Amerigas was supposed to pick up a tank in my pasture. They picked up the wrong tank, taking the…read moreone from my home. I have been trying to get this situation fixed and get my tank back for over a week now. They tell me I need to speak to someone at customer service. Wait times are 75 minutes. When someone finally answers, they transfer me, and I have another wait time of over an hour. I leave a callback, get a call six hours later, and they tell me they'll have someone else contact me in 72 hours. They never call back. I'd drop Amerigas like a hot rock if I didn't have two other underground tanks on the ranch that they won't sell me and I can't have anyone else service by law as long as they own the tanks. If you are considering a propane service DON'T choose Amerigas if you have ANY possible alternative!

Real people at Basin Coop rather than call centers. Better prices by far and better service by a mile. The final insult: After paying Amerigas's high prices for 23 years on time and without fail, they are charging me a $419 tank pickup to remove their empty tank from my property. This is a poorly run business with no concern for customers and no ethics to keep them awake at night.

I came home today and after 30 years of paying my bill on time and having a good relationship with them they took my tank. It looks like Richard and Don run the show over there and if you complain to one about the other they were going to take your tank even if it's been a 30 year relationship. Unbelievable.
