Wonderful little yarn store -- I was so happy to find it nearby! Great selection of yarns, and their loyalty program makes it easy to rack up some savings. Lots of cascade, Rowan, Plymouth, blue sky fibers, and much much more. Always at least a few folks hanging out knitting in the store as well. Pictured are some extra yummy yarns I picked up at a recent trunk show during the Bay Area Yarn Crawl. They were kind enough to sell me the last of their tote bags, too, which they had set aside out back!

Very nice organized warm and welcoming would definitely come back! Lots of colors and variety!

Yarn I got during the Bay Area Yarn Crawl!

Absolutely love coming to this shop during my days off. The workers are always so welcoming and knowledgeable about their stuff. Recently splurged and got the Lykke crochet hooks and I adore them, lightweight and so nice to use. They always having something to look forward to on the racks right by the cashier desk and its nice to have a wide variety of yarns and materials to look through. Also have bought a bunch of other stuff from here like my current yarn winder, portable yarn holder, and my yarn swift and they've held up so well. Definitely recommend stopping by, I know I will be going back during my next day off!! (They also have a free membership so you basically save up a bunch of points and get discounts if you go as often as I do, just another cherry on top) :) Thank you to the staff and the welcoming community that surrounds this store, cannot be thankful enough to have a place like this in the bay area!!

I love this yarn store. The owner was friendly as well as the staff. They carry beautiful yarns from several brands I'm familiar with and new one to me.

Does Fillory Yarn offer hank winding (at cost)?

It took us some time to learn how to use the tufting guns properly and it felt like they were understaffed. It would've been nice to have more guidance throughout the process, like if we had any questions we had to wait a very long time for a staff member to be available to help. The seating for tufting is also very close together and it can get a little cramped. But as I mentioned earlier, we were very happy with our finished rugs. After we finished tufting, it took them about an hour to finish them off and we were able to take them home the same day. We also did decoden, which was fun! I was impressed by the charm collection, but it was very hard to find letter charms since they were all mixed up and scarce. Overall, the crafts turned out great, just disappointed by the service. I understand that it was a weekend evening and it wasn't the staff's fault, they were all very kind and understanding. Just understaffed! With tufting especially, having more staff available to help throughout the process if needed would make this experience much more enjoyable.

The customer then went out of her way to tell me that Megan was simply the best. My confidence and expectations were set high. But my project wasn't that glamorous. And my budget was limited. Megan gave me great advice on in-stock frames that would be suitable for what I wanted displayed. But the color she recommended wasn't in stock. I was under time pressure so she researched nearby stores that had the item. Shout out to the to the super helpful cashier in Cupertino who advised me to join the Michaels club to receive a needed (significant) coupon! But I returned to Saratoga to have my items professionally placed in the frame because, well, I was told Megan is the best. And guess what? She is! The work was perfect! Strongly recommend going to the Saratoga store & using Megan B for any professional framing!

This was my third attempt at picking it up, since the two previous framing attempts were unsatisfactory. We waited around the framing department with no one in sight, only to be told the employee was "on break." My friend asked for the restroom code and was told the bathrooms were closed at 5 PM--at a store that's still open. Not exactly customer-friendly. When someone finally showed up at framing and we opened my order, there was a black smudge on a robin's-egg-blue mat. I paid over $200 for professional framing, and once again the quality wasn't acceptable. This was the 3rd attempt at getting it framed. The first 3 attempts there were issues with the frame itself. At this point I asked to cancel and get a refund, but was told there was no manager on site and they needed permission. I left my information and asked to be contacted so I can get my refund and my item back. We went to check out, and two employees were standing at the register. One looked at us and immediately said she was on break and told us to use self-checkout. If one is behind the counter why couldn't she have helped, if you're standing at the counter, why can't you help a customer? If you're on a break why are you on the floor? As we walked off, talking about how the store had no manager present and no restroom access, one of the girls chimed in with a very rude, sarcastic "Yeah, happy holidays to you." At least the gal at the framing counter attempted to help us. This visit was unprofessional from start to finish. Once I get my refund for the framing, I won't be returning. I suggest others who wish to be treated with even glimmer of decent customer service go to any other location.

I finally got around to framing it and went to the Michaels location off Coleman. I was thinking that I could get a frame off their shelves, but I quickly realized that the poster had uncommon dimensions. I had no choice but to get a custom frame for it. I was assisted by a young gentleman, who was very friendly and helpful. I'm the worst when it comes to making decisions. I have to analyze every little thing, and then I get stuck in analysis paralysis. The associate was so patient with me, and he didn't rush me through the process. I also feel like he didn't limit me on variations of frame colors and matboard. He brought out everything to ensure that I had considered all my options. I relied heavily on his guidance and settled on an elegant thin silver frame with a blue mat. I called Michael's a week after the expected due date and was informed that it would be ready the following day. I was glad to see that the gentleman who helped me with my custom frame was the same person checking out my product. He carefully laid the framed print out, and I was stunned by how amazingly cohesive the frame and matting looked with the overall print. It was honestly perfect. This was my first custom frame job EVER - not just from Michael's. I was so pleased with their customer care and execution that I would not hesitate to go to Michaels Coleman custom framers!

They had heart shaped silicon molds for making cupcakes, stickers, gift bags and decor. They also had valentine hair accessories. I found a cute hair clip that I wanted to purchase. At the checkout you have the option for self checkout or checkout with an employee. There was a customer being helped at a register and two were checking out at the self checkout. An employee directed me to an available self checkout which worked out great. I was in and out of there within 15 minutes total. I really love that they offer self checkout. I remember in the past when you'd have to wait in a crazy long line with only two registers open. The self checkout eliminates this long wait. It makes the shopping experience so much better.
