I.was in the neighborhood and this was as consistent as all of them It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. The parking is easy and plentiful. The restaurant was clean and they also have a nice seating area.The service was fast and efficient and the line moved along quickly. It is a Southwest Mex street Tacos style place. The food was good and solid hot and delicious. I had the Carne asada and Al pastor fillings, corn tacos and I had my favorite "the California Burrito" in San Diego known as a "Surfer burrito." Thanks to bidenflation this place has now cheaped out even their great green chili burritos. Once filled with great green chili they now stuff it full of rice to make it look big but only give you a little of the green chili. I used to go here after work and get a single chicken taco and it filled me up. Lots of always tender chicken and you can ask for the spicy green salsa (I think it's avo NOT the tomatillo one) and it has good flavor and a real burn to it. The taco already comes with pico and generous guac (which is rare), both good. I like their chili relleno burritos too. For a fast food joint, it's good stuff. I love Filiberto's. The food is consistently fresh and tasty, and the people are super nice. Today I dropped by the drive through and got a fish taco and a bean and bean burrito. The fish is deep fried with a crunchy batter you get two large pieces bigger than the corn tortilla with sliced cabbage and a yummy creamy sauce. It's my favorite. The bean and cheese was delicious as well on a large flour tortilla and they didn't skimp on the cheese. A couple months ago I tried a carnitas bowl which was really good too. Rice beans pico de gallo and carnitas, yummy. You can't get Mexican food like this everywhere. read more

My wife and I have been to the other Filiberto's off of Grant. I think this place was better and we will continue to come here. The food was fantastic and the service was great. My husband preferred the 2 enchilada plate and I tried the green chile plate. Good balance of flavors and served with rice and beans. I've been to many locations and it was a shame to visit the one @ 635 E Wetmore. I got my order and went to the "open" sauce bar. I started to get some sauces and was approached by an employee who told me "ah sir, all of the sauces are already in the order". He was holding a broom in one hand like a soldier with a rifle at parade rest and his other hand pointing me away. I was so offended. I didn't feel like a customer, but rather like a beggar or a thief! I took my to go order and left. Later I felt so bad, I wanted to go back and correct him as a faithful customer. When I pulled up to the window , my chihuahua started barking as always. it's so irritating however, the guy working the window was so cool. He told me about his 4 dogs and shared pictures of them. Probably the best carne asada fries I've ever had. Most places I've gone have soggy fries with minimal toppings. Not these! They are crispy and covered in guacamole, sour cream, and cheese. I received two burnt nasty burritos and paid $30 for them! I'm amazed at the quality of product they are proud to push out of there windows. I live 15 minutes away or id drive back for a refund. I was shoving my rolled tacos in my face as I drove lol. They seemed extra crunchy and didn't seem to have anything inside of them, but I thought maybe I was imagining it.
