Decided to pop in here today for a latte! I got the maple harvest (iced) which was good but I wish it had had a little more cinnamon flavor the description promised. Paid $5.40 which I thought was fair for the size. The employees were friendly, and there was a ton of seating. If there was music playing it was at a very low volume, which I think it could have been a tiny bit louder since the space is huge. Not their fault really but since the cafe is downtown the parking is hit or miss, which does make it a bit hard to gauge if you'll be able to get in and out quickly. My biggest problem with this cafe is their hours, I've been wanting to come in here for a while but the fact that they're only open until 3pm most days makes it hard. Every time I come to Jonesboro to visit my grandmother, I make a point to stop by Fig Tree. This visit did not disappoint! The young lady who helped us was an absolute gem. She was warm, welcoming and suggested popular seasonal items. Upon her suggestion, I ordered the apple cider latte, and it was, hands-down, the best latte I've had in recent memory. My fiancé ordered the iced mocha and it was equally delicious. The decor makes for a cozy space and there is plenty of room to find a little nook for a private conversation. So I'd been waiting to try fig tree. When you walk in the decor reminds you of someone's grandma living room. Which makes the space inviting. I ordered one of their seasonal drinks maple something, however the coffee left some type of aftertaste. I couldn't put my finger on it and I also couldn't finish my coffee I tossed a full cup of coffee. Then I ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese. By now, the Fig Tree Café in downtown Jonesboro has become a popular go-to for morning / afternoon atmosphere, even with its near-scanty hours of operation. Open all week, save for Sunday, the spot is an adjunct of Jonesboro Baptist Church, but one need not be denominational to fit in. One entree, the grits -- when served steaming with cheese & bacon -- is my personal favorite. The hot cappuccino bread with generous chocolate chips comes in a near second. An antique piano adds personality to FTC's spread. Two more interesting details include the prayer wall and an absence of orange juice at the food counter. What an amazing and wonderful surprise. Just flew into town and was looking for a cup of coffee and quick bite to eat before my meeting. Thankfully, none of the big chain places were nearby. Found this amazing gem down on Main Street. Who does not want to try the local coffee house on any Main Street in small towns USA? It did not disappoint. Service was warm and friendly with good suggestions. Both my sandwich and coffee were delicious. I could not stop smiling at the decor. I so wanted to pull out my book and settle in for an hour to read and drink coffee. Maybe next time. In the meantime, go down to Main Street and visit them. You will thank me later! read more

Hello all, this is such a cute cafe. Prices are nice (paid around $12 for my sandwich,muffin,and beverage w/tip) and food is tasty for a quick coffee run. The service is also nice. Only thing I would "negatively" comment about is the drinks on the blackboards which weren't up to date, so I was really sad when I found out I couldn't get a cream soda The BLT was really good and so was the strawberry lemonade. I'm happy because it's really the first local coffee shop in the neighborhood that is like this. Before, we only had Mt Zion Barnes and Nobles with its Starbucks and recently opened is the independent Starbucks on Tara Blvd. The closest Starbucks was otherwise 20 mins away near Eagles Landing. Then, we had to go to CSU library or DD in Lake City. So, when I'm in Morrow area, I like to come here because it is really peaceful, clean, and cozy- and local. It's also not FREEZING from air con and there are plenty of outlets! Lovely customer service. It's really a spot for locals and commuters wouldn't really go here. It's a nice study and work spot. Hours are a bit inconvenient. It is a place with religious values but no pressure if you're not of same faith. I feel welcomed bc it also has a community vibe. Clayton Co has a strong religious community so it reflects that, I think! Not really vegetarian friendly-All their food except sweets pastries has meat. This place is a hidden gem! I'm so glad they opened up a coffee shop near my home. Apparently they've been open for a year or two now but I've never seen it or stopped by until recently and I will be back again! The atmosphere is so great even with COVID, it's so nice and spacious inside, definitely great for social distancing and doing work. It's in Main Street so it's in a convenient location. The staff is super sweet and welcoming & the food & drinks are good! The price is decent for a low income area. 10/10 would recommend. You'll love it!! read more

The personnel are always pleasant. When you visit early, it's quiet. A nice place to enjoy a cup of coffee and read a good book or meditate on scripture. I love this cute little coffee shop, this is definitely what the city of Jonesboro needed. The selection of food is always plentiful, they have sandwiches, salads, fruit, pastries, etc. the coffee is also strong and delicious. My only complaint is that they don't have much of a variety of milk. Most coffee places have skim, 2% and whole as an option but this place only had almond milk (which is cool) and one other dairy milk. Parking is also not an issue, there's a huge lot behind the building if parking up front is difficult. read more

My first visit to the Fig Tree Café which has been open for about six weeks. I got the fruity chicken salad (which came on a bed of lettuce with three cubes of cheese and three grapes) and a croissant to go with it. Plus a caramel apple cookie for dessert and a cranberry white chocolate scone for later- somehow I could not resist. Got my order to go. While I was making my sandwich at home I had to take a bite of the chicken salad first. Was quite disappointed that the first bite unfortunately had a coffee flavor to it which I don't like & don't drink. I finished making my sandwich & added the lettuce & began eating. The chicken salad was much better with the croissant which was buttery and flaky and so soft & delicious. Both the cookie and scone were delicious. I think I'll go back. read more

Had great smell and taste was like a semi sweet single origin. No crema. Demitasse was warm. Very good. The pour over was a dark roast and it was very good. It started to get cool a little too soon, 3-4 mins. Raw Sugar pack had clumped sugar, still tasted great. Very good overall getting some beans for myself. Easy parking just 50m down the main Street.
