However, we decided to have a service technician come and check it out to see how serious it was before making a decision to replace our washer. They dispatched Josh to our home and he was great. Very respectful and professional and got to work right away. He figured out the issue which thank goodness was not major and fixed the washer. He tested it out prior to leaving and I was so grateful that he was able to take care of it on the spot and didn't have to order parts for it. Kudos to everyone at this business! When the technician arrived he informed us that there was a hairline crack in the glass and we would have to pay to replace it prior to diagnosing the electrical issue, and he gave me a price. After he left I had a look at the glass cooktop, and there was a large crack going across it that was NOT there prior to the technician's visit. I talked to him, and asked him about the crack, that was not there prior to their visit. Pro Appliance called me back, said it was my word against theirs. And that they would not do the repair any longer because I assused their technician of breaking the glass. Well the reason I accused the Technician of breaking the glass is because the crack was not there prior to the technician coming out, and it was there after they left. I clean that cooktop twice daily, and there was no crack. I offered to pay for the repair reguardless, and they still refuse to pay. I don't know when companies stopped acting with integrity. When people stopped taking responsibility for their actions. Pro Appliance lies, and refuses to back up their work.

Yesterday I reserved a cargo van at the Prescott Valley Home Depot; they took a $150 deposit. Today I went to that store, presented my driver's license, and was told I first needed to scan a QR code on my phone (!!??). Then I received a text, with a magic number. Then I typed the magic number into something called "CLEAR". Then CLEAR had me take a selfie. Then present my license to my phone camera; CLEAR repeated "try again", but eventually CLEAR got it. But then it demanded the back of the license. So again I showed it to the camera. This time "No document detected" ... over and over and over. So I handed my phone to the HD employee: "here, you do it - I could have applied for a mortgage in the time this is taking". The HD employee tried and tried, always failing, until CLEAR apparently crashed (blank blue screen). BTW this is a recent Samsung phone (not an antique), with a very clear & legible license, with good store lighting. I gave up - I said "here, look at the photo on the license, then look at me - it's obviously a match". The HD replied that he can't verify it himself. I asked if he could override the CLEAR step - no. I asked him to call his manager - he said he couldn't override CLEAR either. So I said call the president of Home Depot; he said he couldn't override it either. Apparently even the Pope would not be trusted to simply look at my license, then look at me, and confirm it's the same person. I asked, what can we do? He said, nothing can be done - he could not rent me anything. If CLEAR is no important to national security at Home Depot, then perhaps Home Depot should have equipment at the register that can scan a license under controlled conditions, not relying on the customer or the customer's technology. I had people waiting for me to bring a truck for a move today. And I drove across town to this HD for this rental. You took a $150 deposit from me. And wasted a lot of my time an patience. Fortunately, there was a U-Haul not far from there, where I got a truck and did my move, quickly and easily, for less $ than the HD estimate. As far as can tell, HD does not really want to be in the rental business.
