By now, the Fig Tree Café in downtown Jonesboro has become a popular go-to for morning / afternoon atmosphere, even with its near-scanty hours of operation. Open all week, save for Sunday, the spot is an adjunct of Jonesboro Baptist Church, but one need not be denominational to fit in. One entree, the grits -- when served steaming with cheese & bacon -- is my personal favorite. The hot cappuccino bread with generous chocolate chips comes in a near second. An antique piano adds personality to FTC's spread. Two more interesting details include the prayer wall and an absence of orange juice at the food counter. To be brief, FTC is a gem this critic highly recommends.

What an amazing and wonderful surprise. Just flew into town and was looking for a cup of coffee and quick bite to eat before my meeting. Thankfully, none of the big chain places were nearby. Found this amazing gem down on Main Street. Who does not want to try the local coffee house on any Main Street in small towns USA? It did not disappoint. Service was warm and friendly with good suggestions. Both my sandwich and coffee were delicious. I could not stop smiling at the decor. I so wanted to pull out my book and settle in for an hour to read and drink coffee. Maybe next time. In the meantime, go down to Main Street and visit them. You will thank me later!

Hello all, this is such a cute cafe. Prices are nice (paid around $12 for my sandwich,muffin,and beverage w/tip) and food is tasty for a quick coffee run. The service is also nice. Only thing I would "negatively" comment about is the drinks on the blackboards which weren't up to date, so I was really sad when I found out I couldn't get a cream soda The BLT was really good and so was the strawberry lemonade. Definitely would be back 4.5/5

This little feel good coffee shop never disappoints! It's location is beautiful across from the Old CC courthouse in the historic district of downtown Jonesboro. I usually run by this shop every morning. After my lifelong commitment to boycott Starbucks, I think I'll be stopping by much more often!

I'm happy because it's really the first local coffee shop in the neighborhood that is like this. Before, we only had Mt Zion Barnes and Nobles with its Starbucks and recently opened is the independent Starbucks on Tara Blvd. The closest Starbucks was otherwise 20 mins away near Eagles Landing. Then, we had to go to CSU library or DD in Lake City. So, when I'm in Morrow area, I like to come here because it is really peaceful, clean, and cozy- and local. It's also not FREEZING from air con and there are plenty of outlets! Lovely customer service. It's really a spot for locals and commuters wouldn't really go here. It's a nice study and work spot. Hours are a bit inconvenient. It is a place with religious values but no pressure if you're not of same faith. I feel welcomed bc it also has a community vibe. Clayton Co has a strong religious community so it reflects that, I think! Not really vegetarian friendly-All their food except sweets pastries has meat. Cutest coffee shop on Main St in Jonesboro. So inviting and staff was very friendly, great coffee as well. Jonesboro needs a lot more of this to revitalize but this is a great start.

Cute and cozy place. Staff pleasant and helpful. Table seating or sofas and chairs. From Groups of 6-8 to 1 person doing computer work were present when I was visited. They have serve your self water with cute large shot glasses! My chai latte with almond milk (I declined the 2 pumps of vanilla) was the best I've ever had but next time I will request it hotter. My wife and I stopped in to the dig tree cafe recently and were in love with the decor, the service, and the offerings. The proprietor made me a special flavored espresso at no extra charge because we were new customers. They definitely provide exceptional service at this establishment. I stumbled upon this lovely spot while trying to find a coffee and sandwich place south of Atlanta. The cafe is spacious and with an unexpected decor. The staff are informative and friendly. They have a good variety of coffee drinks and 15 teas. The sandwiches and salads are made fresh daily but not made to order. I chose the cold brew which was delicious. I had planned to get a sandwich but they all had avocado mayo, and I'm not a big fan of mayo. I went with a mixed berry salad with diced chicken. It was fresh and better for me than the sandwiches! If you're in the Jonesboro area and want a place to chill, work, hang out with friends, or grab something to go, this is the place. read more

Had an awesome experience. Great coffee. The iced coffee was a nice mellow blend. I just wish they had simple syrup for it instead of flavored sweeteners or sugar(sugar does not melt well in iced coffee). The pour over bold was excellent. From entering the cafe until we left, I felt very welcomed and warm at Fig Tree. I ordered a regular brewed coffee and my fiancé got the European latte. Both were delicious! Very nice to have a superb coffee shop nearby. read more

Looks like a new place and very enthusiastic employees. They had keto coffee selections on their board which was nice to see. Cinnamon roll was recommended and was delicious... my husband had a croissant sandwich and he said his was excellent too! Keto cappuccino was awesome! Okay drinks here are amazing! The atmosphere is quiet very home-looking, decor everything looks good. Now please don't come here and expect that they'll make you a omelette, or big breakfast plates. This is literally just a cafe, if you're starving go somewhere else I'm saying this because it happened to me :) but i Love it! This is a clean coffee shop. I'm not giving a lower star grade for any reason other than their online presence: they represent themselves as having a full menu on their website. When we went into the cafe, asked for a menu, told there was no menu and directed to look into a cooler that had 3 different ways to have chicken salad or pimento cheese. I'm sure this is an excellent coffee shop. However, it is not a cafe. read more

I got an oat milk latte with an extra shot of espresso which I enjoyed very much! The price was very reasonable! Came here to get work done while in the area. There was ample seating and not overcrowded. The music is a tad loud; my headphones barely drowned it out. I'd suggest turning it down just a bit. The service is great. Everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful. Their coffee is good and they have a decent selection of teas. Wish they had more vegan goodies. Everything looked so good. My wife and I moved to Georgia from Vermont a little over a year ago. It was a culture shock to say the least. We struggled to find the quiet and quaint hometown feel of VT Cafes. Our only options seemed to be Starbucks or Krispy Kreme. I don't mind going the corporate route occasionally, but they're not ideal for getting a little computer work done, having a meeting or just plain relaxing in a comfortable enviornment. Luckily, by chance, we happened to buy a couch from the owners who treated us to a visit at their cafe. I must say, it was as if we walked right back into Vermont. It's beautufully old fashioned, with enough space that you never feel claustrophobic or overpowered by noise. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food selection is what you'd expect from a cafe, not much different than what you's get at a Starbucks. I either get the Chai Tea Latte or the European Latte, both divine. When we first arrived it was Christmas time and the place was beautifully decorated, with a Santa Clause as real as can be doing his thing. My only complain is that I wish this place was closer than 11 minutes away, but then I'd be here every day. read more

I have been here several times before and always had a good experience. Usually I just get some…read morecoffee, and the coffee is good, but this time I decided to try some of their pastries because they look so pretty and it is a bakery, after all! We tried three different pastries, and none were great. The cheese danish was the worst. It wasn't made on flaky pastry. It was like a thick, chewy slab of pizza crust with some cheese and jam on top. Literally, the texture and taste was exactly like a thick, stale pizza crust. So confusing. The chocolate macaron was hard as a rock. We went across the street to the bookstore after and got macarons that were delicate, soft, and melted in our mouths, and the difference was striking. The gf pop tart was the best of the three, but even that was doughy and falling apart so that's not saying a lot! Overall, for a bakery, I was really disappointed. Coffee is consistently good, but man. The pastries really fell short.

The space inside is modern chic and so inviting. They had TONS of pastry and sandwich options and I couldn't resist ordering a gluten free blondie. I ordered an iced matcha with almond milk and half pump of simple syrup. My husband just ordered an americano. It did take awhile to get our order-there were two other people ahead of us, but you could tell that everything was handcrafted. Everything we ordered was delicious! I found the Matcha a little too sweet for my liking even with half pump simple syrup. The blondie was divine. Service here was wonderful too.
