I have noticed that a lot of the staff has changed, and I think that mixed drinks are different than they used to be perhaps because of a bartender change. Overall, I think we'll still stop in, but it's not as frequent as we have in the past, but they're just aren't a lot of cigar bars around with as much space as Cigars International.

Inside the ambiance is a mix between a bougie lounge, an elevated pub, and a whiskey bar. The lighting is intimate, there is fun decor and furniture all around The staff were friendly and professional. They are more dressed up than your typical bartenders, and each drink is artisanal and made with care The menu offers a variety of drinks, but make no mistake, this is a whiskey bar, so, whiskey is the main draw. And there's whiskeys from all over. You can have a cocktail, neat, on the rocks, etc. You can find very rare whiskeys, top shelf, and more. This is an experience, so, I wouldn't expect inexpensive drinks, but it's not crazy prices Some tips: Ask your bartender about "Flight Club" (whiskey flights) They also have an impressive humidor, and if you want to enjoy a cigar you can, but you might have to sit on the covered patio outside Cheers!!

You got Ray, a passionate and proud father who actively keeps the humidor looking organized. You got Austin, a knowledgeable rep that is down to earth. In fact, he was the first person I ever met at the shop, and he is a true ambassador that would make any parent proud. And you got Malik and Jazzy, who help glue together the experience at this place by keeping the team they work with in good spirits. What more do you need to say, it starts with the people, but to top it off, they have an interesting selection of cigars. I have become a real fan of some of the lancero sizes I have gotten to try that most places don't carry. The place has a top notch ventilation system to that keeps it fresh and the indoor and outdoor lounge areas are truly a cool experience because of the amenities and great patrons that frequent it. The outdoor lounge in particular has a lot of seating with two massive TV's playing sports at all times! There is also great music in the evenings that's creates a vibe where people gather and have a great time. Did I mention that on Friday night, their outdoor food truck serves some yummy fish and chips! What can I say, this place is an experience and vibe like no other cigar lounge I have ever been to! Total gem. I almost don't want to write this review because I don't want it to get overcrowded, but they deserve the shine! If I could provide some feedback it would be about the indoor lounge chairs. I do wish the seats in the indoor lounge provided better back support, the seat cushioning is definitely past its prime, but other than that, they are nice and stylish leather couches and chairs!

I understand that local shops charge a premium -- and I'm genuinely happy to support local businesses -- but the difference in this case was extreme and hard to justify. I even included my receipt and a link to Xikar's official website for reference. I received no response whatsoever. No acknowledgment. No explanation. No attempt to make it right. I'll post pictures of the pricing for transparency. Buyer beware -- check prices before you pay.

Unforgettable! About 6 weeks ago, I sent an email to the Speakeasy Cigar Lounge in Lakeway to see…read moreif someone there might help me pull off a cool surprise for my man's birthday. I got the idea that Jason should have his own signature cocktail. I had the perfect name for it and a list of drinks he likes, but I'm no mixologist, so I needed help to pull this off. Sonya McKinney, the manager replied to my request saying she was all in. And boy was she! From her creative expertise, the "Liberty Risk" cocktail was born. Jason is a retired Navy fighter pilot with an ornery streak a mile wide. Whenever the aircraft carrier came into port, the crew was at liberty to enjoy time in town, unless of course, they'd done a mischief and found themselves on liberty risk, and thus restricted to the ship. Jason wasn't completely unfamiliar with liberty risk. "Liberty Risk" became the name of his boat, his most prized possession, making it also the perfect name for his signature cocktail. Sonya didn't just create an awesome cocktail, she hung a professionally made banner above the bar introducing the drink, wrote and laminated the backstory of the drink, and bought a special Navy veteran glass in which to present the drink, complete with real Navy wings that she attached to a golden cocktail skewer to garnish the drink! She also arranged for the musician who was playing that night to lead the whole bar in singing Happy Birthday to him. Thanks to Sonya, the whole experience was unparalleled and it's a special memory Jason and I will always cherish.
