Chicken souvlaki, acai yogurt, lentil salad
Eileen C.

Yum! I adore this place. This place is like an upscale and fresh fast food joint you wish you had on your street. Luckily for us, we have it in the heart of our city. My boyfriend ordered food from here once via Über and raved about how good his three souvlakis were. We were in Greece last march so we know what good souvlaki is so I wanted to give this place a try too! The interior of this place is super hip and clean. You get menus when you sit but you have to go up to the counter to order and pay. We ordered two set menus. I got the chicken souvlaki with a side (salad of the day: lentil, avocado, feta), dessert (acai bowl Greek (with yogurt)), and water. My boyfriend got two souvlakis (chicken and beef) and water. Our meal came out to about 30€. The food was presented beautifully!! The lentil salad was delicious and hearty. My souvlaki was amazing! The meat is succulent and the pita is buttery and just perfect. My boyfriend was also raving about his two. But our dessert was really out of this world. It was acai mixed with yogurt and then topped with berries, peach, banana, and figs...totally worth the 1€ extra!! For a quick bite to eat or if you need your Greek fix, come here! I know I'll be ordering from them again or stopping by if I'm in the area!

Yum

Very tasty and quick lunch place. It's very reasonably priced if one sticks to the fixed formula's. Will definitely be back soon!

Found through Yelp, very nice lunch. Tasty, fast, friendly, lots of young people. 12€ menu is great, even the kids were full.

Great meal for our final night in Paris--however something is confusing. The facade of the…read morerestaurant had a different name--Kehribar. Looking at the photos of Istanbul, it has to be the same place, with the fabulous deli case. We had the hummus, tarama (pink caviar dip) and tzatziki with plentiful pita bread. All three were outstanding! We also had the chicken kebob and lamb kebob. Which were fine, but it was the dips that blew me away. I wish I'd had time to try other items in that deli case--it would be perfect to carry back to an Airbnb with a fridge. To top it off the waitress, manager, owner was so friendly and working non-stop. I found it by walking past it on the street while exploring the shops and restaurants on Rue St. Jacques. I looked up, saw the bright new sign and looked through the window. When I saw the deli case, I was sold.

It is a small place that serves take-out but also have a beautiful seating area that brings you back to places in Italy. Whomever designed this place, hats off to you! What a visually wonderful place. I ordered the mixed meat plate and my girlfriend ordered the two meet plate with chicken and lamb. Both plates where very tasty and a great option for lunch. It wasn't too heavy and gave us energy for a full day of walking. I highly recommend this place if you are visiting the area. Sit down, order some wine, eat some food and enjoy the scenery!

We knew we…read moreweren't relegated to bistros, brasseries, and boulangeries for our culinary choices, especially in a neighborhood as culturally diverse as Le Marais. That's what drew us to the fresh Israeli fare at this casual cafe. At around 7PM, the place was hopping because there were quite a few people not only dining but also waiting for takeout orders. We planted ourselves at the counter facing the busy prep area where the staff was assembling plates and pitas. We decided to share the 7,50€ Green Beans which looked to be quickly sautéed in lemon, garlic, and olive oil to a fresh, tasty snap (Photo 10). Jamie ordered the 13€ Golden Ratatouille, a healthy melange of eggplant, tomato, zucchini, carrot, and onion mixed in their house tomato sauce with a nice side of hard-boiled egg and tahini (Photo 8). Well, I thought one of us should try their specialty pita sandwiches, so I went with the 13€ Lamb Kebab. It was delicious with big lamb and beef meatballs peeking out of a nice fluffy pita stuffed with red onions and chopped cilantro, mint, and green onions. It was slathered liberally with tahini and their housemade spicy sauce (Photo 9). It was just the Middle Eastern meal we were hankering for. We can have escargots and croissants some other time. FOOD - 4 stars...big pita, saucy ratatouille AMBIANCE - 4 stars...kinda chaotic but comfortable SERVICE - 3.5 stars...pretty fast TOTAL - 4 stars...a fine Israeli option in Le Marais RELATED - Exploring Paris? The real star was the whole veggies. Everything was super fresh and we enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching the kitchen work. The service was fine. As one expects in Paris. Not overly friendly but adequate and able to understand our english mixed with very poor french. I'm not sure Id cross town unless you have a craving, but if youre in the area, definitely stop in!
