Buyer Beware! I was expecting a delivery today on a new washing machine, but received a call stating that the machine's door does not close. I was asked if I still wanted this machine, but NO I did not. The offer was to deliver it and then set up a repair date. I have dislocated shoulder, but now I am off to a laudromat to do three weeks worth of wash. I wanted to support local business, but this business is very unreliable and wanted to scam me into buying a defective machine. NO apologies, nothing - just deal with our incompetance. No offer either to take money off the machine or apologize and give me a 100-200 credit on a new machine. A good business practice would be to do that. Colton was very rude and I think at 3:45 when I received the call about the machine, they just wanted to leave. Horrible customer service. Again, STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! read more

Had an unfortunate issue with a refrigerator leaking water. Made a call did a follow up and spoke to an awesome lady in the office. Apparently my chat request / online info had gotten lost they sincerely apologized profusely. They then scheduled an early appointment the tech was extremely knowledgeable and prompt. He quickly went to work repaired fridge and even took on another issue raised on a question about our laundry room . He helped us out with that as well. The experience with Ferrari's Appliance was wonderful. Emily (your sales person) seemed knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We ended up buying the floor model, which was in mint condition. Thus saving us quite a bit. The delivery was fantastic. I can't say enough about Aaron and Scott. They couldn't do enough for me. The set-up, they installed and checked out the dish washer and showed me how to use it. Very polite and knowledgeable people. And they answered every question I asked in a very professional way. I requested Ferraris appliance to come and repair my washing machine. The technician arrived, determined what the machine was saying was wrong with it through a code system, and proceeded to tell me that I needed to pay $600 to repair a $400 washing machine. Of course I was obligated to pay them their hundred dollar visit fee. Needless to say, I did not have him do the work. Subsequently ordered a $25 motor, removed The old motor, installed the new motor. Now it works fine. Ferraris is a dishonorable establishment who hurt their customers instead of helping them. I will never do business with them under any circumstances in the future. read more

I was shopping around to replace my through the wall air conditioner. I've never been to Ferrari's so I decided to include them in my search. What I found was they are a very competitively priced local business with knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful employees. Tanya answered all my questions over the phone and remembered me when I went to their store. Won't find that at the big box stores. The air conditioner arrived on time as promised and was installed quickly by Will. He tool the time to double check everything and to make sure everything was working properly. This was our first time buying from Ferrari's Appliance, since in the past we had always bought from another company like Sears and the Home Depot. However, recently we weren't happy due to the Home Depot not installing their appliances correctly and Sears getting out of business around this area. Their appliances were also not as good of quality as you would expect! Because of this, we finally decided to try out this local appliance store in Naugatuck, and we are very happy that we did! For starters, the sales manager Tanya was very kind, polite, and helpful when it came to helping us decide on which gas stove we should get and making the buying process easy for all of us! We were especially happy to get the extended warranty for only $99 for 3 years, which would have definitely cost a lot more at other places! When it came to installation, William and Paulo did a terrific job overall by easily converting the stove to use propane and checking everything out before leaving! They even spent a good amount of time showing us how to use the new stove and making sure that the stove was correctly leveled, which we were surprised to see since the other companies wouldn't care as much when it comes to leveling appliances! We love the look of our new stove so much that we would hate to mess it up by cooking on it! We had such a great experience with Ferrari's that we will definitely come back again and buy more appliances! We will also highly recommend Ferrari's to our friends as well! CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY!!! Our Bosch washing machine was down for a month or more...kinda lost track. Called 2 repair shops before Ferrari's. One repair shop broke it more...thanks.... The other was an old timer who came out to look at it..and thats what he did...look... and gave me some advice...hey thank you too. We were ready to throw in the towel. I was down to my last skivvies a couple of times and we had to go to the laundry mat...fun. Well, the third time is a charm and I can't believe it...also cant believe I'm actually writing a review either. Let me tell you...CALL FERRARI'S FIRST. Ask for Billy. He was an unbelievable tech. So in closing...I cant stop smiling and I'm going to do more laundry......since my laundry basket smells like a hot August New York dumpster .... cuz I guess New York dumpsters smell worse...I don't know.. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Their sales are comparable if not better than large department stores. My husband and I bought the Frigidaire Gallery set for our newly remodeled kitchen. They helped us stay in budget and had two rebates that we were eligible for. Jen, the manager, and Stacey, the owner, were so helpful and followed up with us quickly with questions and issues that we had. Called Ferrari's for a price..$40.00 more then the depot! Here's the value of a small town appliance store. They came when they said they would, the 2 guys that came showed me everything about how the stove worked and, they were very careful bringing the stove in and, taking the old one away. Water pump/ motor in my Bosch Dishwasher went bad and they came out to fix it. Repairman was friendly and knowledgeable, but they charged $225 for the service call and part. Less than 6 months later the same part went bad again. I called to inquire to see if it was covered since they were just here and I was told that they will only cover a service call for 30 days and a part for 90 days. I'll be taking my business elsewhere in the future. read more

Our frigde broke overnight, and by morning the dairy had spoiled- we called Ferrari's for a repair on a Kenmore Fridge- and they showed up at our house within an hour, fixed the thermostat, showed me the broken parts, helped me sort through my food and get rid of the spoiled items, and even helped me sop up the post defrost puddle on the floor. We have used Ferrari for many appliances for many years. Always had great experiences however they are not the same business any more. We purchases a microwave and refrigerator on November 17, 2018 and the microwave was installed on November 21, 2018. The next day the microwave no longer worked. They came to fix the microwave on December 23, 2018 and told us that the motor to the fan needed to be replaced. The repair man Billy said he would contact us that day to let us know when they could get the parts to fix it. Of course we never heard from him and needed to contact them again. Called the store to find out when my new microwave would be fixed. Was told that it was whirlpool that was holding up the service. The woman was unpleasant and not concerned about our new broken microwave. Contacted whirlpool who had no record that the parts were even ordered. It is now January 7, 2019 and we still do not have a working microwave. The refrigerator arrived December 18, 2018 a month after we purchased it. It has racks instead of shelves. I had picked out the refrigerator in the store but when I asked why they had racks instead of shelves the woman told me I ordered it online and that was how the model came. Well, I went to the store and at no time was I told that it had racks. Waited a month to receive a refrigerator I do no like. Never once did Ferrari's apologies or try to make this experience better. Our dryer just broke, so off to Home Depot we went and within two days a new one was delivered and installed. July 2015 set up in home service on my washer. Ferrari's charged me $175.00 for parts and repairs . Ferrari's Tech came back with the parts and claimed I needed another $200 in parts.. I declined as who would spend $375.00 on a 5 year old washer. Ferraris Offered a small in store credit only and charged me the full $175.00 Very poor service.Not customer friendly. I'm writing this on behalf of my elderly mother who isn't hip to the Internet, but who loves Ferraris! Mom has been trading at Ferraris for over 20 years now and has recommended them to anyone asking about kitchen appliances, without hesitation. About 3 years ago, she asked for a repairman to come out and help her assess her old washing machine. He advised her that since it was so old (and since Mom's living on a fixed income), it wouldn't make sense to repair it, and that she should just wait until it gave up the ghost and then buy a new one. She really appreciated that advice. In following it, she got another 3 years of use out of it. And of course, she bought not only a new washing machine, but also a new range (which was on it's last legs), both from Ferraris. I should mention that, at the time, I was working at Sears and could have gotten her my employee discount. But she deferred to Ferraris because she wanted to support the small business-owners in the area - and because Stacey (the owner) had always been so nice to her. Oh, and I should also mention that the service guys (who delivered & installed the new appliances, as well as took away the old ones), couldn't have been nicer - and they were very good at what they do. Anyway, my advice: do not overlook Ferraris when you need new appliances (or old ones repaired). I was surprised that Stacey's (Ferraris') prices were very competitive. And just as importantly (if not more so), they're "good people" - important to consider in the long-run, when your alternative is a 'big box' store. read more

Purchased what we were led to believe was a new Electrolux French Door Refridgerator on June 27, 2014. Nine months later the ice maker stopped working. The service tech informed us that our "new" fridge was actually a 2009 model. After further investigation, Electrolux informed us that in May of 2013, Ferrari's Appliance Center was paid full retail price by Electrolux to SCRAP the Refrigerator I bought as new! I found this place from the laundry mat down the street. It is a family run business and they were great to work with. My old washer broke and I had a really bad experience with another appliance store, so I was a little leery about purchasing from a place I had not used before. When I called, the owner answered the phone and answered all my questions. Although I purchased the washer sight unseen, I am so happy with my purchase. They said that they would deliver in a 1 hour window and they did. The delivery guys are the owner's son and his friend and were very careful and very helpful. I bought and had installed Maytag dishwasher here. An old dishwasher was removed. I paid $125 initially for installation. It was improperly installed under my granite countertop , which was there with the old dishwasher also. The screws were not properly anchored causing the door to close improperly resulting in a flood of my hardwood kitchen floor and when I opened the door and pulled out the bottom rack the entire unit fell forward out it's spot . It took 2 days to get a serviceman out here. Only 1 screw could be located and I was charged an additional $74.45 to have the screws installed again. The store manager was very unpleasant to deal with also. I would not recommend this store to anyone who needs installation done. read more

Terrible to deal with. I purchased a new dishwasher and it was to be installed where my old dishwasher (a 17 year old one at that) was. The installer would not or could not install it. The dishwasher never come off their truck. When I went to cancel the order, I was told there would be a restocking fee. They wouldn't credit my credit card but would write me a check. I purchased a refrigerator a few years ago and I purchased an extended warranty at the same time. Within a few months the soda can holder on the door broke and I was told that the warranty did not cover that part because it was cosmetic. 1 year later, still within the extended warranty period, the seal on the door stopped working. I called Ferrari's and talked to the owner who told me that was a cosmetic part and not covered under the warranty. She told me that the cost to replace that part was $50 for the part and $150 to install. I purchased 2 new seals for $40 and installed them in 5 minutes. I am now in the process of replacing all my appliances and I will not go to Ferrari's to purchase. I would rather get them from Home Depot! read more

If you enjoy terrible condescending customer service, don't care how long it takes or how much you pay this is the place for you. After waiting 10 day longer than promised for a pump to fix my washing machine it arrived with one of the attachments broken. I was told it would take another 10 days to order a new one but he could rig it to work. So not only did I pay full price for the broken part but was charged the labor to rig the piece so it would fit. The technician was pleasant enough but misinformed as to the front offices policies, basically once they have your money they forget about you. read more
