None of the wines really stuck out to me in terms of taste or character.

We had our wedding reception at the winery last August and I cant recommend this place more! The management was so receptive to our ideas and vendors, and worked with us from a distance. You just have to keep in mind that this is their barrel room and their barreling business is a priority. So luckily the date we ended up with didn't interfere with the barrel schedule but keep that in mind when you are booking and if you have a date in mind already. We were able to have our ceremony on the beach (through the Crowne Plaza services) and then had our reception here (it was about a 15 minute drive for our guests). We got the beach wedding and an amazing reception for very affordable price in our opinion. There was plenty of parking at Four Brix to accommodate our 130ish guests and vendors. We were able to have our caterer set up the buffet (choose a caterer that does not need on sight facilities), there was even space for a photo booth. They do not have a dance floor but we arranged the tables around a open space (if you chose to rent one I'm sure it would be no problem, but we didn't see the need). There are also a couple back rooms that we were able to use to put our stuff and a side door that we could make a grand entrance through. They also having lighting set up so that you can change the colors to suit your theme, the lighting completely transforms the industrial looking space. The staff was great, they set up two bars to our guests convenience. The space has two large roll up doors which we opened up by the end of the night to get the cool breeze in. There isn't exactly a great view out the doors however it was very convenient when we wanted to do a sparkler send off. our guests filed out of the roll up doors to the back of the building where there was plenty of space to do the sparkler send off safely. All in all, we are so glad we found this gem of a venue!!!!! read more

The winery is in an industrial area; on the backside of a building; not so easy to find. There service was friendly and attentive but the wine was just...hmmm ok! read more

I was in the other night for wine and music the concept was fun - bring dinner enjoy wine and listen to music in the barreling room. Good times I think were had by all! read more

Visited the first time for a friend's birthday. They had the barrel room set up nicely for our party. The staff was friendly and very attentive. There is a nice atmosphere here and the rest of the crowd looked like they were enjoying themselves. Not being a wine expert by any means, I gladly drank the red wine blend, Scosso, that the group was trying and enjoyed it. They even did some barrel tastings for us. First rate service and staff. Looking forward to returning to sample some of there other offerings. read more

A wonderful place to relax and enjoy some extremely good wines. Not only are their wines outstanding, the ambiance is very relaxing and comfortable. We hosted a large gathering there recently and all in attendance were impressed with their experience. Karen, one of the owners, was delightful to work with and she made sure that everyone enjoyed good wine and had a good time. Good wine, good folks and good atmosphere = a great place to go. read more

Enjoyed our time here. Michelle was very welcoming and told us about places to try and things to do, 2nd Sunday Supper at Plan B and things to do in Ventura. The tasting rooms is very comfortable. They have gluten free pizzas and crackers to go with their cheese trays. The wine was delicious starting with the viognier, "Smitten" to their son, "Zeductive." They have a variety of wines to try. You should stop by and give it a try. read more

Great wine & very friendly. We came with a our niece and she was comfortable playing with their dogs. Will be back.

You wouldn't think you could find a place as good as Four Brix in an industrial center - the wines are excellent - the people are friendly and we have a mighty fine time every time we go in! The wine club is just two pickups a year and what a party they throw every time! So, save a few miles (by not going all the way to Los Olivos) next time you have a free day. Stop and sip responsibly in Ventura! Cheers! read more

Wine was great and the owners treat you like a friend. My wife and I had been out on a boat all day so I was wearing a beat up sweater and she had coffee spilled on her shirt and they still treated us great. A little pricey but I don't mind paying for this kind of wine and service! read more

Oh my gosh, what can I say, my wife and I were enjoying a day driving around in Cali, when we saw a sign for a winery, we couldn't find that one so we decide to make getting a bottle of wine our quest. SIRI led us to Four Brix... Imagine our disappointment when a sign said they were closed for a private tasting later... But door was open so I thought I'd ask for a quick bottle while my wife waited in car (thus completing our quest). They invited me in, insisted I go get my wife, offered us a tasting, showed us around and even took time for a picture or two. Everyone at Four Brix laughed about our quest and made us feel so welcome... Please give them a try and their signature blend was amazing enough to get two bottles and deal with getting them home on the plane. A must visit if you are out there. Thank you Four Brix for one of the highlights of our trip! We will laugh about this for years to come. read more

This is place is amazing. I have been to a lot of wineries but this place is ranked as one of my favorite. The owner brought us in the back and gave us an amazing tour and wine lesson. We were able to witness her moving the grapes around in the bins. The server was also very warm and welcoming. This place is a little hidden but should still be visited. I work near here and I can't believe I waited two yesrs to stop by. After our amazing interaction I joined the wine club and I am so excited for the first pick-up party. I would suggest trying this place asap read more

Thin dry wines in an industrial area. Unfriendly pourers with scant pours - which is OK since the wine isn't good.

We hosted our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at Four Brix last weekend. It was the perfect venue for a casual, fun dinner, and a great way to introduce our friends and family to this local hidden gem. We served their Desirous, Temptress and Zeductive wines, and our guests were impressed with all three selections. The Barrel Room easily accommodated seating for 60 guests, and Karen, Gary and staff were attentive to our every need. It was a perfect start to a beautiful wedding weekend! Thank you, Four Brix! read more

We enjoyed the amazing wines, both white and red, although most of the tastes were red wines. LP was our charming hostess, and she gave us a quick tour, too! We bought 2 reds...can t wait to open them with a special meal! read more

Karen and Gary both sat with me and made me feel at home. I enjoyed the wine selection and ambiance! Will definitely be back when I'm in Ventura read more

Laura and Jim put on an amazing tasting for our wine group in Oakland. Our group (KOV) was intrigued about a California winery embracing the European blending styles. The classic blends of Italy (Super Tuscan), France (Cotes du Rhone), and Spain (Rioja), made with California grapes. The wines themselves, Temptress,Rhonedesvous, and Scosso were a revelation. The blending techniques utilized by Jim are really unique in California winemaking today. Not only were we treated to an education in blending, but a real treat in the wines themselves. We tasted them with different foods, as these are wines are made to be enjoyed with food. Four Brix wines should be sought out by all wine aficionados as well as the everyday wine lover. read more
