    Tenant announces refrigerator is failing, who to call? I live 650 miles away. 2 calls to Allstar got it done. Chris diagnosed the age and imminent demise of the unit, gathering details and measurements. John narrows replacement choices, and suggested a Whirlpool bottom freezer that fits and has a reliable track record, AND what? They have one with a minor scratch deliverable right away. Inventory of this small size is tight, especially in August, so I'm relieved. Prices quoted are competitive, and these guys service what they sell. Pam sent receipt for my files right away too. Recommend them highly

    No where does it Charge for service fee

    Horrible customer service and owner. They took a deposit and ordered a part almost 2 months ago and couldn't get the part. The refuse to refund our deposit and claim it was a "service charge". Steer clear of this company because they are crooks and take advantage of people during times where we should be kind and giving.

    I called for a service appointment. I asked what the charge would be for them to come out .I was…read morequoted 159.00 I said OK. when the technician came out he said the problem wasn't the Machine but the drain and I should call a plumber which was fine. Time to paid the bill and he quoted me over 200.00. I told the technician that I was quoted 159.00. He said because it was a front loader it was 189.00 plus tax. I feel that I was taken advantage of because I am a women and a senior citizen. I will never call or do business with Marc's appliances again. I don't like being cheated.

    My experience was classic bait and switch. Ordered a 48" range online at an excellent (but not…read moreunique) price, website claimed it was in stock and that I would need to pick it up at their West Hartford warehouse. Got a confirmation E-mail stating order would be "processed once payment was confirmed" (odd, since CC payments are generally automated these days). Next day, I got what appeared to be an automated E-mail (no name or phone number, DoNotReply sender) stating that their "policy" was that I would need to come to their store in person to confirm identity & credit card, and that the item was a special order (not in stock after all, I guess!). Since it's a 4-hour drive each way, going there twice defeats the purpose of an online order... When I called to try to clear things up, "Jack" told me the item was not in stock and that there appeared to be a pricing error (more alarm bells start up in my head). After consulting with his manager, he did call me back, to tell me that the part number is not on the Kitchenaid site, so they can't even order it, and they don't have it in stock. I just went back on their site, and they still list that exact part number listed (KFID948SJP), but at a much, much higher price, of course. When I expressed my displeasure and asked to speak to a manger, it went to voice mail. The only excuse offered was "the website is pretty automated". I get that mistakes happen, but reputable stores make some effort to make it right with the customer. A retail store is responsible for their advertised pricing.

    I took to Facebook to write about my experience with Carlos and the previous company…read more "Same Day Appliances" wrote back and said they wanted to resolve the uninstalled dishwasher. The following is a consolidation of my dealings with Carlos and Same Day Appliances for the second time. Carlos called early in the week to schedule an appointment for Wednesday @ 4PM sharp. He asked me for my address again? I also told him that I never received an owners manual and to please bring one. Then on Wednesday afternoon, Carlos called me to stretch the appointment time from 4-5. Once again, Carlos asked me for my address! 5 PM came, then 5:20 and not a call or text from Carlos to explain if he was coming or not. I texted him and he said he was four minutes away. He arrived 20 minutes later at my door. The appointment went from 4 to 5:45 which put me in the position of missing my daughters game. I asked Carlos for the owners manual. He said he forgot to bring it. The tech also had an incoming personal call in which F-bombs were repeatedly dropped. I could clearly hear from the next room. I very much wanted to leave a great review and allow Carlos to redeem himself. He tossed the opportunity away again! 10-26-19 Went to wash the kitchen floor several days ago and found that the installer "gouged" my hard wood floor.

BOTTOM LINE: Stay far far away from this place and if you're already involved with them do not believe a single word they tell you. If there are any issues or something doesn't benefit them, they will dodge you (which seems to be a running theme in their reviews). And they also clearly do not care about the well-being of animals. Read my story and associated images below for more details: They greet you with a smile and treat you like a friend, but once you purchase, all bets are off. I ordered a washer, dryer, and a fridge. A sizable order and the deal wasn't even that great after saying they would get me a good deal on the fridge for bundling. (The fridge was only $50 lower than the lowest online price.) Day of delivery Carlos called me thinking I was a different Mike. Upon realizing that I was a different Mike he told me he wouldn't be making my delivery that day and would deliver the next day. I told him that was OK because I was off work the next day. The next day his people showed up around 7pm as their last delivery of the day, despite living right up the street from them. They do the delivery in the dark with an eager energy to get out and go home. To make a long story short, they chipped my laminate floor and the fridge didn't fit in its spot so they ripped out the liner by the floor to gain enough space to push it in, but they ripped out more than I approved and left it that way with an exposed nail. Shortly after they were in their truck and driving down the road before I could even discuss it with them. They were in such a hurry; they left their hand truck and tape measurer at my place. That was just the beginning. I told him I had a young dog and this exposed nail was a real hazard. Carlos came to look at it and this time personally measured my fridge space (and while he was there told me he was in the middle of a remodel because his delivery guys didn't anchor a fridge to a client's wall and it destroyed her kitchen). He said he understood, but made no real effort to get over to fix it, putting my dog at risk for nearly 3 WEEKS. In addition to the fridge fiasco, I told him that the washer was shaking violently and it probably needed to be leveled or maybe there was a shipping bolt still in there since that's what the manual said could cause it. He told me that wasn't the case because his guys did the install, but sure enough, when I pulled it out myself I found a shipping bolt still in the back. Hardly worth the installation fee and could have damaged the unit. I went down and picked a fridge that would be a better fit, since I had their swap warranty. He said he would be over to deliver it that afternoon. I waited and waited and waited and he was a NO CALL/NO SHOW! Remarkably unprofessional. Carlos became impossible to get a hold of, dodging my calls and messages. Anytime I would call, he would text back that he was busy and that his contractor was too old to come early morning and later after work. He then said that his schedule and my work schedule was causing "operational friction". I have 2 days off in the middle of the week; it should not have been difficult at all, and to put any blame on the paying customer is astounding. Unable to do it himself, he said he would have some guy named Craig call me to handle it. I never heard from Craig. Still not sure if he exists. Fed up with this after 2 weeks, I called relentlessly asking if I should get my lawyer involved until he gave in and we scheduled to have it taken care of the next week. Why the next week? BE ADVISED, they only do deliveries on Mondays and Tuesdays. I asked and apparently, the Same Day Appliance name only applies to those who pay a "premium" to have it delivered same-day. I think they rent their truck. They should call themselves Next Month Appliance, if you ask me. However, my initial delivery was on a Wednesday. When I brought this up to Carlos he said he had been making decisions that he was getting in trouble for. Carlos claims to be part owner, so why he thinks he can get in trouble for making decisions is beyond me. May be worth noting that Carlos is a 20-something year old who may not have enough business experience under his belt. This time they actually showed up, delivered the new fridge that also didn't fit after they measured it themselves, reinserted the lining, but told me that there was nothing they could do about the chipped floor. I ended up sawing off part of my cabinets so the new fridge would fit. We will be getting a quote to see how much the flooring will cost to fix and then decide if we want to take further action.
