For the third time in a year, I find myself with an empty gas tank that was supposed to be auto…read morefilled by AmeriGas. The first two times they skipped us saying the tank was full, even though it was less than 20%. When I called, they blamed me and my wife for not checking ourselves and reporting it sooner. This time, they just didn't show up when scheduled. I called a few days later and informed the rep that my gas was down to 8% and our delivery didn't happen. The lady literally said "Well you're lucky it's not at 0" and had no explanation as to why my last delivery was skipped. She said "statistically you should be good for 4 more days when your next delivery is scheduled. I'll give you a reference number and put you down as an emergency case." Cool... guess what... no delivery, and we're out of gas... again. Called again, they said they'll put in a work order and it will be delivered the next day by 8pm - surprise, no delivery. I called again, they said the drivers are out and there's no way to contact them except by email, but they'll put in a work order and I should get a delivery tomorrow. Guess what... no delivery again. I called and the guy at the service center said "I have no requests or issues on file for your account", I gave him all the work order numbers and reference numbers from the previous calls and he lowered his voice and said "yeah, those aren't real - they just say that when they don't want to listen to you complain. I've put in an emergency order, but really, you'll be lucky if they come tomorrow." I just saw the gas truck deliver at my neighbor's, and then drive right past my house, so I called again because, why not - and the guy said "I'll send the driver a text and see if he can turn around." I said, "You can do that?" He said, "Yeah of course, how else would we communicate with drivers?" At this point I have no idea who is telling the truth or just not interested in listening to another unsatisfied customer. Regardless, I will happily be switching to another company.

I have been trying to get this situation fixed and get my tank back for over a week now. They tell me I need to speak to someone at customer service. Wait times are 75 minutes. When someone finally answers, they transfer me, and I have another wait time of over an hour. I leave a callback, get a call six hours later, and they tell me they'll have someone else contact me in 72 hours. They never call back. I'd drop Amerigas like a hot rock if I didn't have two other underground tanks on the ranch that they won't sell me and I can't have anyone else service by law as long as they own the tanks. If you are considering a propane service DON'T choose Amerigas if you have ANY possible alternative!

I came home today and after 30 years of paying my bill on time and having a good relationship with them they took my tank. It looks like Richard and Don run the show over there and if you complain to one about the other they were going to take your tank even if it's been a 30 year relationship. Unbelievable. No phone call, just take my tank and leave me without propane.

Then after it was filled she told me to take my suv to the store and pay. So that is what I did. But before I took it out of park. She started screaming at me about taking the ticket???? So I waited five minutes for her to fill out the ticket. Then she yelled at me about placing two cylinders in a closed vehicle and how that was illegal. I had enough. Told her I'll deal with that when the propane popo pull me over. I also had a 8 gauge yellow explosion box in the back of my suv. I was driving legal as if that would be her concern.
