They are not your douchey commercialized surf shop. They also are very responsive on the phone if you have any questions. Even years back, I had some questions regarding their wetsuits and surfboards and they really take the time to help me out in-person and over the phone. ET is well-known among surfers and is trustworthy. Prices are fair and competitive. It is super rare and unheard of to discount wetsuits/ have sales for wetsuits but they do here at ET! They have a huge selection of wetsuits and gear here. I always leave here happy and excited to surf.

Anyway, I bought my first (well, my only) surfboard from Adrian -- A Phase One epoxy 7'6" funboard "Blue Classic Stripe" for a great deal (board, bag and leash) and I love it. It's the best board for me - perfect size and it fits my needs as a major beginner/kook/novice... que girl-term for Barney. Adrian represents five local shapers from Southern California, cutting down on the costs of your board, but never sacrificing quality. He's got a crazy amount of stock to meet your surfing (even non-surfing) needs - wetsuits, fins, board racks, booties, leashes, fun/long/short/indo boards, travel accessories, skateboards, body boards, watches, clothing, backpacks, etc. etc. the list goes on. He even has used surfboards available and can even hook it up with a CUSTOM board that'll fit your specifications (color material design shape etc)! Super knowledgeable, helpful, surfs himself and understands the boards and gear that he sells. He might not tell you this, but he's a top notch shaper himself although he doesn't talk much about it. This is a local store that deserves support. They've got killer stock of epic surfboards and clothing. It's the kind of place you can go in, have a drink or a coffee, talk story and look at some clips and some of their old boards they have on the wall. Definitely deserves some hype and some credit -- they've been around for a long time and in this economy it's important to support these guys.
