    Veggie bowl

This is my second time getting Feta and it's absolutely amazing. I love how much space they have so you can study and eat a meal or grab something to drink. The staff is always really nice and gives good suggestions. I got the veggie bowl because I wanted the falafel. AMAZING. The bowls are extremely filling and have such great taste.

My husband and I were in town on a little weekend trip and I wanted something a bit more fresh and healthy for dinner. We found Feta Kitchen and Café on Yelp and decided to stop in. Sadly, they were out of one of the items we were hoping to try (feta grilled cheese), but we got there layered Mediterranean dip and it was absolutely delicious. Really great value and amount of food for $10. It might seem like a lot to pay $10 for pita chips and dip, but the bowl was packed and we were able to eat from it twice. Just a warning, the sauce on top is spicy. You might want to get it on the side. If I lived close, I could see myself being a frequent visitor of Feta Kitchen. They have a pretty huge menu and offered delicious sounding smoothies. Oh, and it's absolutely adorable inside. So aesthetic.

I thought the inside of Feta was cute! It was a little confusing to see where the line was for the kitchen versus the cafe but thankfully some visuals and seeing people helped lol. You can make your own dish but my boyfriend and I ordered off the menu. I wish I got a picture of the fries but they were amazing!! I also liked the gyro I got but it was kind of hard to pick up and eat. I appreciated the amount I got though and it was very filling. It was definitely a nice casual place to eat.

Great options but underwhelming flavor on the baba ghanouj - lacked the traditional smokiness and wonderful eggplant texture! The falafel was dry and grainy, lacked moisture - which means overcooked and faulty batter. We got the mezze plate and it was wonderful! Enjoyed the mixes of whipped feta with skhug.

A Bloomington hidden gem on the south side of town, probably the BEST post workout meal you can get in the area. Super interesting menu with Mediterranean style bowls, smoothies, and shakes. Never tried the drinks so I'll speak on the bowls. The create your own style is very similar to a cava or chipotle but the ingredients here are super unique! I'm A big fan of the Israeli salad, and pickled red onion for veggies and Amba and skhug for spreads. It's reasonably priced for a generous amount of food and is super healthy! Only downside is the protein is a tad underwhelming- falafel is bad, grilled chicken is eh and the gyro meat is the best here but still not gonna blow you away. They have around 6-7 protein options.

My friend and I walked to feta today because the weather was beautiful. We each order the gyro flatbread sandwich. The menu seemed a bit pricey, but the portion size was huge ! There were so many flavors packed into this dish - from the well-seasoned meat to the crunchy, pickled turnips. I definitely recommend giving this place a try. They had so much more to offer, including smoothies and baked goods. I will definitely be back for more !

The food is great here, I love the chipotle-style greek food. Atmosphere is also great, there are lots of windows leaving the room filled with natural light in addition to the posh decor. Only complaint is service, both ladies that helped serve me were unhelpful to my questions and were short and rude when I asked if I could do half and half meats. Overall this place is worth a try, I will order online next time though..

They also have paletas (Mexican popsicles), aguas frescas, flavoured cappuccino, crepes, tortas and more sweet and savoury Mexican snacks. I've had tons of gourmet ice cream, and this was up there with the best of them. I wanted to try one of the less common Mexican flavours but lots sounded good, and they let me sample a few. I sampled the ron con pasas/eggnog with raisins and queso fresco, and both were really good but I decided to get a scoop of queso fresco. I expected it to be like a cheesecake flavour but it was a little different in a way that's hard to put my finger on, so I can only advise you give it a try if you're curious. Besides the flavour being very interesting, the ice cream itself was fantastically creamy. Their homemade waffle cone was also very good. I also got esquites and horchata while I was there. The esquites cup was pretty good but didn't particularly stand out to me. I would advise mixing it a little before eating so you're not getting spoonfuls of mayo off the top with the first few bites. The horchata was great - smooth flavour with lots of cinnamon. The shop is very nicely decorated. There are a few tables and even a swing inside and outside. It looked clean inside. The people were very nice! I would love to come back even though it's across town! I would be interested in trying out their other desserts but it'll be hard to pass up on that ice cream.

Wow! The Chocolate Moose Moved!…read more Who knew? Not me that's for sure! What can I say is that I was desperate for Ice Cream. And not just 'any' Ice Cream' either. But I wanted the ice cream only 'the moose' has. It was one of those moments after 10 pm at night, and I was without wheels, wondering how I was gonna get a little satisfaction for this craving I seem only to have late at night while having no transportation. Ironic, ( kinda like my nose itching every time I get my hands in dishwater). Perhaps you can relate... maybe not. Anyway I am a 'local' here in Bloomington, which is to say I've lived here almost all my life, ( except for those 'lost years' in Indy.... wherever they went.), Where DID they go? Anyway, I sure can remember the Chocolate Moose, as I'm sure many can, where it once stood in its original location at 401 S Walnut Street, in a tiny little A-frame building, which was actually located in a rather inconvenient spot if you think about it, although I doubt that ever affected it's business negatively. To be honest I had thought the Chocolate Moose just went out of business and closed down. This was just what I gathered when I pulled up with my Granddaughter to get Ice Cream as we had done many times before and the place was just... gone... like it never even existed. Was I in the wrong place? I felt lost, betrayed even. , Why didn't anyone tell me? Am I the only one that didn't know they didn't shut down, but simply relocated? And why did no one find this information newsworthy or important enough to mention? this was a part of our lives, for Chrissakes! My kids and I, trips with their gramma when she was still with us, rest her soul... More than that, it's a pice of history, a place of nostalgia, of good memories... how could this have happened ? Well, my friends, as it turns out, 'The Moose' is very much still in business, yeah, it just relocated to a bigger, trendier, commercial space, one of the new things here in Bloomington, new apartments buildings with retail space below , and they are EVERYWHERE! New buildings that is. It bears mentioning I'm not exactly happy about that, but change happens, and they tell me 'change is good', but I've not found any personal evidence of that as yet, I'm not exactly comfortable with 'change', but whatever. I had to do this thing, so I contacted the 'delivery app' people and placed my order, I had to spend $20 to get it delivered so I made sure it was worth it and started it off with one of my personal favorites, the lemon custard, it's quite 'yellow'! And although yellow is not one of my favorite colors, LEMON is one of my favorite flavors, at least as far as Desserts are concerned. It tasted the same as I remember, and I couldn't help wonder why they didn't just keep the old location and 'expand'? But I'm like that, very curious and always wanting answers to random questions no one else concerns themselves with. This could explain the passion I have for writing, for me it's like a 'feeling validator', works better than Therapy in my opinion, but in my opinion, Ice Cream IS THERAPY! And it saves money and is yummy, what is there not to feel good about? But I didn't stop at the Lemon Custard, I decided to also try their 'Latte'. Save your money for Starbucks overpriced, selection, just as good but... well.. overpriced at $6 for a large. So feeling pretty confident I would probably want more ice cream from the moose before I would be getting sufficient transportation, I also added an ever popular 'Banana Split' to my order, struggling with the options of both 'home made' and 'soft serve' but keep in mind you are limited on the 'soft serve' somewhat. There are three (3) choices; chocolate, vanilla, and 'twist'. I opted for a custom concoction which consisted of strawberry, chocolate, and Grasshopper, ( think mint Oreo). For toppings I chose black raspberry, hot fudge, and marshmallow, I think the whip cream and nuts were extra, jus sayin. Keep in mind they also offer 'vegan' ice cream. I'm not sure what this is but I'm guessing it's for those of us that are lactose intolerant, like me. However, this only affects me sometimes so I admit I totally ignore it. I risk it much more than I should, Good thing on this particular occasion my system found my choices agreeable.

I think they normally serve soup Mon-Sat but they were out when I got there. I got a bagel with schmear, a zebra (chocolate crinkle) cookie, and one of the February specials called "Opposites Attract" which was a raspberry chai latte. Everything I got was pretty good, especially the fresh, chewy zebra cookie. They warmed it up which made it just a little gooey. The raspberry chai was an interesting combination. i wasn't completely sold on the raspberry - I didn't dislike it but probably wouldn't get it again - but I think I liked the chai itself.
