We had our entire home painted on August 18, 2025, and I stayed until August 22, 2025, to go back…read moreto Connecticut and when we moved in September 10, 2025, into our home in PA. I e-mailed project manager and said that ALL 16 doors had paint drippings on door handles, hinges, latches, locks. Was told I signed off on the sheet and that it was a month later making this claim and there nothing Amato could do, but really it was 17 days. These are just a sample of the pictures; I could not take pictures of all the inside/outside hinges of 16 doors. There is not one door that did not have paint drippings, i also did not take pictures of the paint drippings on our ceiling fan, brand new bathroom fixtures. Absolutely horrible customer service, they got their money, so I am a lost memory. These pictures speak volumes.

As the other reviews say, they subcontract. I had to have the lead guy come out twice to fix all…read morethe mistakes the sub contractor made. You'd think the guy whose name is on the company would reach out and apologize? Or inspect the work that is done under his name? No. Poor business practice. Had my molding done all on my first floor, paint was all over my existing walls. Had the ceilings done and he splattered all over my existing wall paint. General patching was included, when i pointed out a spot Ryan and i specifically discussed the original subcontractor spackled it and left it. Job done. The sub contractor had to contantly ask what work needed to be done, the guy didn't even know the job!!! I spent a day cleaning up paint chips off my wood floors and peeling tape left behind. Had to take 2 days off work to have them come out and "fix" it. Im still looking at my old paint through the new paint in some spots. Ive resorted to fixing it myself because i don't want them touching my walls again. Steer very clear of them. Never again.

As a homeowner, my husband and I have shopped in both Lowe's and Home Depot for over 20 years. We…read morehave spent an extraordinary amount of money in both of these stores. We rarely need to make returns, but we just had a recent instance of having to return 5 bags of polymeric sand because we decided to have the job done by a contractor. I saved the receipt and my husband went to the store to return the sand. It was a VERY UNPLEASANT experience to learn that there is a 90 day window on returns (with receipt) and NO EXCEPTIONS ARE GRANTED FOR A RESELLABLE ITEM such as polymeric sand! Needless to say, we have made our LAST purchase at Lowes and I will be sharing this VERY NEGATIVE experience EVERYWHERE I can.

After having recently completed a true Bataan Death March of a bathroom renovation that was done…read morealmost exclusively with supplies from Lowe's, I need to testify about something. As much as corporate America wants to tell you that a chain location is a chain location, I say nay-nay on that one. It very much is not. It was truly a maddening hodge-podge experience of store X having one thing you need in stock, yet store Y will have a different piece but not the same thing as store X so it's almost impossible to physically see or purchase multiple things under one roof at the same time (even for very basic things) since the inventory is so damn varied. That doesn't begin to describe my favorite of the Lowe's website telling you that item X is in stock at store X only to get there and find out that ooops, it's actually not. Of course, the crap consolation prize is that they can always order it but when your contractor wants it today, waiting a week for it to get sent to the store or your house doesn't really cut it. During our long and winding road, we visited (in most cases multiple times) the stores in Bethlehem, Whitehall, P-Burg, Lancaster, both stores in Reading, and Flemington. Phillipsburg for bathroom related items (be it fixtures, vanities, flooring, wall tile, plumbing, electrical, etc.) was easily hands down the best store for selection and for actually having staff that were visible and willing to help. Fantastic assistance from a few of the guys here in flooring and over in paint/stains. Very knowledgeable with what will work/not work and with how things will look when applied. I've been going to the Bethlehem store since it opened many years ago and it is literally not possible to get the same type of involvement from the staff (if you can find them) at that store. At some point in the future after we're able to absorb the hit to the body this project cost us, it'll be time for the kitchen and while I'm sure multiple stores will be needed, we'll be starting at this one.
