One person rides sitting, and one stands with the guide and helps steer (by leaning). We got to meet the dogs and love on them a bit which was great. Everyone was friendly and the photographer did a great job with photos. It was great not to have to worry about capturing the moment, because John had it under control. (Photo package not included.) It was a beautiful, sunny day. Even though it was 18° we were comfortable with ski gear (layers, sunglasses, hats). My toes got a bit cold but would have been better with the right ski socks! Afterwards we were served hot cocoa and cookies and warmed up in the gift and "coffee shop" trailer. A fun day!

Fresh air, good food, comfortable beds, exercise, horses and great people. Cannot say enough good things about this ranch. I was especially impressed with their commitment to the welfare of the animals, checking them over every day, and making their health and wellbeing a priority. Many of the staff there have worked for animal rescue and humane societies in the past and it shows in the care of their horses - the horses are well fed, in good condition, sweet and gentle. The place is clean and well cared for - everything was perfect. We cried when we had to leave.
