This is the original tent at Oktoberfest and the oldest tent running to date. I believe it dates back to the late 1800's and when you walk in ,you see the look is quite different, to many of the other tents. I got a table here last minute for closing evening of Wiesn and a few of our Australian visitors came along with a few locals. The tent has two levels and we were in the floor level next to the band. The music quality here is excellent and I would give it 5 stars for the entertainment for the evening. The waitress we had was really young and not attentive at all and we waited sometimes for quite a while to get a drink. She also mixed up our orders more than once and we ended up with extra beers at least twice, which we sent back ;-) The food here is quite ok. We had obatzda to start and they had one with Paprika and one without. The pork knuckle was also quite ok. The quality of the prezels were good and I would rate the food a 4. The menu is not huge but there is enough choices for most. The beer served here is Spaten and quite ok for Oktoberfest beer. The crowd was fairly mixed and we had a lot of young people on our side. A good mix of locals and tourists. The ambience for close was excellent and, I really enjoyed the evening despite the crappy service. We all got sparklers at the end for the closing song and all in all enjoyed our evening. Met some wonderful people throughout the evening and some of them I will definitely stay in touch with.

We were staying at the Charles Hotel close by and saw that this beer hall had some solid reviews and was a short walk away. Germany is not famous for it's manners so we weren't surprised when the man behind the counter was not very polite when we entered and waited to be sat, but our waiter was very polite and made up for it. It's very large on the inside, quite noisy, and was filled with very large groups. We were a couple and did not feel out of place, rather it was fun to people watch. The pricing is very fair and the portion sizes are large. They have a giant drink menu as well but I chose the lager our waiter recommended and loved it, so much so that I got two. For my dinner, I chose the sausage combo plate, which was a mix of four different sausages and honestly, each of them was great. I especially like the spicy one, but, I ate all four of them pretty quickly. This place is very casual, but also very lively and a fun place to stop in when in Munich. I would recommend to any traveler, as well as to any local.

This was our favorite restaurant in Munich. Small on the outside, but plenty of tables indoors. Both of our servers were great in their own way. One of them took the time to talk with us for quite a while, while the other one was quite comedic and encouraged us to try some Pasta mit Spargel. It was massive, but quite tasty. We would easily come here regularly.
