The best veggie pizza I've ever had from a "chain" restaurant. Pickup was super quick even right before closing, will go back again :)

If they weren't the only pizza place in Philomath they most likely wouldn't be around. The pizza is mediocre and the service is a joke.

The hostess at the front desk seems genuinely happy to see us and, since we told her we like to sit at the bar, let us pick the seats we wanted. Our bartender/server was just the sweetest and most attentive ever. Chatted with us while making drinks for others and making us feel like the most important people in the bar, The food was excellent and perfect sized helpings, The Sangiovese wine, perfect and who knew Eugene made such yummy limoncello! If you are in town and looking for good Italian food, this is your place! We will be back.

The restaurants ambiance has a soft, intimate feel to it, but neither the chairs nor tables have the element of class one would expect. In fact, the perimeter of the seating area has wooden benches which make sitting comfortably relative to the table a trick. Meanwhile, the actual chairs reminded me more of modern living room chairs as opposed to dining chairs. As for the food, we found the two main courses rather tasty:one being a steak kabob and the other a lamb kabob. I have had the lamb kabob on another occasion and both times it was cooked so the lamb was juicy and tender: rather delicious. However, the lamb kabob only came with one skewer of meat. On the other hand, the wagyu beef kabob was very tasty in it's own right and this was two skewers worth. I had trouble squaring that discrepancy in my head - so be it. As an appetizer, we shared the calamari dish. I am used to large plates of breaded, fried calamari cooked to perfection from my days eating at Italian restaurants in New York. This appetizer came in a small cup, which appeared to be an 8 ounce size (the cup was fancy and black, consistent with the image they are trying to project). The calamari dish was good, but not anything special. Thus, without considering that this restaurant markets itself as, a high end , gourmet restaurant, I would rate the food portion of the review a 4 star. However, that must be adjusted to reflect the food preparation relative to marketed expectation and that knocks it down to a marginal 4, at best, probably a 3 in my book. The real killer was the service. I will say it was both pleasant and polite. However, this is the type of restaurant that is marketed to appeal to the romantic dinner crowd with high end expectations: the professionalism of the service fell far short. To begin with, the host and waitress sat us at a table directly next to another couple. Note that I had made a reservation for 7. When we arrived there were only three tables occupied. However, we were sat directly next to another couple even though we could have been sat another two tables away for far greater privacy and a more romantic experience. Then the waitress exhibited zero personality throughout the evening. In addition, she came over while we were still eating our main courses and asked if we wanted the dessert menus, even though the restaurant would be open for another hour. All in all, I feel that the server was a nice person, but was obviously not very experienced and added nothing to the experience - not what one expects in a place that is marketing itself as upscale. I had a restaurant business and used slow times as an opportunity to observe and teach. I noticed nobody making such an effort in a situation that called for it: a big oversight and lost opportunity for three parties: the server because they are not being assited to grow, the patron because the service impacts the consumers overall quality of the experience and the owner for the obvious reason that it impacts business long-term. I call it the win-win-win formula and this restaurant would benefit from applying this concept to training the wait staff so they are at the patrons expectation level. In summary, if this were a casual restaurant I would rate it a 3, but because of how the business is slotting itself into the market with it's pricing, portion sizes, ambiance and menu presentation - I believe it only merits a 2 star review in that particular market segment. I do not believe you will be disappointed with the overall experience, but neither time have I left their feeling wowed, and both times I left feeling that the experience did not meet the expectation for the cost nor for the intimate, romantic feel they want to project as providing

The menu is broad enough that there's plenty to pick from. We were there for dinner. The food was delicious! Mom had the grilled cheese with sweet potato fries (they were even good as cold leftovers!!). The sandwich comes with a combo of 3 melted cheeses. Dad had the honey glazed chicken. Also really good. Hubby had the 2-meat BBQ plate with pulled pork and 1/2 rack of ribs. He really liked his ribs. He was pleased with the baked beans, too. And I got the steak salad. Delicious! When trying a new place, I always go for that and I was not disappointed one bit! I tried both the baker's roll (rosemary and sage today) and the heart attack roll. Neither made me think I was eating GF. As first-timers, we were given free chocolate chip cookies. The centers were soft and moist with crisp edges. I do like a ymmy sweet to finish off the meal. It's really nice to have a GF restaurant where the family can all go and find something without compromising selection or taste. We'll certainly be back!!

As we…read morewere walking to the table, they asked if it was our first visit (it was), as that meant complimentary chocolate chip cookies! The large menu can seem a bit overwhelming, but once you figure out how the BBQ plates work, it's easy to order one of their standard dishes, or customize your own combo. I ended up going with the "Single Plate", with an additional side. I got pulled pork with Carolina BBQ sauce, mac n' cheese, a baker's roll (varies from day to day), and added sweet potato waffle fries. Everything was delicious. The pulled pork was a little more "wet" than I'm used to, but it was smoky and flavorful, especially with the BBQ sauce. The roll was almost muffin-like, with rosemary seasoning mixed into the batter, which I quite enjoyed. The mac n' cheese definitely has a cheesy texture, with a caramelized top, but the flavors weren't as sharp as I like -- still very good, especially after I accidentally spilled some of that Carolina BBQ sauce on top of it. My food gets all mixed together on a BBQ plate, anyway; so why not? LOL The sweet potato waffle fries get their own section, because they were that good. The coating was crispy and well seasoned, with a slight kick -- they were amazing. I would probably ask for ketchup to dip them in next time, but since they had brought me extra BBQ sauce (without my asking), I just used that... or ate them without any dipping sauce. Our server was amazing throughout our lunch. She was always friendly and informative, and really helped make for a great experience. She remembered our cookies at the end (we got them to go), and didn't miss a beat when we decided to order from their dessert case last minute. Since it was "pi day", they had lots of pie related options -- all small servings, for 1 or 2. My wife and I shared a Key Lime bar, which was delicious. It was a little richer than I expected, but was nice and creamy, with that tart lime kick. The crust was good and crunchy, too. We knew coming in that this establishment was all gluten-free, even though nobody in our party needed to avoid gluten, and I was preparing myself to be disappointed -- and I can happily say that never happened! A lot of what E&T serves is homemade, and they obviously know what they are doing, so their GF offerings far surpass many dining establishment's full gluten options. If you have lower expectations for GF food, as I did, leave them at the door. Even my daughter, who is a pretty good baker herself, was impressed with the "heart attack" roll that she ordered with her meal -- we have never seen GF bread that fluffy! These guys obviously know what they are doing. Oh yeah, and those chocolate chip cookies? So good -- soft, and loaded with chocolate chips. We will definitely stop in again next time we are in the area.

Delicia or D, as she wanted to be called, was our server. She was friendly, helpful and made great suggestions for our order. All 4 of our family members were very satisfied with the menu selections we received. The food was delicious and cooked exactly the way we ordered it. After dinner, they was a problem with my rewards. She took it to the manager who solved the issue and corrected the final check. My family and I stopped by The Old Spaghetti Factory for lunch on a Friday afternoon. The…read morerestaurant was super empty when we arrived, but looking around, the restaurant also seemed short-staffed. I've visited a number of Old Spaghetti Factory locations in California before, so I'm well familiar with the lunch menu. The loaf of bread that arrived on our table after we placed our order was piping hot. It was actually so hot, it was difficult to pick up and cut. There's no doubt that this bread is as fresh as it gets. The minestrone soup I opted for with my entree was filled to the brim and packed with a variety of veggies. If you're looking to cut some calories, you'll definitely want to go with the soup over one of their heavily dressed salads. My wife and I actually split their manager's favorite with meat sauce and mizithra cheese. We opted to up-size to a hearty portion for $4.99, which comes with extra sauce and noodles. The spaghetti was well cooked in terms of texture, but could have been drained a bit better. The meat sauce had a bunch of ground beef in it, and the mizithra cheese was salty, nutty, and tangy. If this is your first time visiting an Old Spaghetti Factory location, I highly recommend trying out the mizithra cheese because I have not see this option offered anywhere else. I regret to report that one dish our party ordered was completely dropped. It was difficult to flag down our server to inform them of the issue, so we ended up having to run around the restaurant to find a staff member. We ended up waiting close to 15 more minutes for the last dish to be prepared, at which point all the food that had been delivered earlier had dropped to being room temperature. Overall, it was a mixed meal. Service was somewhat lacking, and food was pretty standard as far as Old Spaghetti Factory locations.

I was enticed by the pictures of fresh salads and wood fired pizzas. We ended up getting a few pizzas, a couple different pastas. They were all so flavorful (not salty) the texture of the gnocchi was so soft and absorbed the flavorful sauce. We were all blown away. We used QR to order, and were advised to order in waves. Drinks first. Everything came out promptly, even though the restaurant was pretty full. The last few days we ate at some incredible restaurants. Cold Springs Tavern in Santa Barbara, Nepenthe in Big Sur, then we come to Osteria DOP and all agreed the food here was unmatched. The best. For driving many hours, I liked that the atmosphere was casual, but it still looked modern and nice.
