I ordered the Mac and cheese and the wedge salad (without tomatoes). If blue cheese isn't your favorite, don't get the wedge. If you are a blue cheese maniac like me - GET THIS SALAD IMMEDIATELY!!!! The chunks of blue cheese seem like boulders compared to other places. It was delicious. The Mac and cheese was good, but the sauce a bit runny for my preference. This place is the millennial trifecta - beer, coffee and a very modern atmosphere. I had a fantastic first experience and will be back! The biggest issue will be finding parking. There are a few spots in their tiny parking lot and a few on the street. As you walk up there are two entrances - one for the restaurant and tap room and the other is what they call their still room which is study/work/event space. You can only order from the tap room area so go there first. There is a host stand where they will seat you at a table. You can also walk out to coffee counter or bar area for beer. We were lucky enough to get a table outside right by the tv so my husband could watch football. When I go to a brewery for the first time I like to get a flight to figure out what I like best. The light beer and their IPA were my favorites. They also had a season chai beer that was quite yummy. We ordered an appetizer of the garlic buffalo wings - the small portion is $8 and way more wings than I expected. They are grilled wings and then tossed in the sauce. My husband prefers fried wings but I thought they were delicious. The buffalo sauce wasn't too spicy with hints of garlic. My ideal chicken wing. I didn't get to try the coffee but I will definitely be back. I personally think this is a genius concept with beer and coffee, and more breweries should do this. read more

The kitchen really puts a lot of thought into their food. We've tried several things on the menu over the years and are never disappointed. More importantly (for me) is the great beer selection that I've watched evolve and expand over the past few years. The service is always great and I really feel like the staff cares about providing a good experience. Really the only knock used to be the limited parking but there is now an annex so I appreciated that they resolved that issue. I highly recommend this place. If you are looking to have a meal out and have your body feel good after I highly recommend Field Brewing. The owners are amazing and care deeply for their community. You will often find Field Brewing collaborating with other local artists of all kinds to bring classes to life inside the restaurant. And if you happen to be visiting them in the warmer months you have to practically stumble through their outside gardens to enter. A great brewery/coffee shop located right in the town of Westfield! We stopped in here on a Saturday and loved it! The staff was so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. There was a beer for everybody to choose from all the way from hoppy to not or light to dark. The night game was a really great beer, light on the hops, a dark color but a smooth and refreshing taste! the inside is filled with large tables able to accommodate groups of any size! The brewery also serves food so it can be a one stop shop if you'd like! There is a bar for open seating, or tables to have a waiter/waitress come assist you. The beers were priced fairly and came out poured correctly. I also saw they have trivia on Tuesdays, that's a must in the future for me!! All I can say is wow. Stopped by today for lunch and to try some of their beers. We were blown away. Absolutely the only downside is that we live so far away from it! We had a flight of beer (the special for Thursday was $7 flights) so we were able to sample 5 of the house beers. Each one stood out to me as a unique craft beer, but we especially liked the Rye Pale- home field! The food was some of the best I've had in the Indy area recently- especially for a brewery. Our server gave us an extensive explanation of the menu items and ingredients used. It really shows that a lot of thought and love go into what they are doing here! And don't even get me started on the atmosphere. I was ready to move in and stay forever- especially if they'll feed me! The only downside that we experienced was parking was a little tricky but we forgot all about it was how perfect our experience was otherwise. The patio is gorgeous and will provide a great hangout when the weather is nice. My husband and I also said at least 10 times how much we loved the playlist. Been here a few times over the years since they opened. Menu changes frequently as we have found that items we liked on a previous visit aren't always on the menu for our next visit. Here is what I can share: Food: Often unique menu items, including usually several vegetarian options. Wife loved the Pita Nachos ($11) from the appetizer section of the menu as it was something we had never seen on a menu before, had good flavor (a little strong on the cucumber for me), and there was plenty of it on the plate. Liked the Portobello Swiss ($12), but wasn't wowed by it. The fries that I upgraded to with the sandwich were excellent. Soft Pretzel ($9) is better than your standard pretzel, but for the price it is just OK. Drink: They have a wide selection of beer on tap, but rarely have any porters or stouts. The Night Game Dunkle ($5) I had was good. No ciders on tap. My wife said the canned Ash & Elm Dry Cider ($7) was OK. Service: Our waitress, Tinleigh, was fantastic. She frequently checked in on us and offered us suggestions. Restaurant was pretty quiet on a Monday night, so not sure if this would be typical, but for this evening it was spot on. Atmosphere: It can tend to get loud inside, although it wasn't on this evening. They do have 1 TV over by the bar, but that is not what they cater to. They do have a turfed outside space for dining that worked well for the families we saw with kids that wanted to run around. Parking: It's at a premium and not overly convenient compared to other options. They have a few spots surrounding the building and a few spots in front of the restaurant on highway 32, but otherwise you are probably parking across the highway or down the way at a common gravel lot. Overall, it's fine. I'm glad it's a local option with unique menu options. However, it simply doesn't make us want to include it in our regular rotation of places we visit. read more

Beers are pretty good. Environment is cool, hip, and clean. The food is left to be desirable. It seems like the menu is trying to hard to be trendy. I'm glad that Westfield has Field. The beers are good (not the greatest local beer I've had, but good). When my family and I went, they were out of three of their beers. Of course, three of the four beers I was interested in trying were the ones that were out. I had the Union Street cocktail, which was good, but I'm not sure there was any liquor in it! We sat at the bar and the service was very slow - one of the people I was with didn't even have her drink by the time the rest of us were done with ours. I really really want to like this place because Westfield needs more of this local charm. While the thought is there and this place has potential to be great- the execution just completely falls flat. I've now been here four times over the last year. The atmosphere is great both indoor and outdoors so nothing is lacking there. Originally the menu was quite limited so I'm pleased to see that they recently increased the options. However, I'm disappointed to learn that they got rid of brunch as that was the best experience I've had at Field. On our most recent visit- they were visibly short of staff as there were plenty of tables open but not enough servers so we waited 45 minutes. I recognize that a lot of places are experiencing this so I don't want to fault them too much. What was most disappointing to see about this recent trip though is two people in our group ordered the tenderloin sandwich. Neither of these people are much to complain but the sandwiches looked visibly stale and dry even across from the table. In addition, it is now an upcharge to add fries which they both did. I visited this restaurant last time with a few girlfriends. What really impressed me the most, was the service. We walked in at 8:40 on a Monday evening, not realizing that they closed at 9pm. Once we realized that, we asked if we should go elsewhere so we weren't holding up the staff from going home. We were assured that we could take our time and enjoy. We ordered several dishes to share amongst the four of us. The wings, the deviled eggs, the lamb, the beet salad, brussel sprouts, the pretzel and a steak. Everything was very good. Their drinks were great. I was concerned when I first took a look at their online menu that it was beer only, but I was pleasantly surprised that not only did they offer a full bar, but they had a specialty cocktail list that was unique and delicious! They also did not rush us in the least. I think I was more rushed just because I hate keeping people at work late. Heck, I don't like to work late, why should they! This is a great setting for grabbing some beer and tasting some great food while sitting in a cool, new setting. The food was as much a draw for me as the idea of a new brewery since the chef who prepared the menu for Field Brewing is the same guy who ran Cerulean at the Alexander Hotel. Good stuff! Okay, the parking is a little sparse and if you come at rush hour, getting across SR32/Main St can be a little challenging, but it's worth it! Note that the entrance to their parking is on the west side of the building....the east side is an Exit Only. There is also street parking and community lot a block to the west. The building is actually set up as two buildings with a astroturfed patio in between. The main building on the west end houses the brewery, the kitchen, a bar, and the main dining room. The smaller building on the east end has a casual room on the main floor where the future breakfast and lunch crowd can relax, and a downstairs room which can be reserved for private parties up to about 50 people. (see photos) The breakfast and lunch are being developed and staff are being hired, so it shouldn't be too long before those options become available. The patio consists of a large shaded seating area for those nice weather days. Next to the dining area is an area that has a bocce court (on the turf) and an oversized Connect4 game. The bocce game even has a tape measure for those diehards who like to settle which ball is closest. ha! The beer offerings were limited at this point with only four options: Our Lightest Ale (pilsner 4% 25 IBU); Second Wind (Kolsch 4.7% 23); Centerfield (Pale ale 5.6% 30); and Lollygagger (English Style Bitter 5.1% 40). Although they don't have official "flights", they do offer $2 short beers (4 oz each). I went with one of each shorties and found all of them quite good. Okay, I hear those IPA fans crying already, but I'm sure they will come up with something soon. In the meantime, don't short yourself on trying some nice tasting beers. There is no law saying you HAVE TO drink only one kind of beer. Diversity is great! And finally, the food. There are some delicious items that my wife and I tried. There were a couple little glitches, but nothing that wasn't correctable by simply mentioning them to my waitress who did a great job. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. I started with a side of Brussels Sprouts while my wife ordered some Sweet Potato Wedges. The sprouts were al dente in the middle, but had those delightful blackened edges and were served with bacon cubes and a maple dressing. Great flavor though I would have preferred the maple on the side since I like my blackened leaves to be crispy instead of a bit soggy from the dressing. The wedges come with lime yogurt, mint, and a house hot sauce which added some spice, but wasn't too hot. Not sure if you can adjust the heat levels, but my wife who doesn't usually care for hot sauce found the heat level manageable and the wedges tasty. She also ordered a small plate of grilled chicken wings as an entree that comes coated in a spicy garlic sauce, fresh herbs, and a parm ranch dip on the side. The chicken isn't breaded. It is grilled which allows the roasting flavor, very deep and savory, to come through. She likes a bit more crunch on her chicken. I found them delicious! I ordered a Ricotta Gnocchi for my entree. It was served with grilled corn, black truffle, basil, and sliced cherry tomatoes. The gnocchi was light and had a buttery, salted taste that went with the roasted flavor of the corn and other ingredients. Definitely a keeper! To finish off, we went with the Apple Galette which is definitely shareable. If you aren't familiar with a galette, its like an open topped pie with the edges folded over the pie filling a couple inches around the perimeter. The apples came with salted caramel, pecans, and a little whipped cream. Nice! and enough to fill my belly completely! There may be a few growing pains and limitations to the beer production this early in the business' development, but everything is there for this to become a great brewery AND restaurant. We paid several visits to Field during the summer months when we could sit outdoors. But then we heard that they started offering brunch...so we HAD to pay them a visit! There was plenty of distance between tables and the staff was masked up - so we felt very comfortable. I started my meal off with a spicy Bloody Mary and it was fantastic! I also tried one of their own house brewed beers and it was wonderful. For my entree I chose avocado toast with a side of smoked trout. It was delicious, but as you can see, there was a lot of oil on the plate which was a little disconcerting.. They also had a few of their holiday beer selections left that they made available around Christmas time So I picked up a few cans to go. Our family played dominoes and enjoyed the slow pace. For those complaining about slow service....it's like that at many places nowadays. I came here with my family for the first time a few days ago. We got there at 4:30, not realizing the dinner menu didn't start until 5 so we ordered the lamb ribs appetizer and beers to start. I am so glad we ordered the lamb ribs! They were so tender and delicious. My striped bass entree was good, but I'll be coming back just for those ribs! Parking is a bit tricky. So I was expecting a brewery and discovered an ambitious multi tasking destination. There were six brews on the beer menu, and we sampled the Pilsner, Kolsh and Brown Ale. They were fine but not memorable. The food is outstanding. We went for mainly sides as to sample the most we could. The deviled eggs were spicy and interesting with nduja. The lamb ribs with chimmichurra sauce was amazing. Fingerling potatoes with a dill type sauce yummy. Grilled broccolini with feta also great. I had the beer cheese chili and it was satisfying and had a nice kick to it. Interesting drink menu and nice wine selection. The middle deck area was a sunny place to sit and looked like fun with its bocce court. Nice service. They also have a full coffee bar. This place looks incredible! The outdoor space is beautiful and the indoor space equally fantastic. They have a garden out front that I hope will produce a variety of freshness for craft cocktails. We were in Westfield for an appointment and decided to drop by for quick drink. Parking is a little tight in back so we parked on the street out front. A server sat us, brought us water and gave us our menus...and then we waited. 5 minutes ticked by and no one approached the table. I made eye contact with the server who had sat us and who had a table directly behind us, but she didn't appear to be our server. I made eye contact with another server in our section and she did not approach us either...another 5 minutes ticked by. We were one of 5 tables in the section granted two were large parties of 6-8 people with one finishing and one just getting their food as we waited. Another 5 minutes ticked by....I finally decided to go to the bar and order drinks. The solo bartender was nice, but let's discuss the drinks. I had a French oak Old Fashioned. Others had a Garden Smash and a Reunion (beer), my MiL had a diet cola (Virgil's...no coke products). The drinks were incredible! My Old Fashioned was really good and I went back for a second. I took a sip of my wife's Garden Smash (gin drink) and it was equally awesome. My SiL enjoyed her beer. The Virgil's cola...my MiL said it wasn't great, but better than pepsi...LOL. When I went back to the bar to pay the bill, the 4 adult beverages and the cola came to $112...so naturally I looked at the ticket and found that there were multiple drinks and food on that table that we did not order. I explained it to the bartender and she quickly got the manager to make the corrections which adjustments to $50. I tacked on a $10 tip and we were out the door. The extra stuff on the table may be the reason no one approached us to take an order. Each server may have thought it was someone else's table...we'll give them a mulligan on this. The space is great, the food menu looks really good and of course the beverages we sampled were fantastic. While we were there we made reservations for a couple weeks from now for 8 of us so we'll see if they can redeem themselves on general guest service. My sister just moved to Westfield and this was one of the first places we visited. We kept driving by and it is so beautiful from the outside. There isn't much parking close by, but it was nice enough to park down 32 and walk. This was one of the first places I visited during Covid and I felt extremely comfortable. We were seated outside with one other table that was about 10 feet away from ours. The drinks, the beer, the food, oh my! I really cannot day enough good things about Field Brewing. They were the first restaurant we went to when we moved to Westfield and everyone was so friendly and helpful. I love that certain things remain on the menu but that they have rotating items as well. Their cocktails are all well balanced and thought through. I also enjoy that they brew their own beers - makes for fun conversations! The outdoor area is great for grown ups and kids, so we plan to take advantage of it once things aren't as crazy. LOVE this place. My husband and I just moved to the area and we come here at least once a week. We love sitting outside and feel safe out there due to COVID. However, one of the employees who served us one time about a month ago was not the best at wearing her mask. She actually leaned in and took her mask off to talk to me. I'm immunocompromised and really didn't feel safe then. Honestly, it's the only reason I'm giving 4 starts instead of 5. If I could do 4.5 I would. It just bothered me during the circumstances. This is one of my absolute favorite places. They have a seasonal, rotating menu and a good variety of both healthy and comfort food options. They brew their own beer, which is always top notch. (They had a chocolate thing last summer that I dreamt about, and I just had their apple crisp. Holy moly, ya'll. Perfection.)
