If you're looking for a good cigar for a friend or yourself, Finks is a great place to start. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. No cigar snobs here. They have hundreds of cigars to choose from. You won't have any problem finding what you're looking for. Cigars, cutters, ashtrays, etc. If you have time to enjoy a cigar while you're here they have a cigar lounge inside the store, I don't recommend it, the ventilation isn't the best. They do however, have a nice covered patio on the side of the building that's perfect on a nice day. If you enjoy cigars, I think you're going to love Finks. read more

My boyfriend and I were in town for a concert, but wanted to go somewhere for a quick smoke and to relax. I looked up cigar lounges near our hotel and Finck came up. We were not disappointed. The humidor was huge and very nicely organized. The service was extremely friendly as well. We found sticks that we've been looking for along with a few new ones. They had a nice little smoke room with 10 chairs that were comfortable. I will say if we ever come back to San Antonio we will definitely be back to Finck Cigars! read more

Had the pleasure of visiting here after it being recommend by Dewayne Noel from YouTube channel, Dry Creek Wrangler School. I'm new to the world of Pipe and Cigar smoking and very much a novice. I was greeted by a nice fella named Jimmy and once I explained to him that I'm very new to this hobby, he shared his wealth of knowledge and experience to help me find the right tobaccos and cigars to try, I got to learn a lot from him about types of tobaccos and how to handle the quirks of a Zippo lighter. Didn't have the time to try the lounge but it looked comfy and well ventilated. This place has a huge walk in humidor too so it's great for the aficionado who wants a plethora of choice, from cheap to high end premium, I also note they had their own unique house blend cigars. I had a great time here and lament the fact that I don't have access to stores like this back home in the UK because I would be a regular here if I could. High praises from me. read more

I've been coming here for the last few months while exploring other cigar shops and I have really enjoyed my experience here! They have everything from their own personal brand of three dollar to five dollar cigars all the way up to name brand high-quality, high cost cigars! The staff is extremely nice, super knowledgeable and allow you to browse the store without being overbearing like at some shops. They even have a small clearance section with some namebrand clearance items, which can make for a fun Time to experiment with a new type of cigar while getting a few bucks off. Even though I don't smoke it's nice to have a place to buy cigars for the guys in my family. After being treated borderline condescending at another place, I checked around online and Finck's kept coming up as a more friendly shop. The man working the store was so helpful and informative. I didn't feel like I walked into a "men's only" club. He explained which cigars are popular and pointed me in the right direction of a particular brand. They also have a store brand that has hand rolled cigars from right here in SA. Technically Fincks has been making cigars since the 1880's, and one of the grandson's in carrying on the store. For cigars I'm fairly certain this is the best in the city. read more

Great Service!These guys always make me feel welcome and give me the space and time to select my cigar of the day,but always there to answer my questions pertaining to any cigar. Unlike Club Humidor which I do like them too but they follow me around giving me the impression like I am going to steal...on the flip side of the coin Club Humidor employees are very informative and service is just as good as Fincks but I just feel more connected with Fincks and comfortable and top of that I can shoot the shit with these guys (cashiers)and walk away laughing. I notice two types of people that go to Club Humidor and Fincks IMO I notice more of older,classy,business, retirees types for Club Humidor and Fincks has more of the working for a living types but everyone at Fincks are more sociable cause all the times I go to Fincks I always have strangers inviting me over to their posse to have a drink and of course a cigar! This is a great cigar store. I can not believe I just started going there. Almost the whole store is a humidor. They do not hover over your shoulder, but do not mind helping you at all. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff on cigars and pipes. They have a HUGE selection! From very expensive Padron 1926 to affordable Fincks house brands and everything in between. Cool smoking room inside complete with leather chairs, ottomans, chess boards, coffee maker, sink, and yes a restroom. A+ you owe it to yourself to stop by and relax with a nice cigar. read more

This is an awesome cigar shop. I've been to many before this one and have often felt out of place when I walk into a fancy cigar shop. Finck's is awesome. All are welcome and the staff is happy to suggest a cigar that you will love. All of the other patrons are friendly. Finck's Cigar Factory outlet is a fine store run by a local family that has been in the cigar business for a long time. Not only do they have the largest walk in humidor I have ever seen, they are very responsive to customer requests. Their own cigars are incredible, especially the Travis Club Family Blend. I love the large selection in their shops as well as the great customer service. The yearly Lone Star Cigar Bash fundraiser is not to be missed. read more

I love this place, it is right off 410, plenty parking and a huge humidor room. They have a good collection of national brand, as well as their own brands. I'm a Rocky Patel guy, but I was looking for their brand, within two minutes, I was helped by two employees, one of them introduced me to all their cigars types, but since I don't know much about Finck's, I decided to get the sample pack, 20 for about $45. The only one I tried up to now is 1837, mild to dark, very good and smooth smoke, I like it. I will be back here. read more

Unfriendly and unhelpful employees. I went in around 4 on a Saturday, as I entered I was the one that had to greet the staff. Walked around the store for about 5 minutes without help, made my picks and walked up to the register. There were two guys, one with tattoos watching the security cameras and the other with glasses who gave me no indication that he could complete my purchase he just stuck his hand out to take my cigars and scan them. No "thank you" or "would you like some matches?" just a "have a good one". If it wasn't for Finks Repulica de Honduras line I wouldn't be back. read more

I love this place! This by far the best cigar shop in San Antonio and the fact that it is locally owned and operated is an added bonus! They have the largest humidor I've ever seen with a great selection of cigars that are very reasonable prices. (much better than anyof the other places in town) The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and quick to answer questions or make suggestions. My only complaint is that the smoke lounge has no T.V. I've been smoking cigars for a while now and have been to many a cigar store around this beautiful country. I always had the same experience everywhere I went, which is to have the cigar Gestapo hovering over me asking if I needed "help." This would happen even if I was a regular and wearing a suit. Walking into Finck's was like walking into a neighborhood hangout only filled with piles of cigars. I immediately felt comfortable. The staff is great. They treat me like a human. Even better, they treat me like a human they like. The selection is outstanding and the prices beat every cigar store I've ever been to. They throw all sorts of parties and sales. I have been a customer for 3 years. Started with pipes and graduated to cigars a year later. I was treated like family from day one! Been to other cigar stores here in San Antonio but they either aren't as knowledgable, are unfriendly, and follow you around like you're going to steal something! The West Avenue lounge is a bit small, but I still love it because I've met some great folks there and I love the staff. Their prices are the best and the Finks brand are superb! I recommend the Finck's 1893. I also recommend renting a locker as they give you free cigars every month and they have free coffee! I will never go any place else and they do have a new outdoor patio as well and are open on Sundays now! read more

Living by a club humidor forever, I finally had a great experience. Pete helped me, very friendly and inviting. He let me browse the humidor without watching my every move. I didn't have that feeling that I wasn't welcome. In fact I am going to drive out of my way to go to Fincks. They may not have every boutique cigar out there, but in the last year, the selection has vastly improved. The prices are always reasonable, and the store brands ain't half bad. The smoking room gets REALLY smoky when more than a few people are in there, but the crowd is friendly and the employees are helpful without being pushy like many at Club Humidor. I went into this shop a complete novice. Wanted to buy my first pipe. The guys there helped me get my first long bent stem briar pipe and I love it. Later I visited a different shop to get a nice pipe lighter which are pricey. I bought it but turns out they messes up filling my butane. New years eve they closed before I could get there. I came back to fincks to ask for help. They tried fixing it. It failed and they replaced it with there's same type same brand. I will say again I got it from a different place and they just did a swap. Excellent service. I got my lighter and headed deeper inside to get new tobacco. :) read more
