My first catch with Dylan from Fin & Fire, Redmond OR
Bridget B.

My husband and I were planning our first trip to Bend, Oregon & wanted to learn how to fly fish. We signed up for the 1/2 day fly fishing trip on the Crooked River with a guide (Dylan from Fin & Fire) to show us how to fish & then take us to the hot spots. Dylan was THE BEST guide & teacher, it took him 20 minutes to show us how to cast successfully and then he manned the net to help us bring in fish. And bring them in we did!!! This was by far the most fun we have had on a recent vacation. All thanks to Dylan & Fin & Fire Bait Shop!!! I highly recommend signing up for the Fin & Fire 1/2 day fly fishing trip, we will do so again next time we visit!!!

I'd heard good things about this shop, so while I was in town I made a point to check it out. Aside from being the largest Simms gear dealer west of the Mississippi, they also carry a huge selection of Patagonia, Sitka, Korkers, Orvis and more cool hats than you could dream of. The guys were super helpful and friendly and guess what y'all?? They have 36 BEERS on tap! You can drink and shop then get a growler or Crowler to go. Which is exactly what I did, and a sweet rubber pint glass to drink it from. Check them out online at www.finandfire.com (online orders available), then follow them on social media @finandfire, last but not least...GO THERE! You won't regret it.

Amazing hospitality and expertise. They made it simple for us to get set up on the spur of the moment for a fly fishing evening.

They said it was over but the Ad says sales good till the 4th witch is confusing because the only sales are on the black Friday items. She could have explained that to me if she had the same brochure that I had. Not sure why you wouldn't have it since parts were still good till the end of that day. I left disappointed and confused after making a special trip before the 4th was over. After getting home and studying the brochure for another 5 min I realize that there are 2 sales on the black Friday sales one for Friday (clear) and one till the 4th (unclear) clever ad but but slightly confusing and made a wasted trip out on the cold. And I'm not surprised at all the other rude experiences and reviews. Just seemed a bit to excited to deny me the deal and not produce the same paper ad I was talking about so I could understand. We just want to understand. We already have to many reasons not to shop at stores tucked in the back of a carls jr. Parking lot. Incidently I'm not likely to go back ever.( Helpful comment). Put next to the second sale that's in small red print, hard to see (good till the 4th.) At a glance I didn't see the second sale I only saw the black Friday. So it didn't make sense but I assumed it must be the Friday sale extended till the 4th. Alot of us are ad glansers out here in the world. The end

The staff member was very patient while I tried on nearly every pair in the store and almost every pair available was on sale (it is noted that in the past, staff found a way to *make* my preferred pair on sale). This store appeared organized and sufficiently staffed for a busy summer day like today, and they offered a broad variety of outdoor/sports paraphernalia. Everyone I encountered was friendly, the birds were singing, and my deodorant was holding up well I walked out of the store happy with a new pair of Bolle sunglasses (on sale as usual!).

The person on the phone was very accommodating and patient. We let them know when we were planning on arriving, and they said they would make sure the store was open. Snowshoe rentals were only $15 each, and they included poles, goggles, and a balaclava. I believe the snow pants and snow boots were also only $15 each. The teal pants were SO cute. The person in the store was also very patient and helpful. There was a cute little hot cocoa station that included marshmallows, tea, Vitamin C, and apple cider packets. The only things missing were candy canes! But they made up for it with sweet treats (sugar cookies, fudge, and more). While we were there, we realized that we forgot our hand warmers. The person overheard us and gave us some for free!! What makes this place so convenient was that it was 6 minutes from our AirBnb in Sunriver AND they have a return box outside of the store if we get there after hours! I was also pleasantly surprised that we didn't have to return the rentals under the next morning at 9:00. Will definitely come back for more rental needs!
