We sat outside cause it's summer and it was a perfect temperate in the early evening. There are games outside that we enjoyed playing (connect 4 and frisbee golf). I taught my gf to throw the frisbee The server was extremely nice and welcomed us. We asked her questions about the town and even how the police react to speeding The burger I got with jalapeños was delicious!! Cooked medium rare and it was perfect. The fries were delicious My girlfriends wedge salad was extremely salty. I tried it and had to spit it out. She's didn't want to make a big deal out of it even though she was still hungry. We hadn't told the server b/c I didn't know at first, I mentioned it to her later and she said we'd get a comp or something but only took $2 off. Overall would come back again it was just an interesting situation but we wanted to have a good vacation!

The special was Country Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and corn. Sounded perfect for my level of hunger. It arrived too quickly and made me curious. It was cold. The CFS was a typical patty you get at the frozen food section. The potatoes followed the same process but had a splash of COLD milk gravy. Needless to say it was NOT GOOD!!!! Very disappointing. So be careful and don't get caught there.

No real vibe but the place is local so that's a perk. Overall, idk if the service gets better or if the food does either.

The atmosphere was great and made you feel transported to a different time. Parking is pretty easy but it's about a 2-3 minute walk up to the restaurant Food- 5 stars wild mushrooms- this is a must-order. Incredibly tasty and on the heavier side Elk meatball- pretty good, but I enjoyed their mains more Smoked trout dip- pretty good, but I enjoyed their mains more bison short rib- incredibly tender and very flavorful. The more lean profile of the bison really showed out, and made me appreciate how much tastier bison is compared to beef Wapiti chops- incredibly tender and very flavorful, without being too gamey or fatty Elk and porcini ravioli- really good as well panzanella- balanced and fresh. very well done Service and atmosphere- 5 stars Food came out quickly and the servers and bartenders were really attentive. The cabin feel, the lighting, and all the taxidermy on the walls. I truly felt transported to what Montana is pictured to be. Incredible experience if you're around the area Bottom Line Excellent steakhouse at the Lone Mountain Ranch. The quintessential place to get the Montana experience

We arrived for lunch on Sunday, around 1:30. It took a good 5 minutes for anyone to greet us. We…read morethink it was the manager who finally rescued us, he was very friendly. Our server was efficient, he brought us a pitcher of water after we quickly downed our first glasses. We ordered 3 burgers and the steak sandwich. The burgers and fries were all great. The steak sandwich had maybe 2oz of meat on it and a few arugula leaves. We called attention to the measly sandwich with the waiter...like surely this can't be right for $33? He didn't act like it was unusual, but offered to swap it out for another burger at our request. I wish I would've taken photo of it, because it was comical. Especially next to the huge burger and huge turkey club sandwiches they were bringing out. There were a LOT of flies and bees around our table constantly. All other tables had one of those fly fans on them, but we didn't get one. The flies were abundant and annoying. This was the first meal we've eaten at Big Sky, so I can't say whether or not we would return. Perhaps at dinner. It has a great reputation. But I wouldn't order the steak sandwich again.

The food and drinks were excellent, but the highlight of the night was Trent. We were looking for recommendations on things to do in the area, and Trent absolutely delivered. Scenic drives, sightseeing spots, Yellowstone stops, local attractions--you name it, he had a recommendation for it. The suggestions were coming faster than we could write them down, and every time we thought he was done, he'd remember three more places we needed to see. His food and cocktail recommendations were spot on, and he was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. As an added bonus, his voice carries exceptionally well, so hearing all of those recommendations was never an issue, even on a busy Friday night. Copper is a great spot, but Trent is what made the experience memorable. If you find yourself sitting at his bar, settle in--you'll leave with a great meal, a great drink, and a much longer list of places to visit than you arrived with.

Food and service was pretty average - we like to order an adult beverage before dinner and peruse the menu. We were told the bar was backed up so we should get our food order in. So, not a take-your-time kinda place. Not rude, but not chill. Shared a 1/2 portion wedge salad @ $12 - perfect for two and tasty. Main entrees were a bit disappointing: 8 oz Tenderloin Filet @ $54 was cooked a bit more than requested and it came with (2) baked potatoes which we've never seen before (+ $4 upcharge). The Pan Seared Trout @ $34 was prepared nicely but there is not any flavor; served w/ a Blackberry BBQ but very sparingly. Super bland. Would come back to visit the bar - would consider ordering a burger, but wouldn't return for the main entrees.
