Olga called me and stated that they did not feel comfortable doing the job and that the apartment was smelly, which was not true. She also admitted that it was going to be an 8-hour job. Yes, that's what I was paying you for! But don't turn it back on me like I was the problem, just say that your girls weren't prepared to do the job! There was no explanation. When I called the company to ask what that meant, they told me they could no longer afford to come to Philadelphia and were dropping all Philadelphia clients. What's frustrating is that if I hadn't called, I never would have known what the message meant until they simply stopped showing up. Even worse, this happened two days before my next scheduled cleaning. After eight years of being a reliable customer who never missed a payment, the lack of communication and last-minute notice felt pretty disappointing. I completely understand that businesses sometimes have to change their service areas, but the way this was handled--via a vague automated email with no direct communication--was frankly unprofessional and inconsiderate to long-standing clients.
