I contracted Animas Well Drilling to install an under-sink drinking water purification system for my home near Purgatory Ski Resort. If there was a choice for ZERO stars that would be my choice but that unfortunately, is not an option. I recently hired Animas Well Drilling to complete a "pre buyers inspection" for a residential well. This was my first mistake. After FOUR hours (they charge by the hour...fyi) of tinkering with every tool in their truck the owner of the company (who actually left the job two hours in) and two employees could not figure out how to work the well or the cistern pumps. They were able to give me zero information on how the well and pumps worked or even tell me that they were working at all. After the departure of the owner, the two employees remained on the phone with him continuing to figure out, I suppose. Rolling past the 4th hour on the job, the owner calls me to say that the well is collapsed and the entire system is not working requiring a more invasive work up which would need the owner's permission. The next morning, I called their office to find out what my balance would be. At this point, already feeling taken advantage of, as I did not get ANY of the information (that I was paying for!) out of the 4 hours spent with them the previous day. Within 30 seconds of the phone call, Chris and his office manager threatened to put a lien on the property if I did not come to his office immediately to pay the significant balance in person, accusing me of canceling my credit card if I were allowed to pay over the phone..... Think they may have had this happen before? After paying my $400 dollar balance, which was negotiated in half for the poor service.... I proceeded to call another well company. Within 24 hours the second inspection was done,(Which maybe took 2 hours by the way) and showed NO problems with the well. The well and cistern work great, and they even PUMP water, how wonderful!!! What a relief!! I would never recommend this "company" run by such dishonest, incompetent people. read more
