bread sort of to say with others. You will see the friendly environment. read more

Where do I even start ! this cigar shop is amazing, and if you love that fresh cigar smell, when you walk threw that front door it slaps you to cigarvana . The number one thing I love about this shop is when you walk in there , there is always someone to ask if you need help with anything, to be 100% honest they seem way more friendly and eengaged of what you're interested in , then the employees over at club humidor on hubner Rd. And if you have any questions for them ,go for it ! they will be honest . And if your a beginner and introducing your self to the world of cigars, this place will get you hooked, because the customer service is outstanding. They have a lounge in the left hand side as soon as you walk in from the front entrance, and a lounge in the back of the building across the humidor threw the door to your right. I have no idea what to look for when it comes to cigars. My cousins come here often, so I should have taken them with me to guide me in the right direction. However procrastination always gets the best of me, so I came solo to find the right gift. Mind you I was already running late to my brother-in-law's dinner, but I needed to stop here first. I can't show up empty handed. I knew he loved cigars, but I didn't know what kind he enjoyed. I'd seen him smoke dark ones, so I just went in with that one detail. I never realized the complexity of cigars before I walked into the shop. Lol The employee that was assisting me was super helpful. He was very patient with me and my vague description of what cigars my brother liked. He first asked how much I wanted to spent and then went from there. I trusted his opinion and selected a variety of cigars. I did get some cigars that they make themselves. I was very pleased with my selections. Right before I cashed out, they have boxes to choose from to put your cigars in. The box I chose was perfect. Once he saw the box, he already knew what was inside. I'm really glad he's not picky. He loved all the cigars I picked out and was excited to use them! If he could, he probably would've lit one at the restaurant. All-in-all I will be coming back for future gifts. read more

My buddy and I have been looking for a cigar lounge for some time now. I am not a smoker but wanted to try something a little different. Something older mature men enjoyed. We decided to settle on Fincks. I'm sure glad we did. The regulars in there were welcoming. They showed us amateur-aficionados (oxymoronic) the ropes and we soaked up the game with alacrity. The entire building is practically a humidor with a vast selection of cigars from all around the world. There are 2 lounge areas. One by the front entrance and one in the rear by the restroom. They have TVs in the lounge area as well as ice, cups, ashtrays, and a community selection of adult beverages. The amount of cigar choices was a bit overwhelming. I would have appreciated the employees being willing to assist in selecting a cigar. We looked like we didn't know what we wanted and as well expressed that we were first time visitors. It was a pleasure meeting some of the gentlemen from the Golden Leaf cigar club. We appreciate your hospitality. read more

I'm a pipe smoker who enjoys a quality tobacco when I find it. What it smells like does little to indicate taste. Making it no real use to sniff raw tobacco, but still the method used in selecting what you want. They have a reasonable pipe selection at competitive prices. Went in and found the man extremely rude. He seemed to be friendly to others. I guess we were strangers who he followed around making we didn't take a cheap cigar. They probably have cameras for that. We would love to have had more help about his inventory. We would have made a bigger purchase, but couldn't wait to get out of there. Also, a "tobacco shop" should smell delicious. The tobacco before it is lit smells so good. At this place, it appears they smoke in the cigar storage. Not pleasant. I'll drive further next time. I really liked this place. Despite quitting cigarettes, I was looking for a cigar to enjoy on a cold winter night (when it got down to the low 20s). Finck's was just the ticket - these guys have EVERYTHING here - machine rolled, handmade, house brand, name brands. The employees are super knowledgeable about tobacco, the cigar construction process, and more. They also refilled my Zippo for free, which was very courteous - back in California, they nickel and dime you for that stuff. This place is so amazing!! It's mind blowing the amount of cigars, pipes, and accessories they have in this place! I walked in knowing that I wanted to get into pipe smoking as my grandpa did and I had no idea where to start.... jimmy is the coolest! He walked me through everything I needed to know about getting started. When I walked in they greeted me and welcomed me to walk around the store and check everything out and when I had any questions they were quick to have a great answer for me. Really enjoy Finck Cigars. Wrapper removed you would t know the difference between their cigar and a pricier one. I'm a cigar a day guy, and have tried lots of cigars. Loved this place from the moment I called! We bought my husband a humidor (elsewhere) for his birthday. I called and explained that we needed an education, and part 2 of his gift was to pick out cigars. We went over and they explained and showed us everything and helped us pick out what he likes. We're considering renting a locker ($25 a month with $20 worth of free cigars? No brainer) and the smoking room with it's comfy chairs and wi-fi is worth the trip. The go to shop for cigars in the city. I hate when you go to a shop and you get followed like they don't trust you. Here you won't get that but if you need help you will get it. If you are new to cigars and don't have the answers, they will fill you head with cigar knowledge. I actually alternate between this shop and the one on West Ave because they both are awesome. Pretty much if you are looking for it, they have it.
