I went to festival foods today with a coupon for $15 off my purchase and they charged me $15 more on my receipt. Looked at the receipt and went back in and asked the question. Found out that they added a charge of $15 instead of taking it off. I wonder how many other people they are doing that to????? I actually like this store better than local competitors, they have such a wide selection and the benefits of a fresh bakery, and a hot food and and salad bar, except the salad bar, about 70% the time is out of lettuce. lettuce. I can see being out of black olives or onions, but it is out of lettuce. read more

I am going to start my review by a comparison rating. The nearest competitor to Festival Food store in my location is Piggly Wiggly. There Festival stands out way ahead of Piggly Wiggly. Produce is number one at Festival top quality and kept at its freshness and is way ahead of the competition. Meat the same can be said for that dept. way ahead and fresh fish brought in daily. The one department that I really like is the bakery. Fresh bakery and good bakery. I'd say that Festival Foods are doing a lot of things right and have some very good people working in their organization. Oh!!! don't let me forget the Deli Wow!!! I keep finding products past the expiration in dairy, frozen, natural foods, bread. I don't know if it's the store or distributor. frozen ice-cream cones with chewy not crunchy cones. I've never had an issue with frozen ice-cream cones but three times it's happened at this store in the last three month. my daughter and I now check dates. I don't shop at such an expensive store to do it's work for them . I found two products with open lids. one was a jar of pickles. It was leaking when I got to the self checkout. the bagger in the next aisle tried helping me and the cashier scolded him. While I was in the bathroom washing pickle juice off my hands the cashier put the pickles in a plastic bag and bagged it into our paper grocery bag and told my minor daughter to just take them like that and they wouldn't spill...Gross. I told the manager and he barely acknowledged how unacceptable that was and instead said, "Was everything else good though"? I found him very arrogant and dismissive. I've been a Festival foods shopper for years and years. they've always set the standard in quality. Not sure if it's new management or if Festival Foods just doesn't care about their reputation but I'm trying to shop at Walmart and Pick N Save instead because they seem to be more consistent with quality control. I shopped your store 6/01 at 12:30pm for avocados. There was not a decent one on display. They were all so over ripe they were shriveled. I would have asked the produce employee standing nearby, however she was busy restocking Roma tomatoes, picking them up out of the box and 'tossing' them into the display. read more

Yes, they may have a variety of good items. But for me it's price and service, they fall short. I was in the "they" bag lane with a cart full of items, I was about to start loading them onto the belt when a perky twit walks over and says, "I'll help you sir, in the next lane". Great I unload everything, she running them past the scanner. She's done, I pay my $90+, she disappears...where the hell is the service in that? So, I double bagged every bag, put three items in a bag and with my MOUNTAIN of bags I informed the management of my discontent and future plans. If your spending a few hundred dollars a week, spend it somewhere else, Pick & Save, Copp's, Wobbly Hog, any one of these will be seeing my money from now on. read more

As a newcomer to the community, I have not had much of a chance to comparison shop. But who needs to? It's all right here. There is a decent variety of selections. There is individualized service. I had wanted to buy Lox, and they made sure that they had Lox. In time, I may find preferences elsewhere. Hey, you too, are welcome to look around. I will say, when I did not know where to go, the prices seemed competitive, the service, especially when they all wear Green Bay Packer Jerseys, and the food, was very good. As an aside, every winter, Festival sponsors a Winter Festival of Lights show in Green Bay at their Gardens. The tickets were reasonable, and available at any Festival Foods. Well advertised, as are their coupon offerings, this store immediately impacts on this community. Well done! read more

This is a grocery store with an attached liquor store. Convenient for the shopper. Non-existent in MN. As far as the liquor store goes, great beer selection. They have lots of craft items from the region as well as national. They had Stone Arch beer from the STone Cellar in bottles. Reasonably priced. Friendly, quick service. read more

Prior to this I loved Festival Foods. Yesterday bought on sale what was labeled a whole beef fillet. I fought with the meat for an hour trying to extract all the strings. Calling this a fillet is using the term very loosely. Once cooked the meat was tough and stringy. Nowhere was there the slightest sign of a traditional fillet steak hidden anywhere in that package. $27.27 down the drain. Pick 'n Save, here I come read more

Love this store...everything is easy to find, prices are reasonable, and I can always find parking! I absolutly love the fact that they have sheets of paper that list the gluten free meats and gluten free deli products that they have...makes shopping so much easier! read more

This is my main Festival. Management has been very friendly when I had an issue with a cake I ordered. Some other staff haven't been the best but most are. Prices and deals can beat anyone in the region and I'd say their produce is usually the best. read more

Festival Foods is always a bit more expensive for a grocery store, so it's key to shop there when the items you want are on sale. Usually I come here for lunch to grab a salad for the salad bar, or something from the hot bar. These prices are reasonable and the food is always in good quality. The staff is great too! One thing I wish they would lose is the "you bag" system at checkout. I just feel it's complimentary to have a person bag my groceries for me. I like this store. The produce, deli, and meat department are what sets this store chain above the rest. Each area is jammed packed with multitudes of delicious selections from which to choose. That being said, you can have the assurance in knowing that you will absolutely not pay more anywhere else when it comes to general items. No doubt about it, this grocery store chain is expensive and their prices also sets the chain above the rest. However, the chain employs an army of people at each location, so know that help isn't too far away if you are unable to find something. Festival doesn't employ the use of a savings card and only offers sporadic select in-store sale prices, as well as weekly coupons. And speaking of coupons; always be sure to ask the cashier to scan the store flyer in case you missed a coupon. One other thing that I would like to point out is; if the store doesn't carry an item and you would like for them to carry it, go to the front desk and ask to fill out a request item slip. Most of the time, the store will honor such requests, thereby making your grocery shopping a little easier. read more

So being new to the Wisconsin area, I am unfamiliar with the laws of the land. One of such laws is the liquor law where you can't buy alcohol wine after 9 o'clock pm. When I went into festival to buy a bottle of wine, there were no signs anywhere that said they could not sell wine, the lady at the meat counter pointed out several shelves of wine bottles for me to choose from, however, it was only until I got to the checkout stand they told me that they couldn't sell me the bottle of wine and it was only 9:15. What a stupid law. Not only did the store clerk act like a jerk and he didn't have to, but without a sign anywhere... how is somebody supposed to know that they can't buy and another thing if they can't sell it to you why isn't it locked up with the liquor and it's just sitting out where you can actually pick up a bottle and take it to the checkout. I hate that store and that's not the only reason, they got rid of a lot of my organic food too.I'll find another place to shop thank you read more
