They were professional and efficient, but the company they work for, "Reliable Movers," was a complete nightmare to deal with. Avoid them at all costs. First, they arrived earlier than requested. When I called dispatch to sort out the schedule mishap, the dispatcher completely escalated the situation. She refused to listen, threw a tantrum screaming "Don't scream on me!", hung up on me, and refused to take my calls. Instead, she sent unprofessional text messages about her feelings rather than actually assisting a paying customer. Worse, the original mover, Sean, showed an appalling lack of respect and communication. I explicitly asked him not to touch a box containing my father's ashes. He ignored me, picked up the urn, and tossed it into a box like a common vase. When I stepped in to take the urn into my own possession, Sean defensively snapped, "We can cancel this move," walked off the job, and drove home--leaving my belongings sitting in his truck in the middle of the street. This company is entirely disorganized. Every manager I spoke to had no clue who I was or what was happening. Furthermore, their pricing is incredibly predatory. They advertise as a full packing service but nickel-and-dime you for everything (charging extra for boxes and travel). Worst of all, they demand a ridiculous 10% surcharge if you pay via Zelle or Venmo. To put that in perspective: standard business transaction fees for these apps are only around 1.9% to 3.5%. By charging 10%, they are pocketing a massive markup as pure profit or using it as a bullying tactic to force cash payments. For example, on a $1,000 move, a legitimate business fee would be around $19, but they are forcing customers to pay $100. Management eventually sent Papona and Nurlan to rescue the job, and they did a wonderful job. However, two good employees cannot make up for a company that treats customers with utter disrespect and employs shady financial tactics. Save yourself the stress and avoid this company at all costs. Though I like Papona, I didn't appreciate him asking for a tip. He even asked for my number to follow up on the tip. Tips are courtesy not mandatory.

We selected A Budget Mover for my dad's downsizing move from his house of 50 years to an apartment…read morein a residential community and we're so glad we did.  The owner Mike and his son were so friendly, personable, and efficient, which made dad's transition easier on all of us.  I called a few places to get quotes and as soon as I spoke with Mike, I knew we had the right crew. Mike came by the house in advance to see what we had to move and to provide a quote. On the day of, they arrived right on time and provided the garment boxes and large bins for the extras, which were a big help, as they disassembled and packed up the furniture. My parents ran their own small business for 25 years, and we've always tried to support others in the community whenever possible.  Mike is a perfect example of what makes family-run businesses so special.  I highly recommend giving Mike a call for your next move!

I got one skilled mover and one that seems to have trouble figuring out how to move a dolly up and down a truck ramp. The communication with the phone coordinator was great for scheduling the week of. You have to make a deposit online, cash discount. My movers charged me correctly for the time, but it could've probably been done in an hour less with more efficient movers. Problem with the industry in itself is that movers are paid by the hour instead of the job itself. I do recommend this company, but these aren't the best movers I've used.
