On a…read morepost-lunch stroll around downtown Portsmouth my companion wanted to go in for a look, and the minute I saw the wall-length display of kitchen gadgets I was hooked. A few things I already had (extensive Oxo products which I swear by, graters, zesters, spatulas, peelers, ice cube trays, I could go on). I resisted the temptation to buy the handy long-handled spoon that would be perfect for scraping the bottoms of jam or peanut butter jars. My companion and I giggled over a couple of "must haves"--unicorn shaped ice cubes anyone?--but the display was impressive. But kitchen gadgets are just a start. Bowls, knives (I now know what a ceramic knife is), pots, pans, and items better described by others here. it reminded me of a Sur La Table or Williams Sonoma. Just when I thought I was going to get out of there without a purchase, I discovered the perfect pasta/ramen bowl (pictured) to replace one I had recently broken. Durned you, LeRoux Kitchen!!!

For example, our countertop contractors were balking at how tight a radius some of the corners were planned to be, the owner of KRB got them to remove the countertops again and buy the right tooling to cut the planned corner radius. On my last contact to make an appointment for oven repair she was beyond rude, I asked if i could speak to someone else or Matt directly. My words were this "your just an unpleasant person". She then hung up on me. Tried calling back with no luck. Several friends in the area have used them and had the same thoughts on their customer service. My advice is if you can't get to Matt directly then move on, plenty of other companies that show more respect to their customers. Just contact Viking direct and they will find another company for you as they did for us (and they agreed that this company doesn't have a great track record)
