I'm into this joint. Food is fresh, location is right around the corner from my house and offers me a wonderful, healthy, veggie heavy option on the south side, which is scarce. I actually ate there for a late lunch today, and I'm glad they are open for a few more hours, because I may go there for dinner as well. Out the door, a "bowl" with lentils as my protein, +$1 for adding delicious roasted broccoli, a cup of water to drink and a tip in the jar cost $10. I suggest asking the fine folks who are making the food for suggestions...after all, when everything is made from scratch, the people making it are deeply familiar with it all. I went with a quinoa base, lentil and broccoli, pickled onion, whipped feta, and blah blah blah other awesome stuff, and literally felt better after eating. Perfect option for lunch when dining with a mixed group of diets. We had Vegan, Vegetarian, Carnivores, and Vegan (no yeast or refined sugar). Everyone had gorgeous bowls that looked fabulous and tasted even better. Every single person loved their bowls and had zero complaints about the food. Be sure to grab a paleo bar!! The only negative thing about our entire visit was customers allowing their kids to run crazy amok in the play area. Would give Feta SIX stars! The food tastes so fresh and delicious I get sad when my bowl is empty. The high prices are worth it as there is plenty of food to split between two meals. When I go I have lunch and dinner for the day. The fries are magnificent as well. Be sure to try the tabouleh as the base. Underrated. Yum! I LOVE Feta!!! It's location is a little further from campus but it's in such a cute (very nice) area of Bloomington. I always get the Monkey Business smoothie as a smoothie bowl and it always comes with fresh fruit, chia seeds, and granola on top. The employees are always friendly and make sure each bowl/plate is exactly how you like it. They have a wide range of different food items and toppings to create your own savory bowls with - almost like Chipotle in the function/concept but with much more diverse and fresh ingredients to choose from. I finally tried Feta for lunch for the first time and was very glad I did! Feta is a fast casual Mediterranean restaurant with a small coffee bar that is brand new to Bloomington. They did a great job decorating in a mid-century modern style that had a welcoming feel. The set up of the line to order reminds me of a Chipotle type feel where you pick your bowl or flat bread style, your protein, dips and spreads, and finally a large variety of toppings. I opted for a grains and greens bowl and did the kale with a little quinoa as well as some rice. I went for the gyro meat as my protein which had a great flavor. The bowls themselves are $7 and proteins are $2 to add so relatively reasonably priced for a good portion. You get to pick up to 3 dips/spreads and it's a $1 for each after 3. I chose the hummus, whipped feta, and tzatziki as the dips and all 3 were great. They add them in separate areas of the bowl making you feel like you have 3 separate meals. We went to feta on a whim after a long night of hiking - we were searching for a healthy option that would be quick and not too pricy. Feta gave us exactly what we were looking for! We arrived near close(~30 minutes before) and we're extremely pleased to see that the food options still looked fresh and the employees were happy to help us! The options are incredible - so many GF, vegan and diet-friendly choices! My favorite part was that literally everything(even the lemonade and all the sauces) is made in-house. So nice! The style is very chipotle-esque; you choose your base, protein, veggies, etc. and they build it in front of you. I have to say, though, this is one of the best versions of the build-your-own fast casual restaurants I've ever been to. I tried several sauces and chose the quinoa base and chicken protein ( the chicken is seasoned delightfully - lemon, heavy on the spices). I was extremely happy! I usually expect chicken options to be bland, this was everything but! Beyond the food, I really adore the atmosphere and the fact that they work hard to ensure a friendly environment for everyone. They have a neat little child enrichment zone for families and a very dog friendly patio! My pup really lived walking up and finding a huge bowl of water ready without us even having to ask. I will be returning to Feta often! The food was great, prices weren't too bad and the location is perfect. I am so excited that the Hillside/Henderson area is building up into a beautiful little commercial area. Feels like a real neighborhood joint. If you haven't yet, give Feta a try! I'm so sad to write this review! The menu sounded amazing so I couldn't wait to try this out. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be back. I ordered takeout of a bowl and the feta fries. The feta fries were a total disappointment. Very bland and didn't really taste like anything... the sauce that came with it was the same way. I was soooo sad because it sounded amazing! The bowl was just alright. Not something I would come back for to be honest. The gyro meat was just ok. There were a lot of ingredients to choose from but it didn't look fresh or appetizing. Everything seemed a bit bland to me... I don't know if I just came at an odd time or what. I didn't have a chance to try the cafe. The workers were friendly and the interior was cool. I had no problem finding delicious, fresh ingredients that fit right into my nutrition plan for the day. You can customize just about every aspect of your meal, so there's truly something for everyone. The location is walkable from Bryan Park as well as downtown Bloomington. The restaurant serves limited alcohol and has a coffee bar and small bakery display in addition to the "build your own" meal bar. There is an area for kids to play, making this a great choice for families as well. I look forward to spending an afternoon working from this location soon! read more

My wife and I checked out Feta on one of their first nights open. We shared a bowl, with delicious gyro meat, rice and lots of veggies. We wish there was a bit more meat in the bowl, but the flavor was incredible. Very fresh veggies, dips made in house including a whipped feta which is really good! The star of the evening though was the kids corner, where our ten month old could play while we ate our dinner - they even remembered to cover the electrical outlets for safety. One of the few spots in town I can order something vegan/vegetarian that's actually healthy (ie no mock meats or fried in oil) Just grains and vegetables. This was my first time at Feta. There is free on-street parking, and the restaurant was really spacious, clean, and bright. I really appreciated all the vegan options and you get a TON of food for the price. My only complaint is that I sort of got choice paralysis with the extensive menu. It took me a long time to figure out what to get and I wasn't really sure what would taste good together. Feta is my favorite place to eat in Bloomington. It's delicious and I love the ability to create my own bowl. In the picture attached it's made with a basmati rice base, shredded pork (although I normally get their delicious falafel), tzatziki, hummus, whipped feta (which is incredible), tomato, cucumber, Kalamata olives, banana peppers, feta cheese, and lemon tahini dressing. Came here with some friends for smoothie bowls. All of our bowls were very watery and soupy, like they had just taken normal smoothies and put them in a bowl instead of a cup. The service was also pretty slow, considering how there were only a few other customers in the cafe. When we finally got our bowls, they had to be reminded that we had also ordered tea and lemonade. Honestly the best things about the experience were my lemonade, the decor, and the people I came with. My friend, who had visited before, said that their falafels were good. I love this place! It's pretty much a Mediterranean Chipotle that also has smoothies, baked goods, and a large selection of drinks. Big portions for a reasonable price. You get to choose several items from each category when building a bowl, including greens and grains, dips, protein, veggies, and dressing. It's all very fresh and tasty. Today was my second visit to feta! I have driven by it many times and was always thinking about checking it out but never took the time to do so. Last week A friend of mine asked to meet for lunch there and I was so excited to try it out. It was even better than I had hoped. I was really excited to see that they a very vegan friendly. And they are allergy friendly and nut-free! I had a fallael in a pita both times and I loved it. Their house dressings are delicious. Aside from a build your own pita or bowl bar they also have a Smoothie Bar. My friend got deliciously sweet yet healthy smoothie for lunch. There are so many things I want to go back and try. They make homemade ice pops and serve Hartzell's Ice Cream. They also have a selection of craft beers. I did get an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie today and it was divine the best part is you feel healthy because it has oatmeal in it :) . I also tried a sample of their muffin top which tastes more like a dessert than a muffin so I'm sold on that too! There's so many things to try this is definitely going to be my go-to lunch spot. On top of the great food the service is amazing. Everyone is always nice and friendly. Today when I walked in the guy behind the counter, Nathan, had his jacket on and was ready to walk out for the end of his shift when he saw me. He noticed that no one else was up front at the moment so he just began to take my order and help me until the other staff member came back up front. I thought it was so sweet and above average service that he would put the needs of a customer above his own when he was already done for the day. Definitely worth checking out! Wanted to like it because it sounded good and the staff was nice, but it just wasn't good :/ the gyros are so full of stuff they are impossible to eat with the flatbread they use and the proportions of stuff is just off and the bread and meat just isn't that great :( it's also super weird that they ask for tips at checkout. read more

My husband and I were in town and I was dying for a smoothie. A real one made with fruit, interesting healthy mix ins. They make their own almond milk in house! I had the Berry Good which was delicious with a hint of cinnamon! A couple days later as we were leaving I went back for a breakfast smoothie bowl that had greens, kiwi, pineapple and more! I make a smoothie almost everyday at home using creative and homemade ingredients. I recommend this place highly! And the people were super nice! read more
