This place it's my favorite Mexican restaurant around East Iowa. The food is always delicious. Lots of flavors. The drinks are also very tasty and the service has always always been top notch! I must say, I really like Fiesta Cancun. I have been there between 7-10 times over the past couple of years and I have never been disappointed. You never have to wait, the food is high quality (no bones in the chicken like Los Azteca next door) and the servers work really hard. I am a regular of the shrimp fajita and you can get the lunch deal for $7 and it is more than enough food. I have tried other things as well and have never been disappointed. My wife and I decided to give Fiesta Cancun a try. We had the Texas Fajita for two . We usually have that where ever we go , if it's on the menu. It was good . The service was very good, but the margaritas tasted like lemonade. There was no hint of tequila at all, and for the price you should be able to taste the booze. read more

They messed up my order and when I brought it up to the manager, he was incredibly rude to me and said he couldn't give money back (my boyfriend had already went and paid without bringing up my messed up order). The food was mediocre, I only went there because it was the only Mexican restaurant open on a Sunday night. He then reluctantly handed me two dollars out of the cash register, even though they forgot to bring me one-third of my meal, which was $10. I haven't had that bad of service ever in all my restaurant experiences. read more

My boyfriend's and i where there for dinner, his meal was too salty and tough to eat ,he had a small portion of his meals since he hadn't eaten all day (1/4) of it),I had mentioned this 3 times since they speak very little english and couldnt understand the only response looking at me confused the last person just pointing at the total on the bill saying done.What crappie serves. Food was horrible, came out within 3 mins from ordering how can chicken and beef be freshly made with this time. We had mentioned the poor food and being un eatable ( steak way to tuff couldn't cut with steak knife) at this point they all said no English.Never again !!! read more

As a native Of Southern California, I try to keep an open mind when visiting "authentic" Mexican restaurants. I was very disappointed with Fiesta Cancun. The first indication should have been the salsa. It was be t bland missing the element of onions and cilantro. The beans were a little runny. The enchiladas looked like a heaping mess and were not wrapped properly. The tamale was covered in some type of meat sauce. This was certainly my first and last time to this establishment. read more

I was raised in Southern California and had access to unlimited authentic Mexican options. I wasn't expecting much here at all to say the least. When we pulled up I wasn't too impressed with the outside - not that it was bad but mini-mall appearing. Upon entering, it was very nice. We were met promptly, greeted, and seated quickly in a comfortable booth. TONS of options to choose from, with a beautiful menu. Really good chips and salsa and frequent drink refills. I ordered the giant beef burrito, my wife the shrimp chimichanga, my son the Nachos Texacono (beef strips, chicken strips, AND shrimp), and other son the children's quesodilla. The food came quickly and was fresh and tasty. Very authentic in our opinion. Friendly service. Everybody was very satisfied. Don't think twice. Highly recommended. read more

This is the best mexican food I've had since spending a month in Visalia, CA. I ordered the fajitas and the portions were just right (read: large enough for a big appetite). The chicken and beef were juicy. The shrimp were fresh, and the tortillas were flavorful (although 3 is cutting it close considering the amount of food you get!). The staff was friendly and the service was fast. My only complaint is of the flies that were bugging me throughout my meal. However, since no one else in the dining area was swatting around like a madman, I'm going to assume that this probably doesn't happen to most patrons. read more

I was surprised to see that this restaurant had so many excellent reviews, because my experience was pretty luke-warm (like the food). My wife and I decided to get an early dinner there after visiting family and so we walked in. The decor is like something out of a satirical spring break dinnershack, but that's not the problem as sometimes you want a little cheese with your meal. The service was not the problem either, as our host and waiter were both extremely accomodating and friendly. The food was the problem, and it was a big one. I have counted on my right hand the number of times I've sent food back to the kitchen, and this was the most recent. The food came out very quickly, and the plates were scalding to the touch, but my entree (Chiles Poblanos) was cold on the inside - maybe cook the food a little longer, chef. Also, it was pretty plain to me that the stuffed poblano chiles were bought pre-stuffed and frozen due to general lack of flavor and texture, and filled not with cheese but with Kraft chihuahua cheese sauce. In fact, all the cheese tasted like Velveta from south of the border. I got some enchiladas after sending my first order back, and they were just OK, with a meat quality being only slightly better than Taco Bell's ground "beef product". I had also ordered a regular margarita since they were only $2, but if there was tequila in that drink, I couldn't taste it. The best thing about the food that I had was the salsa, which had a nice smoky flavor that even the slightly stale, cold tortilla chips couldn't ruin. Won't be back there again... read more

This is my go to Mexican restaurant. I would say I probably visit this establishment more than most. I consider their employees my amigos if you will, shout out to my boy Filipe. You're always greeted by a friendly face to show you to a table when you walk through the doors. They have nice Mexican decor around the restaurant. I personally like the comfy booths. Anyways let me get to the food your waiter sets you up with some chips and salsa right from the jump and the chips are hot and the salsa is plentiful. The margaritas are some of my favorites, they have a pretty wide variety of flavors and sizes and they usually have a special going for certain sizes. They have the largest selection of food in town in my opinion. I'm a big fan of the Acapulco burrito, it's got chicken, shrimp and steak. Not going to lie it's sounds like something you would eat drunk but it's super fire. Anyways you can't go wrong with their combination dinners or adding ala cart items like tacos or small quesadillas. The cheese dip and guacamole are also always a must. To wrap things up it's reasonably price it's fast and the staff will treat you like la familia. read more

If you want the best mexcian food in town this is the place to go. Everything is made fresh from scratch...the tortillas are hand made, salsas homeade, even the chips are fresh fried on the premises. I went for lunch with a friend. My friend ordered special, taco salad. It arrived in on a platter. The platter was covered in juice. My friend attempted to eat and had me try. The meat was tasteless. I had a burrito with 3 sauce. 1/4 into it, they meat was like beef jerky, encountered a long hair. We both just decided to leave and call it a day. Mt friend took a last sip of her soda and her straw became stuck with what looked like chicken. At this point the bill was already paid, but wanted to make them aware. We were then offered $4.00 off if we would come back again. I asked to give it to the waiter n as his service was good. read more

Terrible experience. My husband's chicken was rubbery, and I found a hair in my food halfway through my meal (gross!!). Waiter took my food and apologized - I asked to just have the meal taken off my bill. Seemed pretty reasonable... When the bill came, it still had my meal on it! They actually had the hair at the front counter and said they didn't think it came from anyone in the kitchen, so "not our problem, full charge".. I guess they were that hard up for my $8.
