Today though they messed up our order and gave me the wrong Beans and my wife who has a STRONG AVERSION to beans requested NO BEANS but Instead received refried beans.. Not a big deal but if they're messing simple stuff like this up.. are they doing the other stuff to keep your food safe during a pandemic?? I don't know.. Missed opportunity Fiesta Taco. At least based on my 3 visits, everyone that's been behind the register have been really kind on the phone (for take out orders) or in person! The burritos are extremely good and filling. My go-to for super burritos! I always get the carne asada. If you try this place, you have to try their green salsa; it has this certain creaminess to it with just enough spice to go with their extra thick chips (all you can eat). Out of our whole order, my girlfriend only liked the shrimp tacos and the quesadilla. Too much hype for some plain tacos. Came here with a friend on a Friday evening. The service was pretty good, there was plenty of space to sit down, and the food was excellent. There was a little bit of a high school/local school vibe but I wasn't bothered by it at all. We used to come here all the time and even got them to cater for us a couple times. We came here today for our first time since last year due to the pandemic and was very disappointed. First of all, we waited 20 minutes for our food to be ready. Then I took the food home only to realize my Al Pastor hard shell taco barely had any meat in it and the meat tasted like ground beef instead of Al Pastor. The majority of the taco contained mostly beans (see image). I know I can get more meat at Taco Bell for half the price! My wife ordered a super quesadilla and the size of the tortilla they used looked like a kid's tortilla. Finally, the guacamole tasted super bland like they forgot to put any seasoning in it. It tasted literally like smashed avocados with some chili peppers and nothing else. I had to add my own salt and lime juice to put more flavor into it. What a disappointing experience! Coming from San Diego I have high expectations for Mexican food. And although 'Fiesta Taco' (this should've been a sign) some things right - it's not nearly as good as I had wanted it to be. The cashier was super friendly, love the unlimited chips/salsa bar, tons of seating and easy parking - but the food was not up to par. I tried a super quesadilla with pollo asada, and a taco with pollo asada. Both were just mediocre, mainly because of the flavorless meat. A complete waste of calories in my opinion. My boyfriend had the carne asada burrito - and that was probably the best thing we ordered. Even the guacamole tasted thin and watered down (not even sure how to accomplish this) on the taco and quesadilla. On the flip side - the chips and salsa were good! I would've been happy just eating these and nothing else. They take card, but charge for anything under $10. Would probably not come back but I'm sure this place will do fine as it's one of the only Mexican joints in the area. read more

This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Dublin/Pleasanton area. It usually takes less than 15 minutes for me to both order and receive my food. My favorite thing to order here are the adobada soft tacos. At $2.75 a soft taco, I think it is well worth the value considering how much meat they put into each taco! The flavor of the entrees are honestly just OK to above average, nothing that blows me out of the water. However, the GREEN SALSA from their chip and salsa bar (which are both free) is some of the best salsa I have ever had which is what really warrants my raving review of this place. So in the (almost) week that we've been living just around the block from this place, my husband and I have been here twice. So yeah, it's probably going to be our regular taco place (and at $2.50 a generously filled taco, how can you go wrong?) It wasn't bad, mind you, but my husband offered up one of his tacos and I immediately regretted not ordering tacos (also the place is literally called Fiesta Taco. I should have known better!!) So far, his favorite meat is the carnitas and mine is the al pastor. Other meats I've tried are the lengua and the carne asada, but it seems that the marinaded meats are the most flavorful and moist. Order chips and salsa if you don't mind paying a tad extra; the chips are AYCE (homemade, super good and extra crunchy) and you refill as needed, and the salsa bar is bomb. I have no idea what's in the green sauce (jalapeños and maybe bell peppers?) but it's GOOD. Oranger of the red sauces is slightly spicy and delicious, and my husband eats the pico plain. Cherry on top for me is the horchata; so, so good. Need to ask if I can actually refill next time tho. This spot came as a true eye-opening experience. I mean, honestly - every part of my visit reminded me of an important lesson: never judge a book by its cover. As I drove around Pleasanton looking for something to eat, I came across this little spot which was the corner unit nestled away in a small plaza. The sign read "Fiesta Taco". I thought, mmmm. Let's give it a whirl! And so I parked... The store front was well taken care of, and pretty new looking, but nothing special. Again, it was in a plaza so all the front was unified besides the front of each establishment. But boy, was I ever transported to a different era when I walked in... There were large wooden tables that stretched in two different directions across the restaurant. They oddly reminded me of my university cafeteria. The walls were a mix of wood panelling and wallpaper. The ceiling tiles and old school curling fans reminded me of the 70s. Needless to say, at first glance I wasn't sure what was going on. I walked up to the cash were a lady was pleasant and ready to take my order. The place runs similar to a fast-food joint. You order at the cash, then take a seat whereever you'd like. I ordered the taco salad - sounded good. There weren't any photos of the photo so I was going in blind. After paying, the lady gave me a number and said they'd deliver my order once it was ready. I looked around for somewhere to sit. While doing this I see a little station set up with a homemade sign saying "homemade tortillas, please help yourself," or something along those lines. Wasn't mad about that! I filled the provided to-go container with chips and grabbed a few of the dips they had out. One was a hot sauce, one an onion melody, and the last a guacamole. Everything was delicious! So much so that I filled up a bit too much on chips, ha. The food came out pretty quickly. But I honestly wouldn't have noticed if it hadn't because I was so distracted by the chips and dip station. My taco salad was a definite surprise! Not only was it amazing, but it came in a homemade chip bowl - awesome! To conclude: definitely give this place a try! I love when we're reminded of simple lessons. I had been here a few times before and wasn't super impressed, but I feel like they have really stepped up their game recently! The pastor is so good, but the carne asada also has great flavor. This place is very family friendly, there are always lots of families and kids here. What I LOVE about this place, is their salsa bar, SO GOOD!
